The bar just got darker đŚ and way more fun! The Halloween Update has arrived in Capote, bringing tons of awesome new features â but beware: the Halloween event is for a limited time only!

đŻď¸ Whatâs new in this update:
Halloween-themed bar: get into the spirit and play in a fully decorated setting!
New playable character â BetĂŁo: a new face joins the table!
Single-player mode with bots: play solo or fill the table with AI opponents!

đ§š Fixes and improvements:
The selected card is now correctly played when time runs out.
Increased minimum voice chat volume.
Fixed visual bugs in character selection.
Donât wait â the Halloween event wonât last forever, and the bar will soon return to normal!
But the rest stays! Gather your friends (or challenge the bots), grab your cards, and enjoy this spooky season in Capote.

Updated tarot card sprites.
The camera is now positioned closer to the player.
Added missing button icons to the control hints.

Fixed dialogue flickering when it closed at the same time as leaving the interaction zone.
Menus
* Fixed a glitch where, sometimes, when continuing a game, going back to the Main Menu makes the "New Game" menu appear even though there is still a saved game.
⢠Fixed a glitch where, sometimes, when selecting a menu option with a controller, a random option is automatically selected in the next menu even though the button was only pressed once.
⢠Fixed a glitch in the Quit Game Confirmation Menu. If the "No" button was pressed, the pause main menu loads as expected. After the pause menu loads, if the back button was pressed while in the pause menu, it caused another menu to appear behind the pause menu.
⢠Updated the Restart Game Confirmation and Quit Game Confirmation Menu's so that "Yes" is on the top and "No" is on the bottom.
Story
⢠Made minor improvements to the general story dialogue.
Ghosts are now available to race against in Raccoon Roller! Go up against your personal best or download other player ghosts from the leaderboards to learn their secrets.
Ghost update notes:
- Completing a run will store a local copy of the ghost for you to race against, these are updated everytime you beat it's time.
- Ghosts are only updated to the leaderboards if you beat your old leaderboard time.
- Set whether you want to race downloaded, player only, or no ghosts in the options.|
Other changes:
- Some UI elements have had small changes to better implement partial controller support for ghosts.
- Code changes to implement ghosts means leaderboards and steam integration were redone, if you notice any bugs let me know in the discord.
I'll soon be adding a single level that runs through all the levels as a speedrun mode, there'll be a challenge and prizes along with it so keep an eye out in the discord.

There will be a pause in demo updates after this one (except in the case of major bugs), in order to continue developing the full version of CiniCross more efficiently.
This update seems to be on the right track.

Here is the content of the latest update:
Added new music (composed by Not Jam).
It is now possible to adjust the SFX and music volumes independently in the settings.
You can now reroll unretrieved artifacts in the rewards screen in exchange for Gold.
A visual effect now indicates which cell increases which artifactâs vertical counter.
Mouse controls are now displayed during puzzles.
The Campfire now gives a healing item when your HP are at maximum.
New puzzles have been added to avoid replaying the same ones.
Artifacts no longer shrink when you have many of them. You can now scroll through your artifacts bar to view them all.

Fixed a bug that caused a crash if the saved language was invalid.
Fixed a bug where Sifâs Bowâs vertical counter didnât take Sifâs Arrows into account.
Fixed a bug that allowed items and artifacts to be collected during the XP gain sequence at the end of a run.
Fixed a bug that allowed the Bloody Dice to be used while HP were already full.
Fixed a bug that prevented obtaining the Stick artifact.
Fixed a bug that caused the game to start with the first difficulty already completed.
