This Dev Log isn’t about fixes or new features. It’s sharing how we’ve built the world, and preparing you for the upcoming Big Update.

For those who love the lore, the exploration, and the feeling of seeing the pieces fall into place – this one’s for you.


The Fracture and the Realignment

When the Abyss shattered into countless worlds, the flow of power fractured as well. What was once whole – Combat, Gathering, and Farm – split into three Echoes of Creation, each shaping their own fragment of reality.

Now, every resource, creature, and biome belongs to a clearer path – so your journey unfolds in harmony with the lore itself.


The Three World Branches

Each branch represents a different aspect of power and purpose.

1. Endbringer (Combat) – where strength is forged through battle.

  • Worlds: Primorath, Zephyrion, Eclipsia

2. Veinstalker (Gather) – where the pulse of the Abyss runs through stone and bone.

  • Worlds: Titanholm, Gravehollow, Infernum

3. Verdant Warden (Farm) – where life, mutation, and nature’s will intertwine.

  • Worlds: Frostveil, Venomreach, Eldoria


The Three Arcs

Each Arc represents a deeper descent into the Abyss – and a higher tier of challenge, mastery, and understanding.

  • Arc I – Epic Tier: Primorath / Titanholm / Frostveil

  • Arc II – Legendary Tier: Zephyrion / Venomreach / Gravehollow

  • Arc III – Divine Tier: Infernum / Eldoria / Eclipsia

Each Arc weaves together one world from each layer, creating a natural synergy between playstyles.

The Gatherer’s forge empowers the Warrior’s blade. The Farmer’s harvest sustains long expeditions. And Exploration unites them all – guiding you toward the final world layer: Ancient Sanctum – Shinmetsu.


The Path Forward

This isn’t just a balance update. It’s a rediscovery of what Abyss truly is – a living, broken world slowly remembering itself.

Every swing of your blade, every crystal mined, every seed sown – all of it brings you closer to understanding the core of this universe.

The Main Quest will evolve alongside this new foundation. Endbringer worlds will serve as the frontline of your story, while Veinstalker and Verdant Warden realms will support your growth – making the journey smoother, richer, and more meaningful.

Mirror Atelier - Fifth Rubric
In this update we have added keyboard navigation and a simple safety guard mechanism for Shuffle Tiles button for convenience. This update features content version 20251030-v4 with the addition of the three new cat puzzles into "Magical Cats" serie. Some more non-sensical things done by these magical cats will be in the stories screen for you to read.

Biggest Changes in This Update
  • Reshuffle Tiles button transformed into a two phase button.
    You have to click "Reveal Reshuffle Action" button in order to click "Shuffle Tiles" button. It will revert back to "Reveal Reshuffle Action" after a second.
  • Three new levels added to "Magical Cats" serie.
  • Keyboard Navigation added with limited features into Mirror Component.
    You can use keyboard keys to solve puzzles. See explanation below.
Keyboard Navigation
  • Arrow Keys: Moves secret tile in the direction of arrow.
    Note: You may prefer Show Puzzle Secret option to make secret tile visible in order to prevent confusion caused by movement of the visible tile at the opposite direction.
  • Space Keys: Skips the current Narrative or Picture interaction screen.
    You can still read the narratives in the Stories screen after you acquire them.
    Note: Show Narrative option will be set to off by default after this patch for new players. If you are an old player you will have to disable narratives from the Options screen.
    If you think the default should be on, please open a discussion on the community hub about this subject.

  • Music stops after the first loop finishes : Fixed

Dear Whiskers,

I am the Duke of North Castle and it is my great pleasure to write to you little ones about how our Great Kingdom works. Ours is a Kingdom of peace. Ours is a Kingdom of fairness. And above all, ours is a Kingdom of duty.


Under the King’s Graceful Guidance, we have lived in peace between our races for all of known history. Our Kingdom provides Whiskers with protection, jobs, and purpose. In exchange we ask only that you contribute your loyalty, honesty, and fealty. You demonstrate this honesty by earnestly paying your taxes on time and without complaint, as do all working class members of our Kingdom.

The Benefits of Taxation
When you pay your taxes, the resources collected by our Tax Collecting ships are brought back to the Kingdom mainland where they are sold to the operators of Royal Factories. These factories employ Whiskers who would otherwise be aimless. The factories in turn produce the goods which supply the greater part of the Kingdom’s consumption.


The Gold revenue generated from the sale of your island resources to our factories is called the Colony Contribution. This Colony Contribution is distributed in turn as stipends to the nobility of the Kingdom, and the Kingdom’s own Departments. For example: Nobility who, through no fault of their own, might have lost the majority of their Whisker labourers due to weather or disease, may receive a stipend from the state to support their estate’s needs. Meanwhile, Departments which do not have the capacity for direct revenue generation (either through factory operations or labourer taxation), receive a majority of their Staff Stipends from the Colony Contribution.

Revenues from the Colony Contribution are never stockpiled, and historically have not made up the majority of the revenue required to support even the Nobility stipend. In recent years – thanks to the wisdom of our King, the expansion of the Royal Factories, and the establishment of new Colonies – we have been able to support a majority of the Kingdom’s financial needs through the Colony and Labourer taxes.


A Warning for Tax Cheaters
In the past, certain Whisker colonies saw fit to cheat on their tax obligation. They made up excuses on why their contributions were underpaid. We saw these excuses for what they truly were: greed. When Whiskers get greedy, they start prioritizing their own personal desires over the needs of the Kingdom. They build homes instead of mines. They run bathhouses instead of cotton fields.

The gall of these greedy Whiskers, relaxing in a bath when they could be generating value.
The most egregious of these tax cheaters have even resorted to establishing their own factories and smuggling the high tier goods they produce to other colonies and nations. This is a travesty of the highest order – one that robs the Royal Factories of their King-given right to be the exclusive suppliers for all colonies. An independent, self-sustaining Whisker colony is a violation of the Kingdom’s values and undermines the balance by which our Kingdom has thrived for so long.

Let me make the warning clear: these tax cheaters have paid the ultimate price for their greed and their transgression. Our vast Naval fleet made sure they are no longer with us in this mortal realm.


You would be wise to learn the lessons their folly teaches: Pay your taxes on time and in full.
