Mesoké - Merhunes

Hello everyone,

Many of you have joined the Mesoké Playtest, and I’ve still received new access requests over the past few days.
Instead of closing it today as originally planned, I’ve decided to keep it open a little longer, so everyone can experience the game at their own pace.

This Playtest remains a work-in-progress build, not representative of the final version:
There’s no save system yet, some screen resolutions aren’t supported, and you may still encounter small rough edges here and there.
But your feedback and feeling are truly valuable.

Thank you to everyone who has already taken a quiet moment to fly through Mesoké’s world.
Your messages, your wishlists, and your curiosity all help me move forward with gratitude and confidence.

Vivien

1.1 Patch Notes

  • New black market offers. The black market still has only two offers per shop visit, but the offers will be randomized each time you reach the shop. You won't always have the 'Second Wind' opportunity.

  • Six new perks to discover.

  • Four new text events to try your luck.

  • Bounce and sludge blocks now give a visual warning(like the poison and fire blocks do) before spreading.

  • Added an option to reset tutorials in the options menu.

  • Boost speed has been lowered by a quarter.

  • The amount of unlock tokens you have is now shown on the bottom left of the HUD during missions.

  • You can now use the left or right stick to control the cursor when using a gamepad.

  • The 'Buster' turret's kick has been halved.

  • increased the length of the red flash when damaged.

  • Rammed enemy knock back is halved.

  • Quick visual indicator on the front of your drone to notify you when you've rammed an enemy.

  • Hazards are no longer increased on security levels that shouldn't increase them.

  • Fixed a bug causing the tutorial text cards to be misaligned.

  • Wrecking Ball and Mega Wrecker turrets now display damage amount above damaged enemies like all other turrets do.

  • You can now build a new turret in the shop when you have the exact amount of copper, not just when you have more.

  • You no longer spend an unlock token when clicking on a turret you've already unlocked in the permanent unlock menu.

  • Fixed "Better Buddy" achievement only unlocking by upgrading Aux Bot's damage. If you've already maxed out the other Aux Bot upgrades you will need to put a point in the damage upgrade to unlock it.

  • Fixed "Deadly Weapon" achievement only unlocking by upgrading turrets at the shop. It should unlock now when upgrading a turret to max in any of the various ways you're able to.

  • Other various minor fixes and polish.

Longvinter - Sven
Hi peeps!

Many of you are waiting eagerly for an update on what is coming next. This year's autumn event will be a little different and we will continue focusing on stability, so let's go over today's topics.

Where is the Halloween event?

We have decided to skip an official Halloween event this year and focus more on bringing you an "autumn catalogue." This will be a collection of new outfits that are autumn-themed, which the game is lacking quite a bit. Outfits start dropping next week and only require active playing. Stay tuned for more info coming next week. In the meantime, here is a small teaser of a new outfit:

Tutorial and Stability Update

We have also almost completed the work on a new tutorial level. This will be a quiet and relaxing introduction to the game, which new players can enjoy. It will hopefully increase the player count, which means more community for the official servers! A tutorial has always been something that we have been reluctant to do since we wanted to maintain a sense of mystery and the challenge of learning new things in the game. However, since the game has grown so much in scope since its initial release, we feel like now we can give players a tutorial that gets them familiar with base mechanics without giving up too much discovery. This merely enables the discovery to start!

Also, we are going to start a new round of optimisation for servers. We are next targeting memory usage and more CPU improvements to gain back the stability we had a couple of months ago. We have been pleasantly surprised by how stable UE5 has been, and the connection issues we had last time are mainly gone now, but we still have work to do! We will also be looking into the dinghy physics since they have been affected since UE5 uses a different physics engine compared to UE4.

We also had a small update today and here are the patch notes for that:

  • Fixed energy drink applying full speed buff while swimming
  • Dismantling your cabin now gives you correct version of the workbench
  • Added Mahi Mahi to shop catalogs
  • Fixed a problem with Linux Distribution. It was missing a new required configuration .ini file
Sorrows End - jcicestorm2
Happy Halloween folks! Happy 2nd birthday Sorrows End! In celebration, I have a very special update.

Replay value has always been a concern to me. From the very beginning, I had hoped to put a system in place to allow players to restart after completion of the main story, carrying over their gold and certain items. This has always eluded me, mostly because I'm an amateur with no formal training. However, just like in games, experience and practice inevitably lead to new skills. So, I am excited to announce the implementation of New Game+ mode!

In NG+, all your gold, charms, and accessories carry over to the new game. In NG+, you will also be able to freely change character classes once the OG character from the class joins up. But wait, there's more! 5 new hybrid classes are available as well. Each class has a separate xp pool. Skills will NOT carry between classes, however any level up bonus stats and distribution points will. Finally, to offer challenge to the most hardened players, NG+ will unlock a new difficulty. Ultimate difficulty: +300% ATK/DEF/MAT/MDF. For those severely masochistic folks that want every battle to be life or death (most likely death) and those folks that want an excuse to buy a new controller.

To create a NG+ file: Complete the game with any ending. Bad Endings will prompt you to create a new save file for NG+ mode. The Good Ending will do that as well as spawn a new npc just outside of Castle Dicleus for the option to create a file post game. Once created, simply load the new file from the main menu or save menu to begin your journey (mostly) anew.

Other changes include: Updated save screen to allow loading as well. Added several completely hidden items, all of which are obtainable through normal play as well. Round 1 of map beautification complete.
Nin Online - Ueda

I know the version number for this update is pretty troll, but we're not ready to call Nin Online a version 6 until it contains the next major content expansion, but we still really need to put out some of these updates!

I also apologize for the degraded server performance and downtime in the last couple of days for Toad/NA Server. Our hosting provider has informed us that it is resolved for good now.
