Shana - Priestess of Tona - kokkorokorro
Hello, heroes! 💋

We’ve got a very important topic on the agenda today — when will the full release of Shana – Priestess of Tona finally happen??? If everything goes well, we’ll be able to release the game this fall, just as promised. But let’s take it step by step — grab yourself a cup of tea, because this is going to be a long story ⤵️

At first, we thought we’d make it in time for a late-October release — the dates looked perfect. But then things started to happen. We submitted the full version of Shana for Steam review a month and a half before the planned release, since we’d heard from fellow developers that adult games are currently taking a long time to get approved. And, well that’s exactly what happened to us 😖

Our game was rejected twice because the adult content questionnaire was supposedly filled out incorrectly, even though we did our best to fully describe all the adult content the game includes. Apparently, the rules have become even stricter — and we simply had to comply ❤️‍🩹

We fixed everything, resubmitted it, and waited for feedback. By that point, we realized we’d have to say goodbye to an October release, as we were stuck in limbo waiting for the review process to be completed. But we didn’t waste any time — while waiting, we managed to add levels 4 and 5 and even created a demo version, which we showcased during Next Fest! 😮

So yeah, we added levels 4 and 5. Sounds easy, right? Just a bit of back and forth and straight to production. We wish it was that simple! But, unfortunately, the content won’t draw itself. So we’re working hard on filling out the new levels, still updating the UX/UI, and of course — our favorite part — making love with the game balance. We’re deeply in love, you have no idea!! 😍

We’re planning to have everything ready by the end of November, but we’ll keep you updated in case anything changes our plans! In the meantime, add the game to your wishlist — we’re just a little bit away from reaching the 30,000 wishlist mark!

Dev Blog: Naval Warfare

War Sails turns waters into battlefields. Wind, oars and the naval readiness of your crew are essential, and the ship you bring to a fight only becomes dangerous if you handle it well. This blog focuses on the naval combat experience: how you steer, how boarding works, how rams land, and how a battle moves from opening volleys to the clash on the ropes and planks.

Hoisting the Sails

Before the fight begins, the Order of Battle phase allows you to organize your forces — just as you would on land. In naval engagements, however, each formation represents a single ship and its crew. Here, you’ll select your flagship, the vessel you’ll personally helm, while assigning the remaining ships to companions or allied nobles.

The number of ships armies can deploy in an engagement is determined by their members' perks, with each side being able to launch up to eight ships. If your fleet includes more than that, you can review the roster and decide which ships to bring into the fray. For those who prefer a quicker start, you can also choose Auto-Deploy and immediately set sail against the enemy.

Order of Battle

Once the battle begins, you take direct control of your ship from the helm. Smaller vessels are steered by hand at the rudder, while larger ones demand authority from the quarterdeck, where you guide your crew through the stormy waves.

Ship Control Points: Smaller ships, Bigger ships

The opening moments of a sea battle are all about feeling the wind and setting your approach. Your sails impact both your speed and maneuverability — unfurl them to harness the wind’s strength and build momentum, or furl them when you need sharper handling with oars.

Your wind dial shows the wind’s direction relative to your ship: green marks a favorable angle, while red warns that your sails will fight against the wind instead of working with it. Each rig type behaves differently. Square sails catch a smaller wind coverage but deliver powerful bursts of speed when aligned. Lateen sails offer broader coverage, letting you carry pace across wider directions, while hybrid rigs balance the strengths of both. Hybrid sail rigs have one unique advantage — you can choose to furl the square sail while keeping the lateen one unfurled, giving you a wider coverage but stripping you of some power in the process.

Wind dial, left to right: Square, Lateen, Hybrid

When the wind falters, oarsmen become your lifeline. Rowing serves as a secondary means of thrust in naval battles, letting ships move even when the sails hang still. Oars can be used directly by the player as well, and the troops will retract them when ships draw alongside to prevent shearing against nearby hulls. While regular hull contact won’t harm them, a direct ram strike can — oars caught near the impact may snap under the force.

If you align a strong sail rig with a favorable wind angle and build speed, oars add little once you’re already moving fast — and knowing that may be crucial. Every man on a rowing bench is one less bow on deck.

You can issue three levels of rowing commands:

  • Stop using oars – benches are empty, and every crewman is ready to fight.

  • Use oars at half power – half the benches are manned, giving steady thrust while keeping some hands free for combat.

  • Use oars at full power – every bench is filled, maximizing speed but leaving fewer fighters on deck.

With oars, you can maneuver without wind, pivot on the spot, or even row in reverse.

Oar Power Commands

The Battle Begins

Each ship functions as its own formation, following your orders. While you helm one vessel directly, you can still orchestrate the wider fight — not by directing allied soldiers but selecting their ships to issue formation orders: move, follow, skirmish, engage, or target a specific enemy. Should you choose to delegate command, AI captains can skirmish if they hold missile superiority, support pressured allies, avoid collisions, or close in to ram and board when the moment is right.

Moving on from those first moments, most battles open at range. If your ship carries a ballista, you can take control of it from the helm. Line up your shot and depending on the ballista type — unleash bolts, stones or fire pots before proceeding with your next maneuver. And should you find yourself away from the helm, you can operate the weapon directly — much like in siege battles.

Archers and javelin throwers trade volleys across the waves, drawing from nearby supply crates to keep the pressure going longer. With braziers, those volleys turn into raining flames — fire arrows that can burn sails and set hulls ablaze. A ship with its sails burned is left without one of its main drives.

Ballista Exchange

Close Quarters

As the distance closes, other methods of destruction come into play. Effective ramming is only available to ships equipped for it, but when used on a battered ship, it can decide the battle in a single strike. Angle, speed, ship weight, and impact point all shape the damage dealt — the perfect hit comes from a fast, perpendicular collision into the enemy’s midsection. Nose-to-nose clashes do little, but a clean side impact can crush hull planks, kill nearby crew outright, or send soldiers sprawling across the deck. On a perfect strike, the shock can shake the entire ship and the troops’ morale.

Ramming

The above-mentioned ship weight is a double-edged trait in naval combat. Heavier hulls take more time to get moving and to turn, but they ram harder and overcome bigger waves with more stability. You’ll feel the difference between the ship classes: a heavy one cuts through stormy waters that a light hull struggles with.

Hulls also break where they’re struck. Damage isn’t abstract — a ship partially sinks from the wounded side. If a ship’s Hit Points get depleted, it sinks completely. In case a fire takes hold, the crew will abandon their stations and tools, helpless until the ship succumbs to the flames. And the scars of battle remain: without repairs, ships carry their wounds into the next fight.

Ship Sinking

When the distance closes and the moment comes to board, give the command. You and your crew can throw grappling hooks toward the enemy ship — a single connection is enough to draw the two hulls together and form a rope bridge. Multiple hooks hasten the pull and allow more bridges to form for the assault. Once connected, you can direct your crew’s stance: Defend, Follow, Charge, or Hold/Fire at Will.

As the clash intensifies, clusters of chained ships often form — islands of locked hulls where crews fight across decks and rope bridges. If your ship is connected indirectly through another, your Charge order will send troops surging forward across every link in the chain to reach the enemy. But if the fight turns against you, you can return to the control point and command your crew to cut the bridges loose — or cut them yourself. Choosing the right moment to do this is important — any troops standing on the bridge when it is cut loose will fall into the water, including your own.

Boarding

Units won’t slip from a bridge mid-fight unless it’s cut, but the player can fall or jump off. Even then, all is not lost — you can swim, dive, and climb back aboard using the climbing nets every ship carries. Troops, however, can only swim for a limited time. Their endurance depends on tier, mariner background, and armor weight — once spent, they begin to take damage and will eventually drown. When a ship sinks, its surviving crew will attempt to swim toward the nearest friendly deck, struggling for safety before the sea claims them.

Swimming & Climbing

Commandeering an enemy ship mid-battle is also possible — abandon your initial hull, clear the enemy deck, seize the rudder, and continue the fight aboard the new ship. This can prove invaluable when your own ship is too damaged to continue the fight or lacks upgrades such as a ram or ballista that could help turn the tide of battle.

The Last Stand

Fresh troops keep the fight alive, and this is where reinforcements come into play. Each ship manages its own reinforcements, determined by its individual attributes.

A ship’s Deck Capacity defines how many troops can be on deck and fighting at once. Most vessels have matching Maximum and Deck Capacity, but some ships carry more crew than can stand topside. These extra soldiers remain below deck, waiting to take the place of the fallen. As casualties rise, they spawn to reinforce the fight and keep the deck manned. If a ship’s morale breaks, those reinforcements stop coming, even if the hull is still afloat.

Victory can be secured by destroying every enemy ship (even if survivors remain in the water) or by eliminating all enemy troops, whichever comes first.

You and your allies may be able to claim defeated ships as prizes, adding them to your fleet. Your skills and perks — along with the condition of the captured hulls — determine which vessels you can take and which must be left to the depths.

We’re thrilled to be nearing the launch of War Sails, and we can’t wait to set sail alongside you. Wishlist it now, follow our social channels for developer updates, and prepare to hoist your sails when the winds of release arrive.

Several vehicles of this type have been built and are currently in use by the Russian military. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Typhoon-VDV is a Tier 10 Premium AFV. It is a powerful vehicle on its own, featuring high firepower in the form of 30mm autocannon and an ATGM launcher with two tubes loaded with thermobaric missiles that can be launched both at once. Kurganets-25

The Kurganets-25 Infantry Fighting Vehicle is intended as a cutting edge future replacement to the old BMP series in Russian service. While not as chunky and expensive as the T-15 Armata super-heavy IFV, it’s designed to finally offer the 21st century protection levels the Russian military has been demanding for a long time. However, the design turned out to be quite expensive and while it is currently undergoing state trials, it is unlikely to be ever mass-produced. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Kurganets-25 is a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. Even though it offers decent protection and mobility for its class, this vehicle is all about firepower. To make sure you always have the right tool for the job, it comes with three distinctive weapon systems – a 57mm autocannon for light targets, fast and small Bulat missiles for highly mobile targets and, finally, full-sized ATGMs that can defeat pretty much anything on the battlefield. If dealing damage is your thing, few vehicles will match your playstyle better.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Msta-S

The Msta-S SPG was developed as a replacement to the older 2S3 Akatsiya. The goal was to match (or surpass) the newly developed NATO artillery pieces with long 155mm guns. The production began in 1988 and is currently ongoing with a modernized variant rolling out for the Russian military. More than 500 Msta-S SPGs are still in Russian service and dozens were exported to several other countries. It has seen some combat during the Second Chechen War and the War in Donbass. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Msta-S is a Tier 9 Self-Propelled Gun, which makes it only usable in the Global Operations mode and in PvE. It comes with two shell types – a slow-flying one with a high flight arc, and a fast-flying one for use against more mobile targets.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

https://armoredwarfare.com/web-shop

Khrizantema-S

The Khrizantema-S is a dedicated tank hunter, built on a modified BMP-3 hull. The first Khrizantema-S prototype appeared in public as early as 1996 with the initial production variant (9P157) entering service in 2005. Around 2010, an upgraded variant called 9P157-2 appeared with a modernized Ukrainian optics system and a hull machinegun the original model lacked. This variant was in use until 2017. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Khizantema-S is a Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer. It is quite a stealthy vehicle armed with a twin ATGM launcher. The key to achieving excellent results with this machine is long-range ATGM sniping followed by rapid relocation. The missiles are quite powerful and make hits easy thanks to their excellent performance.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

https://armoredwarfare.com/web-shop

T-72B3

The T-72B3 is the most modern Russian T-72 variant currently in service. It is a heavily upgraded version of the T-72B, featuring Kontakt-5 ERA kit and an improved Fire Control System. Together, these modifications allow the aging T-72 to serve well into the 21st century. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article!

In Armored Warfare, the T-72B3 is a Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank. It continues the tradition of other Russian tanks. Its low silhouette, good mobility, powerful 125mm gun and its advanced ERA kit make it a formidable opponent. This version of the T-72B3 is offered without any camouflage.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Apex Legends™ - respawn_bean

Season 27 is upon us, Legends, and it is adrenaline-packed! Chase new heights in an updated Olympus, rebuilt for better flow, dynamic positioning, and elevated gameplay. Check out changes to Valkyrie, Rampart and Horizon that are sure to get your blood pumping. Welcome to the fray, the Double Tap Alternator Hop-Up, destined to make the Alternator a close range demon. Plus, expand your advanced movement toolkit with Mantle Boost and dive into the party. Ranked drop zone POIs are getting a loot distribution adjustment. This season, we also have updates to audio systems that we think legends will be excited about. With updates to the Trident AND a new Wishlist feature, this season is ready for you to lock in and feel the rush!

OLYMPUS RISING

Float into a more competitive Olympus, with NEW POIs: Somers University, Gravity Engine, Stabilizer and Dockyard! After a mysterious, second Olympus is discovered crash-landed on PĂĄgos, Horizon moves in to uncover what it all means, and to get this Olympus back in the sky and competition ready.

By reducing open space and reworking problematic areas like Orbital Cannon and Energy Depot, this Olympus aims to provide a smoother competitive experience with safer rotations and more cover. Here’s a preview of some of the new locations in this update:

Somers University – Built by Horizon to explore the mysteries of the universe and honor her son Newton, Somers University replaces Orbital Cannon and brings bold architecture and high-flying lifts to Olympus.

Gravity Engine – The new beating heart of Olympus, Gravity Engine replaces Energy Depot and harnesses the power of Branthium to keep the city afloat. Lifts, zip rails, and verticality collide making this POI the next hotspot on Olympus.

Stabilizer – This platform in the sky replaces Docks and is responsible for keeping Olympus properly aligned. Floating rocks from the planet below provide a path to its outer ballast structure.

Dockyard – This camp near Hydroponics gets a massive upgrade, combining nostalgic elements from the original Olympus with a new emphasis on vertical gameplay.

And that’s not all! We’ve made tweaks to almost every corner of Olympus, with new camps to explore and additional cover in previously open spaces. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback on these changes.

AMPED’S LEGENDS

We have a swath of Legend changes this season and Valkyrie, Rampart and Horizon are in the spotlight!

Valkyrie is ready to rule the skies with a revamped jetpack; she can take flight quicker and move further than ever before. Rampart’s walls now have a roof that allows her to bunker up. Charge up your amped walls by dealing damage, then charge into battle. Horizon is primed with new upgrades that enable her to either float off her lift, or quickly slam to the ground.

Get all the details on the Legend changes and more meta updates in the Patch Notes on November 3rd, 2025.

DOUBLE BARREL DEVASTATION

Say hello to our little friend, the “Double Tap” Alternator Hop-Up! Get ready for devastating close-range firepower and watch enemies drop before they know what hit them. Harnessing the power of both barrels at the same time this smg-shotgun hybrid excels in the hands of any Legend that can close the gap and double tap (rule #2).

MANTLE BOOST

We’re adding another tool to your movement toolbox—officially! Give yourself a burst of movement by activating Mantle Boost as you climb up from ledges or walls, and use it to dive into your next fight. If you took the time to master what our community calls Superglide, don’t worry it isn’t going anywhere and remains the high bar for skill - Mantle Boost brings similar functionality with higher accessibility for all legends. Adjustable on-screen indicators will help you achieve perfect timing so you can work this technique into your battle strategy!

AMPED RANKED PLAY

We’re adjusting loot quality across Drop Zones in Ranked play! The new Drop Zones sparked many internal and external discussions, one of which is about the fairness of different POI loot quality when you have no choice on where to drop.

To assuage these frustrations, you will see more consistency in loot quality across different POIs. There will still be variance, but they will not be as extreme. Our goal is to have each match feel more fair, no matter where you drop. We will continue to monitor community feedback and reception.

TRIDENT TUNE-UPS

Tridents are getting a tune-up this season! Starting in Season 27, they will feature improved handling, better and more lenient boost control and an all new ability to jump and glide over rough terrain.

In addition to a wealth of handling changes the Trident now deals low ramming damage when barreling into opponents. But don't worry, they also have their own health pool and can be destroyed - you will no longer see damage split between the occupants (which means, yes, you can snipe someone off a Trident now!)

AMPED LAUNCH CHALLENGES

Complete Amped Launch Challenges within the first two weeks to earn NEW Amped Seasonal Packs to test out the new Wishlist feature and get a shot at the Mythic 'Bird of Prey' R-99 skin. Build your Wishlist with 5 Legends and 2 Weapon Classes to target your favorites. For now Wishlist only affects Limited Epics in the Amped Seasonal Pack but look out for bigger updates coming soon.

For full details on our new Wishlist feature, check out the patch notes coming on November 3rd, 2025.

SEE YOU ON THE DROPSHIP

The stage is set for you to step into a new Olympus. Are you diving into the new changes to Valkyrie, Rampart and Horizon or relying on old favorites? How are you working Mantle Boost into your battle plans? There’s a lot to consider, but only one question remains: are you ready to feel the rush? Get ready, Amped launches November 7th!

Chaos Chain - Corrosive Studios [Dev]
Chaos Chain

Hey everyone!

It's been a little while since my last development status update, so I wanted to provide a quick check-in on the game's progress.

Immediate Future

My immediate goals for the next few weeks are to finalize the companion personal side quest storylines. After that, I'll continue working on new maps for the city districts and then resume development on the main quest now that we've significantly expanded the game's world with more side quests and content.

Companion personal quests have been a highly requested feature in my previous games, and they are also a top request for Chaos Chain. I'm committed to making them happen. Even if the quests aren't massive, I believe they add significant background and character development to these companions, giving them more depth beyond being loyal followers.

As some of you may know, a couple of the in-game companions already have a small personal quest line, but others do not. Completing these quests with the companion present grants them a small boost, including an extra skill and a reduction in the severity of their flaw. Currently, only a few companions benefit from this, making others feel comparatively weaker after those quests, so I aim to rectify this imbalance.

Next Update: Better Navigation

Yesterday, I focused on improving player navigation. Based on significant feedback across this game and my previous titles, a common critique is that the world can be so large it's easy to get lost, and the engine's limitations prevent a robust world map system. While I've tried to make it as straightforward as possible, I realized there was more I could do. Now, both the PDA screen and the world map screen will display the current zone you are in.

PDA Screen With Extended Current Location Details

When you enter a new area, the exact area name is shown at the top center of the screen in large purple letters, but it typically doesn't specify the broader zone or district. This hasn't changed, but now you can see your current zone on the PDA screen, and opening the world map will also display your current location. My hope is this will make navigation easier, reducing the need to rely on memory or to exit your current area just to check which district you are in.

This system is integrated with every area currently in the game; each map ID has been assigned to an array with a corresponding zone tag that will be displayed on the PDA and world map. Some areas, particularly those related to the main plot, are special cases and will display "Unknown" for the zone.

Another thing I've done is fixed every single last bug that I currently am aware of. That feels AMAZING to say. Like a breath of fresh air. The next update (coming in a few days) will have the fixes included.

Current Workplan

Chronic - Contract Killer Companion In Chaos Chain

Getting back to the companion quests, I've been working on Chronic's personal backstory. He's my favorite companion character because he's just brutally honest, only cares about himself and making money, and is meant to be a bit of comic relief in a blunt sort of way.

Chronic Being Chronic

When you first meet him, he mentions he's lying low due to running a lot of tough jobs lately and you'll get to help him resolve that. I'll continue working on his quest today until it's ready, then move on to the next companion quest until all are complete. Going forward, any new companions I add will include their personal quest right from the start to avoid future backlog work.

Meeting Chronic

I plan to release this new update ASAP, I'm just finishing up the remaining work that I have on it, will test, and then release.

I know this game has been a long time in development, and there's still a lot of work ahead. However, I hope you can see that I'm genuinely trying to incorporate community feedback and requests to deliver a great final game. Honestly, this project has been exhausting and a bit of a roller coaster, both mentally and emotionally, especially with personal life challenges. But I've stuck with it this long, and I plan to see it through. If you're willing to continue your support, please stick around; I won't let you down.
