Hello everyone,
First, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the players who have supported Cat Island Petrichor. As the debut title from LuminousNote, your excitement and encouragement have meant a great deal to us.
Because this is our first time introducing ourselves as developers, we are holding the game to the highest standards. In recent internal reviews, we concluded that additional time is needed to further refine the final details and ensure that the experience launches in the best possible state.
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the release of Cat Island Petrichor to March of next year.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. We firmly believe that this extra time will allow us to deliver a more polished and fulfilling experience when the game launches.
In addition, this December we will be exhibiting the newest development build at the G-EIGHT Game Expo in Taiwan. If you are planning to attend, we warmly welcome you to visit our booth, try the game, and share your feedback with us.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We look forward to showing you a more complete Cat Island Petrichor very soon.
Sincerely,
The LuminousNote Development Team
I have been hard at work the past few days to get the next version of Senior Sunset ready for you all to play! Originally, the plan was to release a somewhat large content update 1-2 days after my last announcement. Plans have slightly changed, but for the better overall.
Version 1.1.0 will now be a much larger update, including things like a full saving system, some major AI reworks, many quality of life features, puzzle changes, feature additions and removals, and way more than I can add here right now.
Because of how big this update is, it'll take a little bit longer to finish. This just so happens to be a very busy week for me so the progress is slower than I would've liked, but I'm about 80% done with the update now.
I'm still keeping an eye on your feedback with the game, adjusting things as needed. Being a solo developer I didn't have outside testing so the difficulty was heavily tuned to how I myself played the game. It'll be a much easier and less tedious experience once the update drops.
For those interested in playing the game, I'd actually urge you to wait for the update. It won't take more than a couple more days and I can guarantee you'll have a much better time. It might be counterproductive for me to say that, but it's better to just wait.
The next post will be the update announcement. I look forward to sharing it with you!

Scarred blends psychological horror with atmospheric puzzles, drawing you into surreal corridors, flickering void decks, and empty classrooms inspired by Singapore’s urban architecture.

Every shadow has a voice. Every silence hides a memory. Can you face what lies beneath the surface — or will you be devoured by it? With immersive environments, haunting sound design, and story-driven exploration, Scarred is a descent into the corners of the mind where fear lingers long after waking.
Unravel the nightmare.
Confront what you’ve repressed.
Discover the truth behind the scars.
Don’t look away! Scarred is 25% off now during Steam Scream Fest IV.
The Black Fog demo is now available to play.
Black Fog is a survival horror with narrative elements, following the story of Kat and Eleanor, two ex-band members who haven't spoken in over two years. When a dark fog infused with a deadly neurotoxin encompasses the nation, Kat is inflicted with rampant hallucinations, unable to discern what is real, and what is not.
Throughout the night, you'll play as Kat while she attempts to survive an onslaught of dangerous manifestations. 300+ potential hallucinations will appear and distort the surrounding house. You will need to photograph them to stay alive, or else they will rapidly raise your anxiety to lethal heights. Alongside hallucinations, other entities will appear that will attempt to let toxins into the house, short circuit the power, and even attack you directly. Survive for 2 in-game hours until Eleanor arrives to drive you to safety.
If you like the demo, consider wishlisting the game for its November 4th release!
