Unregulated - Somiaz

It's time!! I've been wanting to make a mini Halloween event for a small while now, but was focused on all the other game stuff. Plus I've been making some fun ideas for future updates too! Plus I was able to fix some graphical errors that I really should have found before EA release. Sorry about that.

Changelog
Changes
  • New Halloween Items! The main menu now features some Halloween stuff dotted about, also boxes will be set to Halloween themed items and will only be available between the 24th - 31st (I know I missed some days, but that's for next year).

  • The building grid has been made opaque and now includes a fancy black outline, now it should be more visible under bright lights.

  • The destruction marker has been given more pixels and has an outline too. It's also not a sprite anymore.

  • The Collection Cart now uses the Van wheels instead of the older wheel design.

Bugs
  • Conveyors were showing missing textures when placed. Not sure how I missed that one, sorry.

  • Water texture wasn't properly changing colour during the time of day. Also something I missed.

Embark on the Iria Expedition Event where survival meets adventure across the harsh wilds of Physis, Courcle, and Connous! Test your endurance as you battle the elements, uncover ancient relics, and push your limits before your health depletes. Brave the challenges for a chance to claim powerful rewards and prove yourself as Iria's ultimate survivor! Check below for more details.

Event Dates: Thursday, October 30th, After Maintenance - Wednesday, November 26th, Before Maintenance
Event Details
  • Upon logging in, you’ll receive the quest [Guide] Join the Treasure Seekers Association!
    • Head on over to Qilla Base and speak with Iriana Jones to sign up for promised fortune and glory and to register a main character.
    • You’ll receive the following rewards for completing the quest:
      • 5,000 EXP.
  • After registering, an Event Icon will appear allowing you to teleport to her for your future expeditions.
  • Before you can dive in, you’ll be given the follow up quest [Event] Safety Training Before you Explore. It’s required to speak to Iriana once more so she can teach you all the basics and challenges you’ll encounter during the expeditions. It’s recommended to pay attention to this survival class.
    • We don’t want Milletians getting lost and starving after all…
The Expedition
Speak with Iriana Jones to bring up the expedition menu, allowing you to choose the mode, region, supply kits (if any), and relics (if any). Keep in mind that your decisions will influence your score with multiplier bonuses.
Mode
You’ll be given the option to choose between Normal Mode and Challenge Mode.
  • In Normal Mode, you’re allowed to run as many times as you’d like, so it’s heavily recommended to do this mode for practice and getting a feel for your runs. Your only rewards will be Exploration EXP and Golden Fruit (100%), but it’s a great way to get a hang of the basics.
  • In Challenge Mode, you’ll receive more expedition points than in normal mode and have the opportunity to score rare treasures in treasure chests. However, you’ll only have 7 opportunities per week to challenge yourself, so make each attempt count! Some of the items you can find in the chests are:
    • Pieces of the Abyss Dragon Outfit Set
    • Pieces of the Saint Guardian Outfit Set
    • Pieces of the Forest Ranger Outfit Set
    • Pieces of the Eiren Chain Slasher Outfit Set
Region
The region you pick will determine the difficulty of your run.
  • Physis / Snowfield - your expedition will be cold, so remember to bring your parka and cook warm foods.
  • Courcle / Jungle - it gets hot in the jungle, be sure to stay cool and eat cold dishes to keep yourself from overheating.
  • Connous / Desert - for those who love a challenge, temperature swings will be extreme in both hot and cold.
Supply Kits
Each run, you’ll be allowed to choose to bring some supplies that will give you an edge at the start of the expedition, but in return, it’ll lower your final score multiplier. Be sure to find a good balance!
Relics
During your run, you’ll find powerful relics in treasure chests that will aid (or curse!) you. Should your expedition be successful, you’ll be able to bring up to 2 relics you obtained from your previous run on your next run to give yourself a head start.

What you’ll encounter once you begin is anyone’s guess, but Iriana Jones does provide more details on how to handle cooking/crafting, temperature control, and encounters in her expedition info, so be sure to check with her before setting out!

To keep minds and survival instincts sharp, Iriana Jones has provided members of the Treasure Seekers Association with a daily expedition quest. Each real-life day, you’ll receive the quest [Event] A Great Day to Explore and the chance to earn Falias Fragments!

Finally got tutorial 2 redone! Also fixed a volume slider control issue users were having, as well as some overall rebalancing.

  • Pipes and Roads now give x2 resource gain instead of x1.5, and combining them together gives a x4 instead of a x3.

  • Fixed an issue with loading saves, resulting in progress seemingly being lost between sessions. (It wasn't, your progress is still there! It was just not loading the data correctly).

  • Got mac up to date with windows build.

  • Fixed more typos and minor graphical bugs.

  • Completely redid tutorial 2!

My goal is for an update every week, even if it's just minor bug fixes/updates!

Feedback, bug reports are all welcome. Please feel free to start a discussion and I'll come around to it.

Cheers!

EDIT:

Turns out I saved over the 2x2 spritesheet, resulting in most 2x2 structures becoming invisible. Whoops! Fixed that real quick, with a bonus change!

  • Fixed resolution scaling issue with 4K monitors.

Bonelords - z0gamestudios

Hello everyone! After a bit of a struggle, I have added a new menu and some balancing!

  • Added a new menu in the Inventory.

    • You can view your Relics and what benefits they have.

    • You can view a log of what blessings you have picked.

  • Slightly lowered relic drop chance on a whole.

  • Relics will now only drop once the cumulative chance to drop is around 5%. No more getting an infinite stream of power-ups all at once!

  • Added 1 more loading screen tip to the main menu.

  • updated the game's Unity version to fix an engine-related security issue (Unity's fault, not mine! more info here)

Thanks for playing, and enjoy!
