Hi gang! We made two updates the past week that fixes the broken equipment loot and have reworked the smithing system. During our Next Fest build, I've added more stats to the loot drops but used a 10x multiplier while testing. I've left it out during the Next Fest build that's why the equipment were so overpowered that it broke the game.
While we won't be deleting the obtained equipment, we might consider not carrying over the item saves to the EA release build. We'll try to give an special reward on release to compensate this. I'm terribly sorry!
Here are the patch notes:
Fixed overpowered loot drops from 10x multiplier to 1x
Loot bonus stat amount are now chance based vs always getting 4 every time ie. on legendaries.
Loot bonus stats are now percentage based only.
Reworked Smithing system so that bonus stats from equipment from both items will carry over to the result item.
Fixed equipment not displaying proper values. Previously on the UI it added extra values based off it's base value even if it's not the intended feature.
Added UI support to 16:10 aspect
Fixed: Chest opening not selecting open button when enabled
Improved Results UI relic navigation.
Fixed: Soft Lock when you're on the dialogue options and have selected the dialogue box.
Fixed: Defeating Mostra on high difficulties crashes the game.
New Runner Shooter enemy - keeps distance, fires fast green Firebolts, harder to kill, appears from Mission #5
Multiple Shooters per mission - expect crossfire and flanks
New player spawn locations - better map variety and early flow
AI spawner improvements - tighter control of timing, distance, and mix
Chem Gun - performance pass and a counting bug fix
Fireball optimization - lighter tick, improved hit handling

- New magic seeds that can be found in the world and farmed
- New recipes to use with the new magical produce
- New farm machine: Seed Maker - Turn produce into seeds, allowing you expand your farm without buying seeds
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that made it impossible to interact with things in certain conditions
- Fixed a number of bugs that could corrupt data if exiting to title and starting/loading another game
- You can no longer lose your tools by putting them in a swap window and closing it

There's been a quick hotfix to address the issue where a shader acted incorrectly upon throwing a larva when TAA was disabled. The shader should now act correctly regardless of TAA setting. No other changes have been made in this patch.

This update focuses on making the gameplay smoother, clearer, and more fair. We added new UI hints to guide players through key moments and fixed a major decrypt issue that could interfere with the game flow.
โจ Added new UI hints to make progression more intuitive:
Blood spatter and blood symbol in Alicia tape are now clearly outlined
Hint to press E in the Family Reunion tape
Hint to interact with the valve
Added a QTE hint when Maria catches you (hold key prompt)
๐ Improved paper hint visuals for better readability
๐ Fixed an issue where pressing Decrypt could incorrectly trigger Hitman and SWAT events
These events can no longer be triggered during decryption
It is now impossible to die to Hitman or SWAT in this state, even with 6+ anomalies or unlocked entrance.
