The new features have been live for some time for testing, and it’s time to make it official.
Those who have already played will immediately notice the major overhaul of the graphics, UI, optimization, debugging, and balancing — the bare minimum.
But let’s talk about what really matters: the real new content.

When a player reaches the top, they finally become President. This role grants the power to change certain rules of the entire game! For example, you can decide whether undocumented players (demo players) are free to move around. Otherwise, these characters can be arrested by cop players once their residence permits expire. In short: this player decides whether the game is entirely free or not!
They can also choose, for instance, to tax men instead of women or non-binary people — and similar kinds of adjustments...

You can now open your own production factory in the city’s underbelly — and create your own product to sell in the city’s vending machines.

But the most interesting part? You can make other players addicted to your product by paying for in-game city ads!

They’ll have no choice but to rush to the nearest vending machine to get their precious Meowghurt — or face a penalty. A perfect way to seriously boost your sales!

To expand your apartments or factories, you now need to use the Rumbletron.
This machine, shared among all players, runs on methane gas — the same gas emitted by characters as they digest their sausages. You can collect it with the dedicated backpack. Since there’s only one machine and one shared methane supply for the entire city, everyone will have to cooperate on this one!

The ability to rob other players’ apartments! (or defecate on their carpet, if that’s really what you’re into...)
The Pôlice’s SPYFACE computer can now provide intel on any citizen!
New skins to unlock, such as the Cyborg and the Fem
New jobs: TV presenter, gas station clerk, and more
New concentrated substances to manipulate crowds: Affamine (Starvex), Diarheïne, etc.
The Fortune Teller has been reworked — and now actually helps you!
A slightly expanded map, better designed for navigating the city’s growth
A TV news flash summarizing the city’s state and highlighting the elites...
And much more!
On the technical side as well:
Fully redesigned graphics and UI
Tons of balancing, QoL improvements, and bug fixes!

Blêktre 2081 had the chance to be showcased at the Stunfest festival, held from February 24–26 in Rennes, France (the game’s hometown). It was a wonderful opportunity to let people try this new version — and it came with an incredible amount of love for this UFO of a game — or rather, this experience, praised for its originality and integrity.
I now have leads to develop a standalone solo version of the game, for those who’d like to enjoy the adventure in a more chill way with bots, without getting too harshly smoked by their fellow players.
Even more exciting — and likely to come first — is the possibility of offering private servers within a few months, especially with streamers in mind who’d like to host events with their communities, as well as anyone who’d like to play with friends, possibly with modded rules.
For now, I’m focusing on maintaining this fresh, expanded version — already well-tested, stable, and functional, but still worth fine-tuning here and there given its scope.
Feel free to contact me if you have feedback, find a bug, or even have an idea to improve your experience.
BISOSU!
Charles

Hello everyone, and welcome to our first official Steam Announcement!
First off, a massive thank you from everyone at Zeak Games. As a small indie studio from Chile, every single wishlist means the world to us. You’re here early, and we want you to be part of this journey. For our first update, we want to pull back the curtain and talk about the vision for Hoverise Rebellion—the why behind what we’re building.
We’re not just making another shooter. We're creating a Vehicular Hero Shooter built on three core pillars:
Mastery Though Movement Our philosophy is inspired by the high-speed, twitch-based feel of classic arena shooters like Unreal Tournament and Quake. We are obsessed with creating a movement system that feels incredible from moment one, but takes hundreds of hours to truly master. You will glide, dodge, and boost your way through combat. Your skill as a pilot, your ability to master the terrain and your vehicle, will matter just as much as your aim.
HoverTank Classes Each HoverTank is a class with powerful kit of abilities. Whether you want to be an aggressive flanker, a heavy frontline anchor, or a tactical support unit, there will be a HoverTank that matches your specific playstyle.
Explosive, Tactical Combat We're balancing the high-speed chaos with deep, tactical gameplay. It’s about using your abilities in combination with your teammates, managing your cooldowns, and knowing when to strike. We want every kill to feel earned and every team fight to be a spectacle of explosions and strategy.

To bring this vision to life, especially for a high-skill, online multiplayer game, our team is currently deep in development, building and refining the core systems that make all of this possible.
We are incredibly excited about the progress we're making and we can't wait to show you more gameplay, more HoverTank designs, and more of our world.
Your wishlist proves that you believe in this vision, too! We'll be using these Steam Announcements for our biggest updates, but if you want the daily, transparent "devlog" (including the bugs and the "WIP" moments), make sure to follow us on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram!
Thanks for being here.
Stay vigilant, — The Zeak Games Team

It's been a while since our last update, and TODAY we're making up for the wait with a thrilling new release!
We've added a brand-new Halloween-themed location: Spookyland! It's dark, eerie, and perfect for some cheesy mischief! The music for this location was crafted by T-STUDIO (みんなの創作支援サイトTスタ).
Alongside Spookyland, 5 new rats join Rat Run! Unlock them using a new in-game currency—pumpkins—found exclusively in Spookyland.
Rat Run now fully supports controller input! Here's how it works:
Move the cursor with one or both analog sticks (using both increases cursor speed).
Navigate shop sections with the D-pad.
Play using nearly any button on the controller!
Audio settings are now more flexible. Adjust the volume by repeatedly pressing the corresponding buttons.
Added screen resolution settings!
Added fullscreen toggle option!
A new camera zoom feature lets you zoom in or out! This works with resolutions supporting pixel-perfect scaling (e.g., 1080p, 4K, or 8K screens), letting you see more of Rat Run. Don’t worry about balance—rat positioning adjusts to match the new camera resolution, ensuring no unfair advantage.
We've switched to FMOD as the audio engine for Rat Run. This enables cool effects like speeding up music during gameplay and muffling it when paused. Thanks to FMOD, the game size is now just 48 MB (down from 101 MB), despite having more sounds and music tracks!
Three new leaderboards have been added, each for a specific rat type. Compete in your favorite category to become the best! The original leaderboard remains as the absolute category, showcasing the most skilled players.
Shop sections have been revamped for better visuals and a cleaner look.
Shops now feature a horizontal layout, scrollable with gamepad/keyboard buttons or the mouse.
Lowered prices to enhance the experience for players with limited time to grind.
Smashing multiple enemies in a row before landing is now more rewarding, with each subsequent enemy granting a higher score multiplier: 2x, 3x, 4x, and so on.
Improved cheese pools: Earn more brie and blue cheese coins as your score progresses.
Last-moment jumping: You now have 6 in-game frames to jump after stepping off a platform without losing the game.
Better control of normal rat jump height.

Fixed a bug where gaters could not be recruited if there was an empty team.

Version 0.8.1 is live! We keep polishing the gameplay to make everything run smoother.
A small update focused on stability — we’ve also fixed a bug with gamepad and touchscreen sensitivity settings.
