Some stories find their own way to be told.
Today — they begin to speak in Spanish.
From the very beginning, I knew that The Riese Project had to speak not only through visuals and sound, but also through language.
That the echo of these tunnels should be understood by anyone willing to step inside.
This update is not just a new localization.
It’s another step in refining the entire system that will soon allow the game to be available in more languages.
I’m working on a translation pipeline — for both text and voice-over — that’s automated and ready to expand into additional language versions.
In the background, optimization continues.
Each update brings improvements to performance, loading, and audio quality.
The entire game has migrated from Bink Audio to RAD Audio, resulting in cleaner sound without any loss of FPS.
We’re not adding new words.
We’re giving them new life — and a wider reach.
full Spanish localization (interface, subtitles, dialogues)
updated all voice-over tracks (PL / EN / ES)
migration to RAD Audio – cleaner sound with the same performance
further VR optimizations and performance improvements
The localization system I’m building will allow the game to quickly expand into new languages.
But I don’t want to make that choice alone.
You can help decide which language comes next.
Just leave a review in your own language — even a short one.
Based on the most common languages in reviews, I’ll choose the direction of the next translation.
It will be our way of letting the echo of Riese travel further — to where it’s truly heard.
Every comment, every review — is a signal in the tunnel.
And I’m listening.
🌑 The Riese Project – Prologue remains a prologue, but with each step it becomes a more complete chapter.
Your feedback — in every language — truly shapes this project.
Thank you for being here, and for returning to Riese.
As long as the echo answers, I’ll keep going.
	Hey everyone!
Chapter 08 is finally complete and ready for release🤩. This chapter is one of the climax points in our story and needed so many images and animations that I thought I'd never get it done. I'm so sorry it took this long, but hopefully you will enjoy it!❤️
I need to make the disclaimer that this chapter was really challenging to write, and I'm still not perfectly happy with it. Still, I thought it was best to let go for now, and come back later to revise. I'm doing my best to learn as much about writing as I can, but sometimes the process feels excruciatingly slow and challenging...😵
You can probably tell by my update speed, but life keeps getting in the way. This year has been a clusterfu*k of issues with health, kids, finances, etc. but I'm just trying to keep moving. We're getting closer to the end, but I don't want to lower quality and rush. Thank you so much for your support! I can't tell you how many times it has kept me going when the scope of this game overwhelms me.

We’ve noticed a recent increase in mod-related issues, including:
❌ Unstable mods that can corrupt game data or save files
❌ Suspicious or fake mods that may threaten your account security or privacy
To help you mod safely, we’ve put together this Mod Safety Tips.
Please take a moment to read through these tips — your game (and your ducks) will thank you!
✅ Verify the Source
Stick to trusted platforms like the Steam Workshop or well-known, reputable third-party mod sites.
Avoid unofficial or suspicious file-sharing websites with no clear reputation or moderation.
⚠ Beware of Paid Mods
Mods are meant to be freely shared by the community.
If a mod asks for payment, it’s very likely suspicious or scammy — do not download it.
High download counts and active user comments usually mean better quality and fewer risks.
Be cautious with obscure or rarely downloaded mods with little to no community feedback.
💬 Your fellow Ducklings’ reviews and ratings can be a great guide!
💾 Back Up Your Saves
Always back up your game save files before installing any mods.
This helps prevent permanent loss of progress if something goes wrong.
🦠 Scan Mod Files
If a mod requires extraction or installation outside the game, scan the files with antivirus software first.
This helps protect your system from malware or viruses disguised as mods.
📂 Know Where Your Mods Are Stored
Default Mod Folder Path:
\[Escape From Duckov Installation Directory]\\Duckov_Data\\Mods
For Steam Workshop Mods:
Go to Your Files → Subscribed Items → Click Unsubscribe to remove them completely.
Workshop Folder Path:
\[Steam Installation Directory]\\steamapps\\workshop\\content\\3167020
💾 How to Find a Mod’s Steam Page
Each Workshop mod folder has a numeric name — that’s its Steam Workshop ID.
To view the mod’s page: Copy the folder name (the ID number) and then Paste it into this link:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id= (Paste the ID at the end of the URL)
🧪 Test One Mod at a Time
Enable one mod at a time to easily spot conflicts or issues.
Installing too many mods at once can make it hard to identify which one is causing problems.
⚠ Watch Out for Malicious Mods
If you encounter a virus, scam, or suspicious file disguised as a mod, do not run it.
You can report the issue directly to us through official channels.
We’ll take quick action to protect the community from harmful content.
🦆 Need Help or Have Concerns?
Reach out to us on Discord or via our support email if you find anything suspicious.
We’re here to help keep your Duckov experience fun, safe, and mod-friendly!
Modding is a great way to personalize your Duckov experience — just make sure you’re doing it safely.

	Hello everyone, this is GamtuStudio.
This is our first development log, where we share the direction of the project and give you a glimpse of the world we’re building.
8Towers aims to be a game where the player’s choices and experiences become the story itself.
Rather than simply clearing stages, it’s about shaping the journey of a single person — your character.
At the start, you’ll be asked, “What kind of person are you?” and your answer will determine your starting stats and growth path.
You might become a warrior who protects those in danger, or a scholar who pursues hidden knowledge.
A core pillar of 8Towers is that skills aren’t just learned — they’re powers that require specific conditions.
Each skill has stat requirements, and many only activate when you’re wielding the right weapon.
For example, sword techniques require equipping a sword, while staff-based builds gather SP instead of performing regular attacks, creating a very different combat rhythm.
Skills can also combine to form new Titles.
Mastering both “Swordsmanship” and “Power Enhancement” can grant the “Swordsman” title, which meaningfully affects your abilities and growth.
In this way, your build choices naturally weave your character’s own story.
Battles take place on a tile-based field.
Positioning, distance, and attack type influence both accuracy and damage.
Closer engagements yield higher hit chances, while long-range strikes become less accurate.
This turns combat into a space of strategic decision-making, not just number trading.
We’re currently focused on level design and content expansion.
There’s a basic 30-minute playable build in place, and we’re steadily adding new areas and events.
With the core systems stabilizing, we’re moving deeper into building out the world.
By mid-November, our short-term goal is to stabilize core systems — combat, town features, and stat-linked mechanics.
Next, we’ll enrich the loop with town content and world events.
We also plan to integrate Steam Cloud and Achievements, tying key endings to achievements so players can reflect on their unique journeys.
Our current target is early 2026 for a complete release version of 8Towers.
The game is still in development, but the world is taking shape day by day.
We’ll keep sharing our progress; if you’re interested, please add 8Towers to your wishlist and follow our journey.
