E1M5 is now done, work on E1M6 has begun. E1M6 will be a boss fight level. After the completion of E1M6 only two more levels will be left, E1M7 and E1M8. Once the final boss of E1M8 is done I'm planning to do a detail pass on all existing levels, this will include small tweaks, added more secrets to levels, adding NPCS to secrets, making new props for the levels to give them more character and general polish. Even though i consider E1M5 done it needs a lot more work to make the combat encounters feel balanced and fun, as right now they are more of a unfair and brutal onslaught.
The Burning City has been removed from the demo for now. I'm really unhappy with the combat encounters and arena design in that level so I'm going to be giving it a soft overhaul. I also need to optimize the file size of the level as it is far larger than the other levels while lacking a lot of polish.
If you wish to give E1M5 a go, it is currently available in the play test version!
Added new enemy, the Wretch (The AI for this enemy is still a work in progress and may have issues)
Changed most of the combat encounters between E1M1 and E1M3
Added new small health pick up, this is dropped by enemies who have been headshot for had their weak point shot before death
