Step into the Church of the Divine Ministries, where the air is thick with candle smoke and whispers of betrayal, this Halloween. The throne sits empty, waiting for a soul brave enough to wear the cursed crown. Outside, masked minions beckon: “Follow the pumpkins.”

In this limited-time Halloween mission, players will:

• 🔍 Follow a trail of glowing pumpkins across the map

• 🧩 Solve riddles and uncover fragments of forgotten lore

• ⚔️ Face off against the undead + Mind Games with Imps

• 👑 Return to the throne to complete the ritual—and unlock a hidden reward which will be used in the future for something in game.

Bug Fixes

- Fix towers duration not scaling properly in 2x speed mode
- Fix unplaceable ghost-card issue when starting a wave while holding a tower. Towers now automatically return to their original grid position
- Fix an issue where the shop phase is skipped when reloading the game
- Fix “New” status on shop cards to check current run inventory instead of permanent discovery tracking.
- Fix remaining UI string issues due to the localization system
- Restore warning text on confirm new run modal (Regression from patch 1)
- Fixed some decorative environment pieces still having high mass values

Features

- Add middle mouse drag as alternative input for camera panning.
- Set all towers to fire immediately upon wave start (to reduce towers completely “missing” enemy waves)

Balance Changes

Levels
- Adjusted the timing of most early waves to have an increased duration (more spread out units)

Kinetic Tower
- Reduced pulse force by 25%
- Reduce projectile lifetime from 6 seconds to 5 seconds
- Reduced projectile mass from 10 to 6
- Lowered world-space positioning so that projectiles properly collide with scale level 4 units

Fan Tower
- Increased push force from 5 to 8

Known Issues

- Grow & Shrink Towers are behaving unexpectedly at the moment. Units become significantly larger and heavier than designed for, and are likely unkillable in some cases.
Broke Signal Badlands: A World of Desert Adventure - Deadhands Dan

A small update for Broke Signal Badlands has been released, with the following changes and updates:

  • A loading screen has been added to the main menu, when players choose the tutorial or start a new run.

  • We've attempted to address player's frustrations with running into landmark encounters and having it reappear - there is a 10 second window where the collision is hidden when a landmark encounter is completed (pass a diceroll). This should hopefully cut down on some incidents where players run into the same encounter over and over again when leaving it.

  • Fixed a bug with Shootouts where passing one shootout during a run would cause players to pass all shootouts after, even if they miss.

  • Fixed several enemies having larger hitboxes than their actual sprite during shootouts.

  • Shootout dodge window has been increased from 1 second to 3 seconds for enemies, giving players more time to take shots.

  • Shootouts have been shortened from 10 seconds to 7 seconds.

  • Gun dice have been changed to revolver cylinders. They are functionally identical, but aesthetically distinct.

  • Removed instances of "maxx" being used instead of "max" during the tutorial.

  • Added a note that text speed/image speed can be increased in options in the tutorial.

  • Added a note that the spacebar/A button can be double-tapped to skip through text faster.

  • Recontextualized a few generic journal entry options.

  • Moved information about Rerolls to display before rolling the dice during an encounter, helping players make better decisions about when to take a risky roll.

  • Added Patrons to the Credits menu

Here is a small update regarding the demo, fixing some issues and trying to make balancing a bit better!

Fixes
  • Crash when using "Recall" spell shortcut multiple times

  • Ant Queen (the big one) life not showing when hit

  • Crash when multiple bee targeting the same enemy would die

  • Parallel spawn can't go higher than maximum bee count

  • If controller is not recognized, consider it as XBox

Balancing
  • Bee life has been increased by 1

  • Enemy spawn duration and quantity has been increased between waves

Misc
  • Added a small feedback on terrain when hovering enemy spawn to show possible path

  • Bee idle speed has been reduced

Known but unresolved issues:

  1. This app forces fullscreen, which can cause Wallpaper Engine wallpapers to stop playing when the “pause when maximized” setting is enabled.

  2. Due to z-order/layering issues, some taskbar-transparency software may lose taskbar transparency.

  3. Enabling GPU acceleration in this software can cause severe stuttering.

  4. Background transparency can fail due to fullscreen optimizations.
    (Steam → gear icon at top-right → ManageBrowse local files → right-click game.exePropertiesCompatibility → check Disable fullscreen optimizations — this resolves most cases.)
