We’ve received a lot of valuable feedback from the community regarding missing content and areas that could be improved.
Rather than rushing out quick updates, we want to take the time to deliver a more complete experience.
Our current focus is on the 1.0 release scheduled for December, and development is progressing steadily toward that goal.

Support Rune Resource Display

  • Hovering over the Support Rune at the top right now shows the total amount of resources earned so far.

Targeted Attack Feature Added

  • You can now command your units to focus attacks on a specific area.

  • Hotkey: T

Batch Merge Feature Added

  • Units that can be merged will now automatically combine at once.

  • Hotkey: E

Boss Health Bar Improvement

  • During Epic Boss waves, a large boss health bar is now displayed at the top center of the screen.

Optimization

  • Reduced CPU load through performance optimization.

  • Improved monster textures for sharper visual quality.

  • Refined the card-follow behavior when dragging cards on the map

  • Updated the visual presentation of the in-map pause indicator

Fixes
  • Addressed an issue where the bag could be opened while "Bag Card Selection" was already active

  • Fixed a bug where area damage could still hit obstacles after they had been removed from the map

  • Fixed the "Show Paths" button not automatically turning off when exiting a map

The pause indicator has been redesigned. This new version should be cleaner and more intuitive.

We are excited to reveal a first look at the combat gameplay of Deception Engine.

Deception Engine builds upon and improves the combat system of Chrono Ark, while shifting closer to a roguelite RPG structure with permanent character progression — meaning that unlike the previous title, a single death does not send you back to the very beginning.

We are also pleased to announce that Gustavo Coutinho, who has composed for PAYDAY 2 and PAYDAY 3, will be joining the project as the composer for the official soundtrack.

Thank you so much for playing the demo during the Next Fest and leaving such detailed feedback! Over the past weeks, I’ve been focusing on addressing issues related to control feel, display logic, and several story progression bugs.

Here are the main updates in this patch 👇


🎮 Controls & Interaction
  • Click detection: Adjusted certain clickable areas — interactions below the center line should now respond properly.

  • Movement & footstep sync: Footstep timing is now synced with movement speed, making the character’s motion feel more grounded.

  • Running feel: Tweaked running animation and speed to reduce the previous “sticky / heavy” feeling. Movement should feel smoother now.

  • Chapter menu scrolling: Fixed an issue where sliding through the chapter list could accidentally trigger clicks. The scroll area transparency has been adjusted for smoother operation.


💬 Dialogue & Text
  • Dialogue display: Dialogue now appears all at once, avoiding the distracting text movement during generation.

  • Punctuation display: Updated the font — punctuation marks should now display correctly.

  • Text consistency: Fixed mismatches between in-game text and images in certain scenes.

● Seasonal upgrades added - complete Seasonal tasks to earn Seasonal points, spend them to make the next Season easier!

● Each completed Season task gives a temporary GpS boost to the main game. Resets once the next Season starts

● More dying compatibility added (use up to 4 different dyes to customize your heroes!)

● Away income has been boosted, now it takes into account all of the Pet abilities and average bonuses from Fireflies, previously it did not

Change log:

  • The damage from Blood Magic will no longer put you in a strange state of being alive yet at 0 HP. (Blood Magic damage is meant to always leave you with at least 1 HP, even if you already have 1 HP when using a Blood Magic spell.)

  • The Rat and Sister Jeanne can now show up in the Workshop even if you’ve chosen the Offering ending.

  • Spells using Ignition no longer get stacked with similar Spells that don’t have Ignition.
