Itâs been a very eventful month: new in-game tools have been released and a global server merge took place â letâs go through everything step by step! Here we go!
At the beginning of October, we added the Handbook to the game and expanded the Party Finder features.
First of all, we want to express our huge thanks to all players who have helped and continue to help clarify information in the Handbook, regularly contributing fresh materials to the service. Secondly, we believe that having access to information directly in the game will help newcomers find answers to their questions more quickly. Leave a comment if youâve already tried out the Handbook and have your own opinion to share.
Party Finder is a feature created to make it easier to find partners and parties for any gaming interests. We carefully monitored your feedback about the basic matchmaking and eagerly prepared the expanded version, which now helps hundreds of parties gather every day.
One of the key events in October was the global server merge. Starting October 14, the game worlds are represented by the Russian-speaking Fenix and Helios servers and the multilingual Solus server. These mergers are a consistent step toward building a denser, more interactive community, where both new and seasoned players can more easily find company and activities that interest them.
Your feedback plays one of the most important roles in the game's development. Thanks to your well-reasoned input, we revised our server merge plan and combined Pyros/Ignis and Solus/Astus in this particular configuration.
We also improved the server backend and changed the Castle Siege schedule to make them more comfortable for the majority of users online.
The technical support, community manager and developer teams continue to work on not only improving support quality but also implementing additional automated systems to combat bots and unfair players.
Thank you so much for reporting violations and helping us keep the game fair for everyone. A reminder: you can report violations and suspicious activity to the Support Team or via email at
support@baseplatform.online. Every report is carefully reviewed.
We plan to complete our evaluation of the new service versionâs effectiveness by the end of October. We hope that with these updates, honest players will find the game even more enjoyable!
At the end of September, we revamped the Creator Program, making it more flexible, convenient and comfortable for content creators dedicated to our beloved game. We hope more talented creators will join us, more community content will be released, and the gameâs popularity will continue to grow. Join us!
For those who love getting great deals, weâve prepared an updated list of Marketplace items. Thanks to your activity, Royal Quest Online continues to hold 6th place on the Steam Marketplace product list. Impressive!
Cardiganâs Mystery has ended, and this year you really went above and beyond in this event! In the Minotaurâs Labyrinth alone, you managed to open almost 2.5 million Soul Vaults!
But thatâs not all: whispers of strange occurrences are growing more frequent in the taverns, and mysterious sounds echo from the forests at night. Something eerie seems to be approaching, which means there are so many adventures ahead that thereâll be digging for days and days!
Nevertheless, despite all the city tales, merchants from all over Elenia are continuing to gather in Varlone. It looks like in a few weeks, theyâll flood the entire capital!
That wraps up todayâs issue of the Royal Chronicles. Share your thoughts and ask questions in the comments.
See you in Royal Quest!
The time has come for a major and important update. We have completely overhauled the gameâthis isn't just a patch, it's practically a rebirth of the project. After analyzing your feedback, we realized we wanted to steer towards a more strategic and deep roguelike experience. As a result, we've conducted a massive refactoring that touched the very core of the gameplay.
The previous version of the game was more chaotic. We wanted to give you more control over creating unique builds and shift the focus from instant reactions to thoughtful strategy. Your success now depends not just on reflexes, but also on the decisions you make between floors.
Runes This is a brand-new mechanic that allows for deep combinatorics in character buffs. How it works now: At the end of each floor, you choose a new rune that grants a permanent bonus (e.g., Attack, Health, Armor, Speed, Spell Power, Crit Chance). The real depth comes from runes empowering each other when placed adjacent to one another on the grid. This makes you think carefully about how to arrange your runes to maximize their benefits.
New Map and Level Structure The old map was linear. We've completely redesigned it, it's now more akin to distinct rooms, each with its own encounters.
Daggers and Hammer To allow the rune system to truly shine, we needed a clear and balanced foundation. We've replaced the old arsenal with two polar-opposite weapon types, each defining your playstyle:
Daggers: For those who love speed, rapid attacks, and mobility.
Hammer: For those who believe in a single, crushing blow. This crucial choice from the very first second forces you to immediately define your tactics and pick runes that complement them.
Meet the Brute and the Coven Witches! These new enemies were created specifically to test the durability of your new strategic builds. They will force you to rethink your rune configurations.
In essence, you are getting not just an update, but practically a whole new game. It's more complex, engaging, and rewarding. We've returned to the roots of the roguelike genre, where every decision carries weight.
This is the most important step in our project's development, and your feedback is crucial to us. Please try out the new combinations, find the most powerful ones, and share your thoughts in the discussions!
Thank you for staying with us. There's a lot more exciting content to come!
