First release of the DEMO today !
This demo is here to give you a taste of the game's basic mechanics.

It focuses on the design aspect of engines and vehicles as well as research and allows you to test the game's progress over the first 10 years (about 45min to 1hour of play).

The main purpose of this demo is to hear your suggestions regarding the basic mechanics and to fix any bugs you may find. I've done my best, but there are bound to be some!

I would like to point out that I am developing this game on my own. I will do my best to update it as regularly as possible, but please be patient and understanding—this is my first game and I am not a professional.

That's why your opinion and suggestions are important!

Colony Survival - Pipliznl

Update 0.15 is available for a public test right now! The core new feature is the top-down perspective. Unlock the Overseer’s Desk in the tech tree, place it in your colony, and click on it to switch to this perspective.

From the top-down view, you get access to the new Blueprints feature. There is a “Scanner” which allows you to select and save parts of your world. Right next to it is a “Placer” that opens a list of all saved blueprints that you can place back into your colony. A placed blueprint will start a construction project, and you need to assign construction workers to build the project.

Blueprints can also be exported to codes, or imported from them. This allows you to easily share buildings between worlds, with friends or with strangers.

To help navigate indoor and underground spaces from this new perspective, we’ve also added X-Ray vision as a toggleable option. When activated, it will make everything above the height of the Overseer’s Desk invisible. But it also comes with buttons that allow you to increase or decrease the height of this “slice”.

Like the mill we added last year, the Overseer’s Desk is a lot larger than one voxel. We like the consequences of that size, both visually and in terms of gameplay. So we’ve redesigned a bunch of meshes with this new philosophy. The merchant hub, grocery store, tool shop and sacred failsafe were all tiny and bland. They are now much larger and more lively and unique. This will not affect these blocks when they are pre-existing in your world, but each one placed while playing 0.15 will have the new shape.

That’s not the only visual change! The paint system has been expanded. Pillars, architraves, fences and planks are now all paintable. The berry bush switched from a textured voxel to a 3D mesh. Wheat and barley have new meshes. And last but not least: plaster has made it back into the game!

All these features should be working. The main things that are lacking are translations and controller support. But of course, we can’t test the blueprints and the X-Ray vision in all circumstances. And that’s why we need you! Have fun trying out all the new features of 0.15, and if you notice anything weird, let us know. We’ll be monitoring all channels, but Discord and the comments under this blog get checked most frequently. And apart from bug reports, general feedback about the update is also appreciated!

To get access to the beta:
- Right-click Colony Survival in your Steam Library, choose “Properties”
- Go the “Betas” tab, enter the code pleaseshareyourfeedback
- Select the 0.15.0 branch

The game will show the version number in the bottom-right corner in the main menu.

Have fun, and pleaseshareyourfeedback :D

Youtubers Life 3 - Stream Together! - jaume.noguera
Hey Youtubers! 👋

This week we continue our devlog series where we’re sharing all the improvements coming to the final version of Youtubers Life 3 - Stream Together!. This time, we’re focusing on the changes we’re making to enhance the recording system and add new features to make it more realistic, dynamic, and fun.

💡 Inspiration as a Resource
Inspiration 💡 has always been a resource meant to reflect your creative energy as a youtuber — that spark you need to record videos. Until now, it was only used in the recording minigame, which made it feel a bit simple and disconnected from the rest of the game.

We wanted to strengthen the “Life” aspect that gives the game its name, so we’ve turned inspiration into a cross-cutting resource, influenced —just like in real life— by the balance between work and leisure. From now on, inspiration will have its own dedicated space on the HUD:

Inspiration will be consumed when recording videos, and before recording again you’ll need to recover it by taking part in leisure activities or attending events. These activities will be marked with the inspiration icon so you can easily identify them:

Don’t worry — we’ve put a lot of care into balancing this system. Gaining inspiration will be simple and almost seamless. With a full bar, you’ll be able to record several videos in a row, and as you level up, your maximum inspiration capacity will increase.

🌟 Final Round
When all your inspiration bulbs are filled, you’ll enter a “super inspired” state ✨. For a few minutes, you’ll have access to a final round in the recording minigame, where—with a bit of luck—you might push your video to reach 5-star quality.

⚠️ Strikes
Up until now, channel “strikes” acted as a penalty for uploading copyrighted content. However, the system didn’t quite work: usually, you could just pay a small fine and keep recording, which wasn’t very engaging.

In the new version, fines are gone. If you receive a strike, you’ll need to wait a real-time cooldown for it to expire. There’s no other (legal 😏) way to remove it.

But be careful — this mechanic now ties in with karma:
  • If your channel has bad karma, being controversial because of strikes can actually benefit you: your videos will get more visibility… though you’ll earn less from monetization.
  • If you collect 3 strikes, NewTube will temporarily ban you: you won’t be able to upload videos for a while.
And yes… we said there’s no legal way to remove them. Maybe there’s another one, but you’ll have to discover it by playing. 😉

📈 Viral Videos and Bonuses
Videos you record can now receive bonuses depending on how well you perform during recording. We’ll share more details in future posts, but there’s one bonus you’ll love: “virality.”

Virality gives your video a small chance to go viral the moment you publish it, skyrocketing its stats and completely changing your channel’s performance.

🖼️ Thumbnail Ratings
Thumbnail editing was one of the new features in Youtubers Life 3, but the scoring system made players focus only on getting the best rating rather than being creative. That wasn’t our original intention — we wanted it to be a creative and expressive tool.

That’s why, in this new version, we’ve separated thumbnail creation from visibility scoring.
  • The thumbnail design process will remain similar, but now titles will be generated more coherently with the video’s content.
  • The clickbait system has also been adjusted.
  • Plus, we’ve added tags you can select to boost your video’s visibility. If you choose the right tags—those matching your video’s topic—you’ll get a better visibility score. Over time, you’ll learn which tags work best for your content style.

And that’s it for this week’s devlog 🎬. We hope you enjoy these updates and let us know what you think in the comments. See you next week with more details about the new mechanics coming to Youtubers Life 3 - Stream Together!

Thanks for staying with us! ❤️

Slaughter Horse 2 - Catfood McFly

Hello! Here is the promised Friday update. Still plenty of work to do, but reports seem to indicate the game is much more stable (!) now. So here's what's new.

FEATURE: There is now a Steam Workshop for SH2, where you can upload and subscribe to other player's ponies. ** THIS IS STILL UNDER TESTING! ** Packs you subscribe to should appear in your Documents>slaughterHorse2>Workshop folder to import via the QR loader on the Custom Pony screen. To upload your own QR code ponies, in the "Steam>steamapps>common>Slaughter Horse 2>SteamWorkshopUploader" folder is the app to submit packs to the workshop. Let me know how you get on!

As of now, it's single QR code ponies only - not whole sets, although you can put more than one QR pony in a workshop pack. I'll take a look at that later.

BUGFIX: Bug where you could murder a pony who was already dead.

BUGFIX: Options button no longer shows up on update bulletin.

BUGFIX: Pet names should now be remembered correctly, as is your chosen pony set and town name.

BUGFIX: If you send your pet to raid the crematorium and they find it empty, you can now exit without being trapped in there.

BUGFIX: A visit from the Preacher now blocks you correctly.

GAMEPLAY: You should now not find yourself being constantly hanged when there is generally low suspicion in the town unless you are in fact more suspicious or insane than anyone else.

FEATURE: If you click on a fanart poster in the kitchen, you now get a better look at it.

GRAPHICS: Full Investigation particles restored.

GRAPHICS: When your pet raids the crematorium, you now see a third-person view of them.

GRAPHICS: A little glow-up for the Night Mare.

MUSIC: Night Mare's loop changed to something more sinster and less elevator music.

*KNOWN ISSUES*

Currently, the Magician can spawn as a race other than Unicorn and the Noble too.

The Magician does not yet attack you, as I have yet to fathom out how this is going to work!

Cakes need work.

Torture works, but is unfinished.

R.E.P.O. - semiwork
Hey hey semibots!
Today’s video introduces the very first and important introduction of a HUMAN SURVIVOR, together with the final Q&A before THE MONSTER UPDATE launches next week on October 30th!

For those of you who’d like to read instead of watching the video, here are some important key questions:

Q: Which monster was the hardest to make?
A: This is kind of hard to answer. They all have their own challenges and things to solve.

Q: Will skins be added in this update?
A: Not in this update, but we are looking into it.

Q: Do you intend to put boss monsters in the game? Special monsters that appear every X levels.
A: Yes there has been talks about boss monsters, but nothing is set in stone.

Q: Will any monsters have special interactions with items or things that only the player can use?
A: Depending on what this question means, one of the upcoming monsters can interact with items in a way. So yes and no.

Q: What is your favorite monster in R.E.P.O.?
A: The majority of the people at Semiwork would say Headman, he was the first monster created, being in the game back when the R.E.P.O. project was known as “Clean”.

Q: Will older monsters get new updated abilities, like the Huntsman saying things to make players laugh.
A: We have no plans on changing the original monsters, they’re good as they are.

Q: Will you add cosmetics for monsters?
A: We haven’t thought about it, but it sounds like fun! So maybe.

Q: How do you make the sounds and voices for the monsters?
A: Robin is responsible for all sounds in the game. People in the office or friends sometimes make voices and then Robin tinkers with his sound magic.

Q: Will there be different monster variations, like a snow model for them in McJannek Station?
A: That would be really fun to do. We will put it on our very long “fun-to-do list”.

Q: Will you add equipment or upgrades that can only found on levels (not buyable in shop)
A: This is another one of those “would be fun to do”. This is a maybe, for now!

Q: Will there be new semibot expressions?
A: No, not in this update.

Bye bye!
