We’ve carefully listened to your feedback and are rolling out a series of optimizations and expansions to the game.
Here are the highlights of this update:
We’ve revamped the Reputation System—now, your reputation grants powerful buffs to help you run your inn more effectively. Additionally, we’ve adjusted the in-game economy for a smoother, more strategic experience.
To keep every playthrough fresh, we’ve added tons of new random events, including exclusive events for the Sea Guild and Mountain Guild! Each facility also now has its own unique happenings, adding more surprises to your shady business operations.
Furthermore, as you progress through the stages, you can directly trigger black market events and volunteer work events. You can earn money while accepting the penalty of arousing suspicion, or you could buy trust with money!
Additionally, there have been slight changes to the way penalties are applied for frequent combat. You must now be mindful of situations where unfavourable rumours could arise simultaneously in both cities.
First off, thank you for all your feedback since Endless Mode launched! Based on your suggestions, we’re making major changes to enhance replayability:
Themed Weekly Challenges - Endless Mode consists of 10 stages with one theme. Your final rank will be determined by your overall progress across all 10 weeks. Test your long-term planning skills!
Expanded Weekly Rewards - After each week, you can choose from a rotating pool of rewards, including skill upgrades, character tokens, and new facilities! We hope the newly added Re-Roll feature helps you select your desired rewards. Furthermore, provided you have sufficient tokens, you can purchase all rewards across the three slots each week!
The Wisp's Suggestions - When starting Endless Mode, you'll only have access to the basic Inn installations - as known as skills -. As you progress, the Wisp will suggest ‘Special Actions for Main Characters’. You'll have 4 opportunities over 10 weeks, and it's up to you to decide the order in which to use these special actions!

Bonfires now serve as full rest hubs., making exploration, crafting, and leveling seamless and rewarding.
Skill Tree System: Unlock and upgrade abilities as you level
Cooking & Brewing: Combine ingredients from enemies or shops to craft healing items and buffs
Item Storage: Deposit and withdraw crafting ingredients at chests
Gold Storage: Manage your funds in item shops vaults., deposit, withdraw, and check balances
Combat Tweaks: Enemy health and scaling adjusted with enemy level and a difficulty slider
Optimized menus and smoother navigation
Fixed bugs in dialogue triggers and fast-travel points
Minor map touch-ups and collision fixes
💡 Demo Players:
The Demo Build now includes a limited updated Bonfire System and Chapters 1–2.
Fixed a problem that caused some text in TIPS to disappear.

My name is Artem, the developer behind Tales In Text.
First, it's a great day, I am very happy to finally announce this very unusual mix of genres game. And I would like to start with thanking everybody for checking out and wishlisting Tales In Text: Multiplayer Immersive Adventures.
You probably also already read a description on Steam, so I won't bother you by repeating it here. Instead, I would like to be very open about this project, share the motivation behind it, the roadmap and timing, and how you can help the project.
Tales In Text is very much an experimental game genre as well as a passion project. I always had a hidden desire to tell stories, but in a way that gives the reader/player freedom. Love working on audio, and I wanted to have a way to enjoy a text-based story with a close friend (however, solo is equally an interesting experience). Well, that's how Tales In Text was born.

Planned release window: November 2025.
Stories at launch: Song of the Deep Trench
S.I.T.E. stories will follow right after the release (included with the game)
Other creators: by invitation only, stories will be distributed in the form of DLC, so authors will have a space and an incentive to create and share their work
Randomization, character stats and skills will be coming as part of the future versions

FYI: AI voice disclosure
One story uses an AI-generated narrator voice trained on a real narrator; as well as the trailer, I would like to apologize in advance. This year, I am in a bit of financial rock bottom, can't afford a good narrator, and my vocal narration skills would be better off staying hidden, but hopefully the current voices are not too annoying.
