My Colony v2.3.0 is now live, and you should be able to update your client in Steam right now. Along with the standard bug fixes and dependency updates, this release includes a significant change in which the game is packaged.

Previously, My Colony on Steam was released with the bare minimum shell of it's game data, and would automatically download all of the latest game files when launched. I have decided now that I would start packaging the entire game content bundle with each release. This way if I end up getting hit by a car or all of my servers go down, future players will still be able to download and enjoy My Colony long after I'm gone.

We're pleased to announce that the next update will be released at the beginning of December! In it you can continue the main storyline and go up against the next member of the Fellowship: Kyroh of the Eventide.
Seven new maps to explore have been added, with over twenty new NPCs. Discover what hides behind the cave at the beach, lose yourself in the new forest area, and find out who lives at the top of the mountain.

In these areas you'll meet characters who will aid you in this new adventure. As well as playing a role in the main storyline, many of them will have their own questlines in the future, in which you'll be able to get to know them better and progress your relationship with them.

As a member of the Fellowship, Kyroh will make for a formidable opponent. To defeat him, you'll have to hone your skills through various quests and outlandish trials.
Arm yourself with courage and ready yourselves for the challenge!

The new update will include a way of replaying the various challenges, both the secondary ones and the main encounters against members of the Fellowship. Compete against yourself or your friends to obtain the highest scores you can!
We're currently focused on implementing the main storyline and planned remaining systems. In order to not slow down the pace of updates of what we consider priorities, we've decided to forego seasonal updates such as Halloween.
In future, these seasonal events will be integrated to activate according to the in-game calendar, and will have a lot more depth to them. But for now, we hope you understand our desire to continue working towards filling out the world and characters of the game first.

We were very busy during this time, but we're back with some new level editor toys, QoL updates for the User Level Browser, and a new 'zombie' Mylo Skin!
Do you still remember the classic Mylo from the 1991? He's back in his "zombie" colors! During the festive October event, you can play as 'Zombie Mylo'. You can toggle the skin with festive setting but we are also adding a skin selection setting to the game soon so you can toggle between skins without changing the festive setting.

We cleared a few bugs in the browser, which made the overall navigation more efficient and faster - no more endless "Loading maps" statuses.
If the map is downloaded but you're not subscribed to it, you won't have to press the "play" button twice anymore.
