The wait is over, put your textbooks aside and grab your tasers! At last, you can help Amy uncover the campus-wide conspiracy on October 30th starting at 1 PM UTC/GMT and 6 AM PDT!
Our PS1-style survival horror experience will launch simultaneously on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch!
BTW don't worry that the Steam release date field shows just the year 2025. It's just a technical issue.
The game will launch next week :)

Cute Spooks & Pineapple Works
Welcome back embers! As in the name quickfire we've got two quick updates for y'all! Today we'll be taking a closer look at Loens house interior and then revealing why we had to change our beach scene. Personally I like it better but what do you think?
Hello! I was going to hold off until Friday for the next update, but I think this build fixes some issues so fundamental it can't really wait.
There are still many bugs on the list, thank you to all who submitted them via the in-game bug report (it does actually work!) and I will be addressing bugs in the game rather than bugs that BREAK the game more - I hope,
There's even some new fun stuff. Here be a list.
(PS: There will still be another update this Friday)
=Catfood=
VISUAL: The AGK particle pack plugin looked nice, but was causing endless issues for users, added a lot of weight to the game, ate memory and caused slowdown so it has been now been removed entirely. I'll be replacing them over time with the in-app particle system which doesn't cause such issues.
VISUAL: Snow on town screen reworked. Much less demanding.
FEATURE: You can now make Bat ponies, via the ALT button on the custom pony maker. This is purely cosmetic - their race will still be considered Earth/Unicorn/Pegi in game.
ALTERATION: You don't have to be quite so close to the drink machine to activate it.
MAPFIX: Fixed the wedge point between the burger stand and oat stall, floating trees next to crematorium now grounded.
BUGFIX: The Hayseed tail on the custom pony maker is now restored.
BUGFIX: Attempted to fix a bug where the sound would stop completely. Works on my tests, but let me know if it still crops up for you.
BUGFIX: The title music should now definitely stop when you start the game!
BUGFIX: Fixed an issue where the shader plugin would endlessly create unused images, gobbling the memory and causing slowdown after a while playing.
BUGFIX: If the thaw arrives, the game will now end correctly. And it ain't good for you!
GRAPHICS: A few small additions and alterations.

Hey everyone,
First, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Rise of the Village Hero - whether by playing the demo, buying and wishlisting, or leaving feedback. Your encouragement has meant a lot and keeps me going as a solo developer, all the way from early access to 1.0 release.
I also wanted to share some news about my next project, Tiny Terra Spaces, which is now available to wishlist on Steam!
I’m continuously working on new assets inspired by historical medieval Scotland, and things are progressing well. Being a solo developer means it takes a bit longer - I handle everything from coding and design to art and assets - but I’m really proud of how it’s all coming together.
If you enjoy cosy builder games where you can create your own medieval Scottish island, populate it, and build a small community while enjoying a calm and peaceful atmosphere, then Tiny Terra Spaces might be the game for you.
The game will feature two main modes:
Hop Island Mode: Start on one island and travel across different Scottish islands.
Sandbox Mode: Build your island completely from scratch or choose between two pre-made sandbox maps.
To set expectations, Tiny Terra Spaces isn’t a deep city builder with tech trees or complex systems. It’s a relaxing, cosy island-building experience - perfect for jumping in and out at your own pace, listening to calming music, and watching your little world grow.
If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, please consider adding the game to your wishlist. It really helps and makes a big difference for solo developers like me.
I’ll keep posting updates over there on my game page as development continues, so please stay tuned - and thank you again for supporting Rise of the Village Hero and for checking out my next project.

Fixed Bug where you could not use mouse wheel as input
Fixed crash referencing the grapple hook
That's it for today, sorry for the double update - but they should be small. Have fun :)

I can't believe it - Pathogenic just hit 10,000 parasites, uh I mean wishlists (11,226 as of writing to be exact!).
9500 in the last month alone as playtests kicked off!
Don't worry, you'll be able to play yourself soon - the Pathogenic demo launches October 31st!
Thank you so much for the support everyone, we're just a two person team so every wishlist really counts to help make the game something special!
Reckon we can make it to 100,000 next?
We can't share everyone's videos but I just wanted to take a moment to share three recent videos from content creators that have really helped us out :)
