Started in 1994, the cult classic Avernum series is one of the great video game sagas. On Wednesday, October 22, Spiderweb Software returns to this unique underworld nation with Avernum 4: Greed and Glory! Coming for Windows and Mac.
Join us at 4 PM PST on release day on the game's Steam page. There, you can see our first (of 2) livestream by the developer, a grumpy indie developer veteran who has been making his odd, low-budget, fun adventures for 31 (!) years. Enjoy learning about the decades-old Avernum series and the indie games business from a fun old crank.
In this new, epic fantasy role-playing adventure, you explore and save (or betray?) an enormous underworld nation. Battle through huge dungeons, fight unique and cunning foes, collect, create, and bless hundreds of different artifacts, and enjoy a really cool story.
Avernum is a nation deep underground, full of huge caves, treacherous labyrinths, and fairylands of alien fungi. Once a prison, it has won its freedom and is now reaching for wealth and glory. However, old enemies from the deepest caves envy Avernum's growing power. You will have to fight to save this new, fragile land (or be well paid to betray it).
You can see an Avernum 4 trailer, screenshots, and plenty of information on our web site or on our Steam page. Available for sale on October 22nd!

Hello everyone,
This is Ziegler Studio.
First of all, thank you so much to everyone who played BACKROOMS: We Escape Forever and shared feedback with us.
Your reviews and suggestions have helped us learn and grow a lot as developers.
Right now, we’re finishing up our new project, Lunathren,
which is planned to release as early as this month.
After Lunathren’s launch, we’ll begin working on a remake and major update for BACKROOMS.
This upcoming version will include:
Overall graphics and performance improvements
Reworked environments and sound design
New content inspired by player feedback
BACKROOMS will continue to receive updates over time.
We’re always reading your feedback carefully, and it means a lot to us.
Please don’t worry the game is still evolving, and this journey isn’t over yet.
Thank you for your continued support.

Tailors,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to play Tailor Simulator and share your feedback. Throughout Steam Next Fest, your support gave our wishlist growth strong momentum. With your help, we’ll keep that rise going. The interest you’ve shown in the game’s unique concept and the contributions of content creators who featured it have multiplied our motivation. Endless thanks to you all.

We review improvement and new feature suggestions from the community one by one, and we’ve already implemented many of them in the demo and will continue doing so. Most of the larger additions will arrive with the Early Access version. Our livestreams will continue uninterrupted for a while longer. Afterwards, we’ll switch to a regular weekly “developer stream” to share progress.
Lastly, we’ll share the release date and roadmap very soon in a separate announcement. We’re finalizing the details right now. We’ll present all our plans with a single announcement. Stay tuned, and don’t forget to add the game to your wishlist.

Hey everyone!
We've left an incredible Next Fest behind us, a huge thanks for all your support! The fact that 86% of players who tried the demo wishlisted the game is the biggest proof that we're on the right track. This is just the beginning!
So, what's next? Here's a quick summary of what's coming with Early Access:
New Agent Ability: Placeable 'OIIA' Killer Detectors.
New Killer Ability: Create a copy of yourself (Decoy NPC) to trick Agents.
2 New Maps: An indoor map and a night map, featuring teleporters, jumpscares, and lots of easter eggs.
Round System: Best of 1, 3, or 5 round matches where teams swap sides.
Text Chat: A must-have for strategy (or betrayal).
All this and more is coming to Early Access in the early months of 2026!
