Steam Next Fest is over, and we wanted to thank everyone who played the demo, shared feedback or left a review. It has been a lot of fun watching people try to escape the first part of the Store, whether they succeeded or not! We improved the beginning of the game and are squashing bugs thanks to all of your feedback. Now, we're ready to move on to the next chapter...
We wanted to give you more information about what to expect in this Early Access, since we got a lot of questions about what the final game will be like.

Storebound as a full game will be built around several episodes that form a bigger story. We already have a clear vision for the full narrative and each episode, but we need help from the community to make the best game possible. Early Access lets us share content early, gather feedback, and improve the current and following content as new episodes are added.
This is even more important for a game like Storebound, as making engaging narratives, puzzles, and challenges requires lots of iterations and feedback.
Storebound is a game where you have to explore, work together with your friends, and solve environmental puzzles to escape while under the threat of monsters and traps. We have spent a lot of time crafting linear levels within the Store that are challenging to figure out and will put your team to the test. The three difficulty modes will allow you to set the amount of tension you want to get, and to replay the game with more challenges.
It represents an average game time of 2 hours, depending on the difficulty you select, and on how quickly you’ll manage to solve the puzzles. Episode 1 is the same part that was playable in the demo.
The next episodes will explore multiple timelines, following different groups of characters finding themselves in the Store for different reasons.

We want to ensure our early supporters get a fair deal: you are paying for the content you can play right now, and not for future updates. As a result, the base price for the game when early access starts will be below $10. We’ve also planned a launch discount which will run over the first week to celebrate the launch!
Then the price of the game will increase as we add more content, but we’ll always give you a heads-up before any change.
New Features
Field of View Slider — You can now adjust your FOV to balance immersion and visibility.
Pixel Filter Toggle — Choose whether to enable or disable the retro pixel filter to match your visual preferences.
Voice Volume Controls — Adjust the individual voice volume of each teammate.
Lobby Management — You can now kick players from your lobby if needed.
Tutorial Improvements
Refined the tutorial for a smoother onboarding experience and clearer explanations of key mechanics.
We want to give you a heads-up that we will disable the demo when Early Access starts. This is your last chance to beat the current speedrun record (you can ask for the current time on our Discord)!
After Episode 1 and Episode 2 launch on November 17th, the next pair of episodes are planned for next year. Their content might change depending on the feedback we get from Episodes 1 & 2, so your feedback and reviews are important.
Finally, if you want to make content for Storebound, we’ve set up a form so that we can easily reach you. Just click the button below!

📘 Discover why Texas Instruments France and the IREM of Lyon support our mission to make mathematics fun and accessible to all
We’ve prepared a solution guide dedicated to the demo of Néro & Sci ∫ Integral Edition.
It’s available in French, English, and Japanese, with Chinese, Korean, German, and Spanish translations coming soon. https://souris-lab.com/guides
This week, we also released the first free demo of our educational spin-off,
Néro & Sci: Education, supported by Texas Instruments France, the IREM of Lyon, and the French Ministry of Education.
As the director of the IREM of Lyon puts it:
“Néro & Sci intelligently demystifies mathematics.”
That’s exactly what you can experience in this new demo.
Our Néro & Sci: Education concept also won over Texas Instruments France,
who believed in our vision and now support us in adapting the gameplay of Néro & Sci ∫ Integral Edition for classroom use.
Thanks to them, we’re offering a free demo to over 750,000 students and teachers on their maclasseti.fr platform.
“When Souris-Lab presented the concept of Néro & Sci: Integral Edition and its ambition to adapt it for classroom use,
we immediately saw the project’s potential.
The poetic universe and the richness of its gameplay offer a unique way to rediscover mathematics through play.
Their collaboration with the IREM of Lyon, the scientific rigor they bring, and the integration of engaging tutorials around our graphing calculators completely convinced us.
This partnership combines the pedagogical expertise of the IREM of Lyon’s teacher-researchers,
the technological know-how of Texas Instruments, and the creativity of Souris-Lab.
By welcoming Néro & Sci: Education on maclasseti.fr,
we’re offering over 750,000 students and teachers a new way to learn — playful, accessible, and connected to our tools.
The recent institutional support through the Edu Up program of the French Ministry of Education further reinforces the credibility and reach of this ambitious project serving education.”
