🔒 Engine & Security Updates

  • We’ve integrated the latest security fixes from Unity Editor as detailed in their Security Update Advisory (see: Unity Security – Sept 2025 01).

  • This addresses a high-severity vulnerability (CVE-2025-59489) that could allow local code execution or information disclosure in affected builds.

💻 Platform Availability

  • This update (v0.6.5) is currently available for Windows.

  • Mac and Linux versions are planned and will come in a future update.

Hello Darkwatch agents! We've been working hard on updating the Demo and getting rid of some pesky bugs you have been reporting complete with some balance tuning, enjoy!

AI:

-Increased the Critical hit visibility
-Chest Critical Hit spot denies Hunter Vampiric Dash ability
-Intro Hunter can no longer attack the player as they finish loading the level (Laboratory)
-Hunters now play warning animation and sound after successful Vampiric dash
-Added a surprise
-Added Tenta Anims, sounds, attack trace logic to fix their ability to hit the player through surfaces
-Added Tenta retreat on player distance

UI:
-Added Knife Melee Information to UI
-Added 'Ammo' Text to Ammo Ven
-Escape Input Key Can now Exit UI interactions
-HUD auto hides inside of UI interactions where it is not needed
-Prevented tooltip from moving the Engine Version number

Weapons:
-Removed UV light Haptics
-Reduced shot delay after a reload
-Fixed Melee + Reload bug that gave the player free ammo :(
-Stopped Melee from launching Paired takedown AI
-Fixed Shotguns ability to break breakable crates
-Rebalancing of Ammo min/max per ammo box

-Reduced Crouch FootStep SFX

-Added ADS and Fire Trigger Detection Holds for auto return to aim and firing when sprint ends and weapon swapping

Game difficulty / balance changes based on feedback:
  • Make Konbini's health bar deplete more slowly. Also just to note if you do get sent back to the main menu you don't have to start a new game. Press Konbini where it says "Play" to continue.

  • Kaiten Sushi seats now have dynamic prices that start low and increase with the more seats you have unlocked.

  • Vending machine spots now also have dynamic prices so that they start really cheap and get more expensive as you add more machines.

Visual improvement:
  • New ingredients health bar for Kaiten Sushi management game

Bug fixes:
  • Fixed a bug where opening ramune bottles would send your button press through to the inventory viewer in the background which caused keyboard / controller glyphs to show on screen when they shouldn't and would cause weird behavior if you have multiple bottles

  • Fix collection status progress bar alignment

  • Improved input help glyphs displaying based on keyboard or controller being used. There is still more work to do but this update fixes a few areas where keyboard glyphs or incorrect help text were shown even with a controller plugged in.

  • Fixed a few other control / keyboard input glyphs showing where they shouldn't

  • Fixed reincarnating giving player starting coins again
