Well, I think it's about time I do some patch notes instead of bombarding all my friends with glorious dot points. They'll probably still read all this. Anyway onto dot points inside Steam...

Level Editor Fixes
  • You can now change the Name of a level and the World without having to beat the entire level again. How badly did you want to change it?

  • When placing an item it no longer looks like your mouse is floating away from the item. That's what happens when the FOV is too high kids.

  • Camera zoom is much smoother and now supports gamepad...which is weird as nothing else in the editor does yet...

  • There's now a notice that tells you when you don't have a Player Spawner and a Level Portal placed - and it won't let you test the game. This is to avoid playing amazing levels that never end because there is no player or portal.

  • The mouse no longer runs away to the center of the screen every time you press your keyboard while editing a level

Settings and Saving Fixes
  • Settings now actually save and load to your account instead of the Guest account so you can stop toggling that button every time now Jim.

  • Levels now have temp files and backups when saving to avoid local levels getting wiped entirely - skill issue really

General
  • Player no longer starts on the ground like a squashed fish

  • Level editor UI looks a bit better, but I might change it again for fun later

  • That's about it for today I'm going to play some Megabonk

Future Fixes & Updates
  • Remapping is wild right now so that will definitely need to be sorted out

  • Milliseconds brought back for serious

  • Level end screen overhaul because it's just a hot mess right now

  • Server offline notices and a big rewrite so you can access local levels if it's down

  • Some kind of optional directional indicator so you know which way you're about to slice

  • Music and reactive environments with unique weather

  • MOAR PIECES! MOAR HAZARDS!! MOAR ENEMIES!!

10 Dead Doves - Duonix Studios

Wow, it's been almost a year since we've launched 10 Dead Doves!

We've been so honored by all of the kind words, thoughts, and fanart. What have we been working on since we've launched, you might ask...? Well...

12 game pitches, 4 prototypes, 1 side project announced far too early (oops!) and a whole lot of creative brainstorming later... We're finally in real development of the next full Duonix Studios game!

In the meantime, we've added the long-awaited ACHIEVEMENTS UPDATE to 10 Dead Doves! Pop up to 24 juicy achievements like they're bubbles, with achievements for different endings, choices, progress, and even trash collection!



We've also been working on producing a limited tee merch run (art by https://x.com/ropesnek). We'll keep you updated as that develops!


10 Dead Doves - Achievements Update PATCH NOTES:

Achievements are now in 10 Dead Doves, along with significant performance improvements (more coming soon)!

Achievements:

--Two per dream, one for each Dream Scale choice/ending

--Two ending achievements (one for each ending)

--Achievements for collecting pieces of trash: 10, 100, all trash in the game (174!)

--Other achievements: Pitching every plan to Sean, listening to all of Daniel's tapes, and inhabiting every Vision... (30 in total, media Visions not required for this achievement)

--Doubled FPS in certain areas

--Reworked lighting for multiple levels

--Updated grass foliage lighting for shadow map optimization

--Updated to Unreal 4.27

--Fixed font material issues

-Fixed Sean navmesh not working in L04

CANDYLAR, the sweetest set this side of the Galaxy is coming very soon! It is nearly finished baking, and once it cools we will serve it right up!

Until then, we have a smaller patch with new features, stability changes, bug fixes and a few card changes.


So many FREE Starter Decks!

EVERY captain now comes with a FREE Starter deck! This is true for existing captains AND all the free captains going forward. This means the eight free captains coming soon with Candylar, will have their starter decks FULLY unlocked for everyone.

Additionally, purchasing captains (in the store, on the Galaxy Pass or via Pre-order Bundles) will grant BOTH their Starter Deck AND a bonus theme deck from now on!

These changes are being made in anticipation of Candylar so that all players will have access to lots of Candylar content on release, with lots of ways to access even more content in the store.


🎵Chain Chain Change🎵

The power of friendship turns out to be way too powerful, just like real life! Especially combined with World Shrub and the many ways to get extra shops off silvers. We are making this chain change to hopefully allow synergistic builds around a specific faction to have some strength but not immediately invalidate all previous numbers players have worked to build.


Cosmetic Switcher

The Cosmetic Switcher has arrived! Swap between your favorite Captain skins during Captain Select.

Known Issue: This feature will not work properly in Friend Lobbies yet, just Async. We also plan to add it to the collection page in the future.


Stability and Bug Fixes
  • Gingerbread House overlaying on top of the game after a concession has been fixed.

  • Various fixes for crashes while downloading art in the background. (Note: some users may still experience one more crash before the system "fixes itself" on a given device, but if you still continue to crash after that, please contact

  • Final filter of all old-patch boards. (i.e. No more Santa, Mop, etc. on opponents boards)

  • Little Red will now complete her quest if you transform her

  • Remove “Recruit” from various treasure, enabling them to work when transformed into

  • Fix a bug that kept Sugarplum Faerie from not appearing

  • Frequent Flyer Card was triggering itself, it wasn’t supposed to do that… so we stopped that

  • Commons found off Frequent Flyer Card were not duplicating with Trash Panda… so we fixed that

  • Fixed Bronze Buried Chest completing its own quest when made into a pirate (like off world shrub)

  • Enter key now works to submit lobby codes, gem redeem codes and username updates
