Just a quick patch before the Best Indie Games Fall Showcase!

  • Added multiple save files

  • Convoy vehicles now have thin outlines when "thick outlines" is disabled

  • Elite enemies no longer have thick outlines

  • Deployable turrets now have 16 sprite directions instead of 8

  • Removed "refund" upgrade from turrets

  • Fixed an issue with UI elements moving too quickly at low frame rates

Ashen Empires - FujiQ
A few visual issues related to boats are addressed in this patch. Some adjusts to ocean bosses were made as well - bring some friends! Other minor bugs and annoyances found.

* Player boat draws on char screen if they are in a boat
* 4 factors to create boat level are shown in player screen (E) while on a boat; boat level is shown next to player name from the sum of those.
* Custom player vehicle names showing again
* Pirate's Sail max item health raised to 500, +5 Cannoneering
* Diamond Golem drop rate slightly increased
* Greater Shadow Dragon melee damage output reduced by 20%, reduced health to 15-20k
* Scalo's Revenge called some reinforcements
* Moved Wurms spawn gate up north and east on north coast and erased that sand area where it was at due to player positioning
* Great White Shark spawn mechanism redone to encourage hunting
* Moved Ringhaven banker upstairs; deleted the downstairs mixup also due to player positioning
* You can now craft cannon chain shot (use blacksmith hammer on obsidian)
* Sledgehammer should pick up exterior braziers (large and normal) and return the proper deed however this is NOT retroactive, only for placed braziers moving forward
* General fishing check if player can hold one more item; tried to let them stuff variety of fish in, just makes bp too big and causing issues
* ToF Crab quests can be completed again
* Getting attacked by another player should clear purchased mask effects now
* Ovathan Hudsal quest fixup and giving player 45K cannons not general xp
* Updated Scallywag & Kuthos armor sets with improved navigation skill bonuses
* Hemp seeds give better return when harvested
* Carnivorous kelp given a unique corpse type
* More repair kits (and lobster traps)
* Removed some bank objects that were all over the map
* Necklace of Lightning strikes clears weapon speed properly maybe, probably
* Adjusted boat repair, now uses additive of (skill / 2) + random(skill / 2).
* More chunks of GHW/HW in Mainlands and Krythan Island (get choppin')

Alpha Point - Craze4war
v1.0.3 for Alpha Point released:

  • The number of open/existing sessions for each game mode now displays next to the corresponding game mode on the play screen.
  • Fixed flashbang effect persisting after respawn.

Just a quick update to fix some of the things I didn't manage to squeeze into the last update.

One thing of note though...

The game is now Verified on Steam Deck! If you encounter any issues playing on the Steam Deck let me know. I have one myself and can easily test things out.

Balance Changes

• Shield Ward can now be used while Boost Invulnerable and is not removed by it.

Quality of Life / Accessibility

• Assembler increase level panel can now be opened (and stays open) at max level.

• Buttons in Assembler now disable with tooltips instead of disappearing.

• Clicking ship stats with a controller now shows their respective tooltips.

• Duplicated parts in ship design now retain their layer order.

• Removed 'Switch Target' control binding as not very functional.

• Target under cursor keybind now just picks the closest target and doesn't cycle.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed memory leak in cone weapon explosions due to them not being pooled correctly.

• Fixed error from comparison tooltip when viewing Schematics.

• Baldur and Hodr mission is no longer marked complete until both are destroyed.

• Shield Ward now works correctly with Internal Shield.

• Activating the last weapon in a chain now still activates the whole chain.

• Fixed modify buttons overlapping content above in Assembler Panel.

• Static fleet ships now destroy asteroids that come into contact with them.

• Asteroid collisions with shields now correctly trigger shield hit animations.

• Tooltip pointer no longer reverts to normal pointer when clicking disabled buttons.

PATCH v0.9.6

This update brings one new biome along with several fixes and some balancing updates.

New Features:

  • New nuclear waste biome added.

Gameplay Adjustments:

  • Blackhole upgrade was buffed. It now kills enemies if they are within the blackhole for too long and after its duration ends it spits out all XP for all the enemies that were killed.

  • Small balance adjustment for the ability to spawn pawns. It is now –25 HP to spawn a pawn (previously –20 HP).

  • Small balance adjustment to upgrade that increases damage for bullets on screen. It is now 8% (previously 20%).

Other:

  • Fixed a crash with the freeze turret and the upgrades GAMBIT and BREAKTHROUGH.

  • Fixed a crash involving the laser gun and the rotating gun upgrade HARMONY (aiming and shooting where you do).

  • Fixed an issue with rotating guns not aligning on opposite sides as intended. Small buff also: guns will now slowly rotate while orbiting the player—this increases moments of more surface area to hit enemies with the gun.

  • Fixed an issue where the HARMONY upgrade wasn’t working with the freeze turret.

  • Fixed an issue where enemy bullets weren’t facing the correct direction.

  • Added an option to highlight XP drops (white outline).

  • A few other minor bug fixes / adjustments.

Passant: A Chess Roguelike - honey and chips
  • The Camel piece has a new model to make it more distinct from a knight
  • Undeserved Modifiers now triggers off of 2 for 1 spawns
  • No Slot Empty now works with Undeserved Modifiers
  • Rocks are no longer included in the list of pieces that can be revived by the revive square
  • Rocks dying no longer trigger the medic badge
  • Rocks dying no longer changes your current score (you could win rounds with rocktopus and hidden bomb as rocks gave 4 score when killed)
  • If your opponent finds a way to get a duck... It now appears as an enemy duck instead of a black spot
  • Rocks no longer spawn for your opponent if taken in necromancy chess
  • I'll take 2 can no longer affect rocks
  • Winning bet can no longer select rocks
  • 2 for 1 can no longer select rocks
  • Reflecting Bishops, if changed in someway to another piece (using a promotion coin for example), no longer reflect in their new form
