Battle For The Hill - Chavez
New Feature Update
  • Rolled out Alpha State Legislatures

  • There is only 1 bill to gerrymander a state for a party, more to come, and be expanded later.

  • Governors can propose this bill in states without legs

  • Challenging a state bill costs 125 PC for members of that state, only members of a state can challenge bills in their own state. Challenging a bill means that when it passes it must go to the SCOTUS.

  • Scotus members can challenge state bills in all states for 100 PC.

  • Circuit Court Judges can challenge state bills within their state jurisdiction for 75 PC.

  • Governors may veto state bills for 50 PC cost, delaying them by 12 hours and making them need 67% to pass.

  • States with state senates must have a bill go through the state house, then state senate before it has passed the legislature.

  • Circuit court members, members of states, and soctus members will need to look at legislatures if they want to try and block things. There should be notification for governors, state legislators/senators/etc for when a bill is active in their state.



  • Only these colored states, blue, red, tan, has active state legislatures, the states in grey the legislature is controlled by the Governor.

Once again it's time for this thing.

It's another year for me to be present at gamescom as an exhibitor with my good friends of the DragonBox Shop (from August 20st to the 24th). We're in the retro area in hall 10.2.
While the booth is neither Desktop+ nor VR-related at all, if you happen to attend, feel free to come by, say hi (ask for some "Alex" guy), and check out some retro games and not so retro devices.
We don't have queues or anything like that so you can just jump in.

Maybe I'll see some of you there (did happen once before, really should've gotten a photo and written down the name...), would be really neat.

Anything else going on?

In all honesty, not really. I wouldn't write Desktop+ off as a done and abandoned project, but the lack of interesting PCVR developments has left my focus elsewhere as of late.
There isn't a big feature I've secretly been working on or anything. Though there are of course things I feel like would be kind of neat if they were done...

I'm at the very least still ready to respond to support request and jump in if some SteamVR update breaks things.
Beyond that we'll need to see for now.

Welcome to the final Early Access content update before our official launch! This part two of Summer 2025 Patch is packed with fresh challenges and surprises to carry you into the home stretch. Face off against fearsome new monsters, test your tactics in brand-new battle scenarios, and master powerful equipment skills to turn the tide in your favor. This is your last taste of what’s to come before the big day — so dive in, experiment, and get ready for the ultimate fight when we launch.

Here is the list of changes for this patch version 0.10.024 below:

New Content / Features
  • 2 new variations for the Act 3 boss battle

  • 9 new monsters

  • 8 new battle scenarios

  • Added Holy Roads at the Forked Road, offering special rewards and buffs

  • Added 15 new equipment skills

  • Added combat barks and voice lines during battle

  • Added character SFX during events and silent dialogues

  • Added color variations to enemy armor and weapons according to specific expedition biomes:

    • Blue and gray for The Salheims biome

    • Red and Gold for The Western Wastes biome

Changes / Improvements
  • Adjusted the balance of the following boss battles:

    • First variation of the Act 1 boss battle: Fallen soldiers will spawn 2 turns after the Beacon of the Dead has been activated

    • Second variation of Act 1 boss battle: Giant soldiers revive with less HP each time, don’t act on revived turn, and go berserk after 5 total revivals

    • Third variation of Act 2 boss battle: Menders no longer appear as reinforcements

  • Removed the restriction where only one weapon within an equipment type could be upgraded with a mythic enchantment

  • Adjusted some Trial effects:

    • Veteran Trooper: Applies random enchantments to all enemies, including monsters

    • Overload: Removed “Greater Curse: Recovery Reduction” from the curse pool

  • Improved the Tree of Life skill to now heal allies and damage enemies at the end of the player’s turn within a 5x5 area around the tree

  • Improved the Shooting Spree skill so the follow-up attack now grants a Critical Hit chance bonus when triggered on the next turn

  • Improved the Two-Faced Tablet relic by increasing the Guard bonus

  • Improved the Loaded Dice relic by increasing the chance to obtain an enhanced skill when selecting a class skill

  • Changed the main character’s default weapon to the Traveler’s Long Bow when the Archer class is chosen

  • Updated the ZoC tutorial to clarify that large enemies and monsters do not generate ZoC

  • Changed Ballista attacks to no longer trigger damage reflection effects

  • Rebalanced the conditions under which boss battle variations are unlocked

  • Improved the animation and special effects when the main character uses Copycat on certain skills

  • Standardized character sorting order across all UI screens based on join order for consistency

  • Adjusted the order of Emile and Laurent within character sorting UI screens

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the Zephyr Arrow skill could damage allies

  • Fixed an issue where some enchantment passive skills did not work properly

  • Fixed an issue where the Ice Wheel skill would fail to freeze enemies in specific scenarios

  • Fixed an issue where the preview of event rewards displayed incorrectly

  • Fixed the issue where Bernhardt's chain mechanic would become unremovable, if a summoned unit was bound and then killed

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen - Savanja-VR
General
  • Added an item name filter to the vendor window.
  • Grocer vendors (including several innkeepers) now also sell mineral water and trail rations.
Bug Fixes
  • Taught some of the snakes that were “standing” to stay on the ground where they belong.
  • Cryptlings should no longer be laying down on the job.
  • Mountain stalkers have been taught to stand on all four feet – at least as much as you can teach a cat to do anything
  • Possible fix for another double death case.
  • Fixed an issue where a player's inventory could be listed out in the chat window on login or zoning as if they had just received new items.
  • Fixed an issue where some skills that a class had were not being displayed in the skills list. Known issue: a skill that was just learned sometimes still doesn't display in the list until you zone or relog. Should be fixed in a future patch.
  • The Molten Key is now correctly tagged as a quest item.
World
  • The final encounter for the Ashbreathers Enclave has been adjusted to resolve some bugs and prevent potential exploits.
NPCs
  • Kvetra, the Burning Banshee can now be triggered once per game day. If a player attempts to trigger her and she has been killed recently, the trigger attempt will fail, but the trigger item will now remain in the player's inventory.
  • Blinding Powder (Hanggore Scout) duration reduced and cooldown increased.
  • White Wyvern health and mitigation reduced to single group scaling. The previous change was due to a template adjustment impacting all NPCs in that category, rather than an intentional change.
  • Numerous NPC ability fixes and damage adjustments.
Items
  • Activatable equipped items now work in combat too.
  • Added a new heavy plate drop somewhere in the Ashbreather temple
  • Changed the Writhing Stud from a guaranteed proc on dodge to a chance on any physical damage taken, to account for the increased avoidance characters receive vs targets lower level than them.
    • Cleaned up some NPC ability functionality, damage, and cooldowns.
    • The vendor purchase and sale prices for Alchemical Flux has been increased.
    Adjusted the stats on;
    • Gown of the Hearth (was missing 1 stat, added it to INT), added small spellpower bonus as a placeholder.
    • Charred Guardian's Cuirass (shuffled stats to add +4 WIS to shift the item towards Cleric usage, to align with class armor usability goals based on level). Added 2 Spell Power as a placeholder stat to be replaced by a specific damage type bonus later.
    • Garnet-Studded Emberlinks (Reduced charisma, added it elsewhere and 1 additional missing point)
    • Crystalline Plate Helm (Reduced CHA by 1, increased WIS by 1), added small spellpower bonus as a placeholder.
    • Increased item level of the Investigator rings and added some extra stat(s). The spell power bonuses on the caster and priest version are placeholder until we get specific healing and damage type bonuses available.
    • Headband of Woven Crystal has had its INT bonus moved to CON, and the spell crit removed since no Monk abilities use them now.
    • Corrected the AC value on Frosthowl Raider Greaves (slight increase)
    • Spear of Endless Frost now has +2 STR, +27 crit rating, +27 hit rating.
    • Frost Rimmed Shield AC value removed, block value reduced to correct amount
    • Increased the DEX and STA on the Crystalline Coat to account for the freebie CHA stat points since its a pretty coat
    • Shifted CHA to CON on Crystalline Legplates
    • Added SHM to list of classes for Scepter of Smoldering Symbols
    • Increased CON and WIS by 1 on the Emberweave Ceremonial Shawl
    Quests
    • The quest item that can be acquired from the final encounter in the Ashbreathers Enclave will now be granted to all players who meet the quest pre-requisites and are in the room when the encounter is defeated.
    • A visual effect will now display on the ember braziers in the Ashbreathers Enclave while the cooldown for their associated NPC is in effect.
    Crafting
    Armorsmithing
    • The schematic for Asherium Chain Links, which is required by some work orders, is now available for purchase on the armorsmith trainer.
    Classes
    • Addressed numerous stacking issues for buffs/debuffs, still more issues to resolve, but feel free to submit any that are still stacking or not stacking properly.
    • Long duration buffs changed from 45 min to 60 min durations
    Cleric
    • Greater Resurrection should now be on the correct bar and properly resurrect allies.
    • Channelling Ward now removes properly after casting from the undead line
    • Added new ranks to the Luminous Surge/Burst line starting at level 32
    • Normalized most buff durations to 60 minutes
    Dire Lord
    • Thresh stacks from different players
    • Corrupt Blood V now adds a provoking phantom stack and listed in the codex as level 41
    Druid
    • Hirode's Flame V added to vendors (level 50)
    • Hirode's Flame checks for distance at the start of cast, rather than the end to prevent failures due to minor range changes. Larger distance gaps will still cause the spell to fail (10+ meters).
    • Verdanfire direct damage line damage increased slightly, mana cost increased. Fixed an issue where cooldown wasn't being shared among ranks.
    • Verdanfire Pilum added to vendors (level 48)
    Enchanter
    • Normalized most buff durations to 60 minutes
    Monk
    • Martial Prowess added to vendors
    • Flurry changed back to DEX scaling
    • Double Dragon emerges chi cast cost removed, 5 second cooldown added
    • Precision Hand Strike resist stacking fixed
    • Updated Side Kick retaliation durations on scrolls
    Necromancer
    • Normalized most buff durations to 60 minutes
    Paladin
    • Wrathful Aegis stacks from multiple Paladins
    • Fixed a bug that prevented technique use with certain weapons equipped (please report any outliers).
    • Incite increased threat window for all players during the buff window removed
    Ranger
    • Beckon Grizzly and Beckon Panther now require line of sight to the target.
    • Kaylen's Command and Withdraw now require the target to be within 25 meters.
    Rogue
    • Increased level scaling damage modifier on toxins
    Shaman
    • Grip of the Crags and Gale Strider should now be correctly listed as level 22 abilities in the codex.
    • Normalized most buff durations to 60 minutes
    Summoner
    • Mana Pins properly applies debuff
    Warrior
    • Strike of Breaking stacking rules cleaned up
    • Strike of Breaking IV debuff fixed. Rank 4 debuff applies 35% armor reduction (down from 40%).
    • Banner of Warding decreases spell damage by 10/15/20 per rank and increases melee damage by 10/15/20 down from 10/20/30.
    • Taunt increased threat window for all players during the buff window removed
    Wizard
    • Arcane Brand properly applies debuff
    • Hot, Chilled, Electrified last for 60 seconds and no longer remove each other.
Battle For The Hill - Chavez
New Feature Update

  • Candidates start at 13 IGP (Interest Group Points), Candidates get 1 an hour every hour for 48 hour Presidential Election, so in reality 60 total effective points.

  • Takes 80 points for all interest groups. You can feasibly fill out 6 full interest groups by the end of the Presidential Election.

  • An interest group being filled out is equivalent to 2 Target Ads in that interest group's states.
