Changes
Enemy night search parties no longer chase the player infinitely.
Raids will continue to chase the player, as raids don't end until all the raiding enemies are defeated.
Fixes
Fixed companions making footstep sounds while sleeping.
Fixed some ore not respawning due to incorrectly calculating that something was blocking it from respawning.
This mostly effected mithril ore deposits.
In existing saves, effected ore will respawn in 1.5~2 in-game days.
Fixed companions sleeping in the bed when the player starts an experience.

Welcome to our very first devlog!
We’re starting things off with a behind-the-scenes look at one of the coolest and most foundational features of 100 Lives: the character customization system. To walk us through it, we sat down with Kimberly, our resident Live2D magician and the person making sure your characters don’t just look good, but move like they mean it.
From complex rigging setups to secret Easter eggs, here’s what Kimberly’s been up to:
Q: What did you work on last week, and what’s next?
Kimberly:
Last week I focused on setting up and rigging our character builder in our very own character tool. This will let players fully customize their own characters later in the game. I also updated and rigged Emily, one of our characters, so we have a lively face for our social media. I’ll also keep refining the character builder and start working on some unique NPCs!
Q: What’s a new feature, mechanic, or piece of content you're excited about?
Kimberly:
I’m excited about the depth of the customization system. Players will be able to create characters that evolve across multiple life stages, and I’m not just saying that because that's the main thing I'm working on 👀.
Q: What’s been the most interesting design or technical challenge recently?
Kimberly:
Keeping track of all the assets, like clothing, facial features and hairstyles, across different life stages has been a real challenge. It’s like a huge puzzle to make sure everything stays consistent and works seamlessly as characters grow and change and get more options for customization.
Q: Is there anything players might miss if they don’t look closely?
Kimberly:
Can’t say too much yet, but I’ve been thinking about sneaking in some fun references from other games and media. Whether they actually make it into *100 Lives*? We’ll see! 👀
Q: How is your work helping bring the “100 Lives” concept to life?
Kimberly:
As a Live2D artist, my job is to breathe life into our characters. I take the illustrations from our artist and make them move, and feel a little bit more alive. I think having the characters animated and customizable really makes a huge difference compared to just static ones. ✨
Thank you for joining us for this week’s devlog, and thank you Kimberly for answering our questions!
We’ll be back soon with more peeks behind the curtain (and possibly a few cursed bug stories). Until then, make sure to wishlist 100 Lives on Steam and keep an eye out for Emily on our social media!
