The latest version of Fablecraft—v0.24—is here, and with it comes one of our most magical additions yet:

📱✨ Fablecraft is now live on iPhone! ✨📱

Now you can bring the magic of Fablecraft to your iPhone—play as a Mage at your desk, on the couch, or out in the world. (GM tools are still desktop-only—for now.)

This update also includes deeplink invites, smoother scene transitions, improved reconnection logic, and a fresh batch of bug fixes!



📱 iPhone Support
Fablecraft is now available for iPhone players!
  • Jump into campaigns, roll dice, chat with your party, and explore Mythas on the move.
  • GM functionality is still coming soon, but everything a player needs is ready to roll.



🔗 Deeplinks Are Back
Share a campaign invite link with friends!
You’ll find the option in the Campaign Edit screen—just copy and send. Here’s what happens:
  • Haven’t joined the campaign? The link takes you to Campaigns ➡️ Active with an invite.
  • Already joined? The link drops you directly into the session.
  • The Fablecraft app will auto-launch if it’s closed.

🙃 Known Issues
iPhone Specific:
  • Some Game Log entries may appear overly layered
  • Hero portraits can’t be changed after selection
  • Backgrounding the app may stop music playback
Deeplink Specific:
  • On Mac, the app must be open for the link to work.
  • If you're viewing the Find tab, you may need to manually switch to Active to see the invite.
General:
  • Demo completion data may reset when switching devices (rainbow dice + token skins remain)
  • Video chat connection labels may show incorrect status
  • Players leaving the battlemap may force reloads or scene switches for others
  • "Swift Slice" VFX appears as a white flash
  • "Full Recharge" will not revive a KO’d hero unless their token is removed and replaced
  • iPads may show slight FableChat sync delays (no performance impact)

Heavy Metal Death Can was announced a week ago and we are so excited to have so many of you already on board! (heh)

We will now be moving into the Alpha phase of development after a couple of months of rigorous preproduction since the Vertical Slice wrapped in April. Krufs Productions is a two person operation from Karlstad, Sweden. It's me, Toby, making art and music and my partner Fredrik who does programming. We are so excited about the reception we've gotten on Death Can this past week. We are huge Survival Horror fans ourselves so seeing the community embracing the game is really gratifying!

We're always looking for input from our community, what you guys want to see in the game or in any dev content and whether or not you have any feedback for us. We aren't quite sure about the forum yet, if you guys would want us to set up a Discord server we will consider it but otherwise you'll reach us here on Steam or on any of the socials listed on our website :)

🚀 Public Online Playtest Starts Tomorrow – With Full Modding Support!

I am excited to announce that the Public Online Playtest for The Karters 2: Turbo Charged launches tomorrow June 5th, 6PM CEST— and yes, modding is included!




🛠️ Modding Support is Live in the Playtest

Thanks to your community feedback, I've decided to include full modding support in the playtest!

• Custom characters and vehicles
• Custom tracks (with Time Trial leaderboards)
• Private lobbies with modded races
• You can create and publish your own mods!

The Steam Workshop is fully functional in the playtest build, but

⚠️ Important Information About Mods.
Please note that the Steam Workshop for the playtest operates separately from the main game's Steam Workshop. This is a Steam requirement that cannot be changed.

What this means:
* Only mods that creators specifically re-publish for the playtest version will be available
* You won't see every mod from the full game during the playtest
* You can create and publish your own mods during the playtest phase
* Most active modders will continue to have access to the beta build
