Revenge of the Savage Planet - steam
Great news, explorers! Your interplanetary adventures just got WAY more portable…

Revenge of the Savage Planet is now officially Steam Deck verified, meaning the game is fully functional & fully ridiculous on this mighty little handheld device.

Now you can fall into lava, squish a critter or ignore Alta’s passive-aggressive emails from literally anywhere. Bed? Nice. Couch? Absolutely. Toilet? Weird flex, but sure.

What does “verified” actually mean? 🤔

Although it might just sound like a cool sticker or something that you could have as a fridge magnet, being verified actually means:

🔶 Full functionality while using default controller configurations
🔶 Steam Deck controller icons are shown
🔶 In-game text is legible
🔶 Our default graphics configuration performs well
🔶 No green goo will leak out of the screen (NOT GUARANTEED)

All in all, thanks to prior testing our co-op adventure runs smoother than a Babutt’s face… or butt… or whatever.

Revenge is best served anywhere 🚀

Thankfully for a hard-working former employee like yourself, the Savage Planet experience doesn’t have to end when you leave your setup anymore.

Continue “working” wherever you may be in the world because nothing screams productivity more than capturing alien creatures for totally-normal research purposes.

Forget just one world, you now have FIVE WORLDS in the palm of your hand. Simply fire up your Steam Deck & get to it!

Have fun out there & remember to follow our socials to stay up to date on everything our team is currently working on 👇
Mystical Tactics - Morm
Hi everyone!

I just released a new update for the demo, which mainly focuses on improving the balance and the difficulty curve of the game, as well as fixing as many bugs as I could find.

I'm now focusing my time entirely on the full release of the game, which is still planned for this summer.

As always, if you have any feedback or suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them on the Steam forums or on Discord.

Thanks and have a good day!

Mega Knockdown - dhamster
In honor of our inclusion in this week's TurnBasedThursdayFest, we're releasing a special preview of our upcoming Major Update. This will be a massive update including the addition of two new characters! Why not try it out and give us some feedback?

  • This patch adds 2 new characters: Maria & Nils
  • Both these characters have new Arcade Mode stories and can be used in all modes. In single player modes, you can unlock Nils and Maria by beating Nick and Noel's arcade mdoes, respectively, or by selecting "Unlock Everything" in the options. Because Maria is a newer character, many of her animations are not final.
  • For full beta patch notes, see here: https://pastebin.com/DgDgV6sf

To access the public beta branch:
Right-click Mega Knockdown in your library and click Properties
Navigate to the Betas tab. Select the Maria Beta.
Launch the game. You are now playing the beta!

If you have comments or encounter any issues, please press F8 to notify the dev. Your feedback will ensure that this patch will launch as smoothly as possible. You can also hop on the discord (https://discord.com/invite/bGVftKK ) to find matches and discuss the new update.

Greetings, Commanders!

With this update, our goal is to put tactical command firmly in your hands. We're introducing new tools to coordinate your squad with greater precision, whether it’s by locking onto high-value targets, setting unit-specific priorities, or issuing instant regroup orders in the heat of battle.

Every change is designed to deepen your strategic options and reward smart decision-making on the field.

Tactical Improvements

New Command: Regroup

When things get messy, you need to pull back fast and smart. That’s where Regroup comes in. One command, and every unit in your squad will rally to a point you choose. No fumbling, no delay. You can issue it with a quick click of the Regroup button at the bottom right of your HUD, or by using your assigned keyboard or gamepad binding. Use it wisely, it might just save your squad.

New System: Target Priorities

Outnumbered? Surrounded? Doesn’t matter, what matters is who you hit first. With the new Target Priorities system, each of your mechs follow orders the way you see fit. You set the rules, they execute. Choose from the following priorities:
  • Type
  • Weak
  • Healthy
  • Injured
  • Far
  • Close
Access this feature through the Squad Overview by clicking the button on your HUD, or use your assigned keyboard or gamepad binding. Once you’re in, you’ll see toggles on each unit to set their priorities.

New Option: Focus Fire

Sometimes it’s not about who's the biggest threat, it’s about finishing the job. With Focus Fire, your units will stay locked on their target until it’s scrap, no matter what else steps into range. You can toggle this setting for each unit in the Squad Overview.

New Command: Mark Target
With this new command, you can manually designate a priority target on the battlefield using your mouse or gamepad cursor. Once marked, that enemy will be focused down by your squad, ignoring all other orders.

Thank You, Commander

Before we get into the rest of the update changes below, we wanted to say a thank you for your continued support. To celebrate the latest update, we’re giving all players a new Command Vehicle skin which you'll be automatically granted upon downloading the update. This is our way of showing appreciation for being part of the Resistance. Equip your new looks, hit the battlefield, and show your enemies what style under pressure really looks like!
