Of course we were gonna continue fixing patches either way, but I realized, once a game is done, if you want to make extra content, that's just gravy, right? Who doesn't love gravy?
We're adding a bonus level that requires you to find all the previous secrets. The new level has a new item (The Squirt Stone 💦 🪨), a new enemy (The Fanatic 🐰 🔥), new rabbit world lore (👩🏼🐇🪱), and is just bonkers full of mechanics. It definitely takes some effort to access, and is a bit of an ordeal to beat, so if you love these puzzle battles like we do, we think you're gonna have a real fun time.
The Kickstarter was a failure. But I decided to try to make the game anyway on a $0 budget.
It will be a humble single-player campaign with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit as the sole playable character.
I've been working on it for some time, trying to scrape together time and money to put toward it. I also occasionally post about it on Twitter at @InverseNinjas
And the first episode will be a free update to the game (which will remain $5) that comes out either June or July.
Detailed Notes: We appreciate your continued support and feedback! Here's a breakdown of the bug fixes included in this update:
1. UI Resolution Handling Error Fixed: - We've corrected a persistent issue where the judgment window failed to adapt properly to various UI resolutions. Previously, players might have experienced display inconsistencies. With this fix, the judgment window will now display correctly and consistently, regardless of your screen resolution settings. This ensures a smoother and more reliable visual experience during gameplay.
2. Status Window Information Not Updating Fixed: - A bug that prevented character information in the status window from refreshing in real-time has been resolved. Previously, changes to character stats or status effects might not have been immediately reflected. Now, your character's details in the status window will always be accurately and instantly updated, providing you with precise information about your character's current state.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the game! We're committed to delivering a stable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
1. The fonts have been updated! 2. All translations have been updated to sound more natural 3. A new location (apartment) has been added before the game starts 4. Now you can put your introduction text before the game starts. This text will be announced during the introductions phase 5. Downloaded packs are handled better now (for example, a pack won't be re-downloaded if there's already the same one downloaded) 6. Player kick should be handled properly now 7. Other fixes and improvements
During the conception phase of the game, we came across a disturbing story about “Tumbal Anak” within a horror story submission from our community. This whole thing about "Tumbal Anak" is something we can’t stop thinking about...
“Tumbal” roughly translates to sacrifice or offering. “Anak” means child. Together: Tumbal Anak, a child sacrifice.
In certain black magic practices, especially the more extreme versions of pesugihan (rituals seeking wealth or fortune), the spirit granting riches sometimes demands a life in return. Most of the time, this means an animal, symbolic suffering, or in rare cases… a human soul.
And in the darkest cases? The soul of a child, sometimes even the practitioner’s own child.
Why children?
In these myths, children are seen as pure, unblemished, and incredibly valuable to spirits. Giving one up is considered the ultimate show of loyalty, and in return, the practitioner gets wealth, status, or even protection.
But there’s always a catch. The stories always end the same: the wealth turns sour. The practitioner either loses their mind, dies mysteriously, or is haunted forever by the child they gave up.
The game
We’re not showing violence. We’re not glorifying the act. We’re telling a story of generational guilt, of an unnamed village that made a deal long ago, and the quiet curse that lingered.
