Greetings, Gamers!

I'm pleased to announce that the 2nd Update of Loss is officially live! This is a BIG Update that adds some exciting new features, like a Speedrun Mode, a new Hints System and... a Secret Ending? Let's take a look!


Speedrun Mode


- Now in the Title Screen and/or Pause Menu, you can enable a Speedrun timer that will show up throughout your entire playthrough in the bottom left corner of the screen (above your Health Bar).
- When you finish the game, a new Menu will appear showing your time in that attempt and your best time ever. This is perfect for Speedrunning the game! There is officially now a Category of "Loss" in https://www.speedrun.com/Loss if you want to submit your run. Give it a try!


Hints System


- I noticed that some puzzles were pretty hard to figure out for newcomers, so after some consideration, I decided to add a Hints System to the game!
- At any time, you can access the Pause Menu and press the button with a Light Bulb. This will give you a text hint on how to solve your current puzzle. New hints will appear once you enter a room with a new puzzle. This system isn't perfect, but it will hopefully solve any frustrations you might have felt while solving a puzzle.
- I still HIGHLY recommend that you try to solve the puzzles on your own! They are not that hard, and it will be way more rewarding without any help. Good luck ;)


Secret Ending...


- I added a second ending to the game! A few people requested that I added an optional 2nd conclusion to Loss's story, so I decided to add it! You'll have to solve a puzzle first, I'll let you figure it out on your own...
- A new Achievement was added for this ending. If you want to 100% the game, you'll have to unlock the secret ending as well.


Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where the Save System wasn't saving the Easter Eggs you've already found
  • Fixed an issue where the player would be stuck outside the living room in Floor 0 if he managed to activate the second Boss from the corridor. Now the player teleports inside the room.
  • Additional bug fixes and improvements

And that's all! These were features that I was already planning to add to "Loss", but I needed a few more days to develop everything. I really want this to be the best experience possible, and I hope you'll have as much fun playing it as I did working on it! I don't have any other big Updates in mind, so this will probably be the last "Major" update to the game. Thanks for reading until here, and have fun trying the new features!
Touhou: Fading Illusion - GiMark
Greetings! Today we are happy to announce that Day 3 of the Destitute Chapter is fully complete. What to expect:
  • About 30-40 thousand words or a few hours of reading in most routes.
  • 3 new characters, including familiars faces from games of a long bygone era.
  • Several new songs and CGs. These are included in Part 4 of the game's OST, which you will soon be able to purchase.
This update is free for all owners of the Destitute Chapter. We are also offering a 10% discount for everyone who hasn't yet had a chance to purchase it, which will last until next week.

🏠 Ruby’s Crusader Room is Now Active!
You can now enter Ruby’s personal Crusader Room.

Feed her Cores to build your Starlink Rank, unlocking progress, and future gameplay rewards.

📖 Campaign Mode Now Available
Campaign Mode has been added to the main menu!

The Red Faction's campaign is currently available, featuring a single playable chapter.

Additional factions and chapters will follow in future updates.

🔹 Note: Short cinematics have been added to provide visual context. These are in an early, rough state and will be improved in future passes.

⚔️ Combat & Crusader Updates
Dash stutter has been fixed – movement now feels much smoother and more responsive.

New Combo Attacks added for Sapphire and Queen, expanding their melee combat options.

Sapphire's Blue Damage has been reduced for better balance, particularly with her status-based build-up playstyle.

🎨 Visuals, UI & Map Improvements
Green Faction Units have been visually overhauled, improving their clarity and style.

Blue Faction Units have received updates to highlight personality and design variations between unit types.

Lighting has been improved across several maps for better mood, visibility, and fidelity.

Cel Shader Update:

Improved overall color correction and visual clarity of the game’s signature cel-shaded look.

🖥️ UI & Performance Improvements
Menu Screen Optimizations – Reduced resource load and improved responsiveness.

New Visuals on Menu Screen – Includes updated backgrounds, UI elements, and minor animated effects.

Optimizations to Spawned Units – Improves in-game performance, especially on larger-scale skirmishes.

🗺️ Coming Soon
This patch lays the groundwork for more Crusader Rooms, campaign chapters, and cinematic storytelling. Additional polish and features are on the way—thank you for sticking with the game and helping shape its evolution!

💬 Developer's Note
With Ruby’s room now active and the first campaign chapter launched, Starmetal Crusaders is entering an exciting new phase. There's still a lot to improve and refine, especially in narrative and cinematic areas, but the vision is coming together.

Since launching in Early Access, we've been thrilled by your love for the game and grateful for all your feedback and reports. To ensure a smoother adventure for everyone, we've addressed several issues based on your experiences.

▼ Game Performance Fixes:
・Fixed a crash issue that occurred when running in the background or taking screenshots, caused by an audio plugin.
・Fixed an issue where loaded saves would not retain the selected resolution setting.
・Fixed an issue causing the game to freeze after returning to battle from the Load menu during combat.
・Fixed an issue causing the game to freeze when switching maps or loading a save.

▼ Other Bug Fixes:
・Fixed an issue preventing the Customer Preferences Catalog from displaying correctly.
・Fixed incorrect rewards for the Food Festival quest.
・Fixed an issue where players could occasionally freeze while juicing or fishing.
・Fixed an issue preventing the Red Dragon's Breath Phoenix from respawning correctly.
・Fixed missing localized text translations for certain quest chains.
・Fixed an issue preventing the Swordfish Roll recipe research from triggering correctly; obtaining Swordfish Meat will now trigger it as intended.

▼ Gameplay Improvements:
・Adjusted the time flow rate: Game time now passes twice as fast (changed from 12x real-time speed to 24x real-time speed).
・Updated the nighttime visuals for the island.
・Increased the drop quantity from common wild monsters.
・Enlarged the Customer Diary button for better visibility.
