We can’t wait to hear your thoughts, so hop in and let us know what you think!
A new Story difficulty level. Perfect for players who just want to experience the narrative. On this setting, the AI is less aggressive and moves more slowly.
Optimization improvements for smoother performance.
Removal of certain blur-like effects that were affecting visual clarity.
Temporary change: the game now supports only two languages. Full language support may return in the future.
This version is not the current release build, but it provides a solid foundation for modders, developers, and curious minds to build upon. All third-party assets—such as art, music, and plugins we don’t own or have redistribution rights for—have been stripped out to comply with licensing rules.
That said, most of the removed assets are: • Available via the Dependency Sources linked in the repo • Included in the default RPG Maker asset library
Why Now?
Simple: I found an old ZIP of 1.4.0 and decided it was time.
There’s a chance a cleaned-up 1.4.1 build (tentatively called 1.4.2) could be re-released with updated branding (Drakonian Nexus instead of KitsuNet), and possibly some tweaks to the pricing or metadata.
What’s Next?
Open-sourcing Kitsu’s Destiny was always part of the long-term plan—especially once the game became less financially viable to keep as a paid product.
Down the line, the base game itself may go free entirely, with paid DLC remaining available to support ongoing development and content.
