Hello! Hereās the latest update. Weāve added search functionality for in-game information, linked repeat battles to rewards, and restructured systems to help track and choose your growth path more intuitively.
š 1. Codex System & Rewards
š Feat Codex + Reward System
When you equip a feat and raise it to level 5, youāll receive soul crystal rewards.
š Monster Codex + Reward System
You can view basic information about monsters. Killing monsters increases research level. The higher the research level, the more bonus damage dealt to that monster.
š Class Codex + Reward System
View all unlocked base and advanced classes. You can check stat modifiers, unique feats, and raise mastery level. As mastery level increases, that class deals more damage.
š² 2. Chaos Dice & Formation Rework
š Chaos Dice System
When party members are actively engaged in battle, chaos mode begins. If chaos lasts for 6+ seconds, a random dice effect is triggered based on your formation. Each formation has a pool of 3 unique effects.

HeHe was the first game I ever made. When I was working on it, I didnāt know how to write code or use a game engine. But three years have passed, and now I can code and have a much better grasp of game development tools.
HeHe Remake
I didnāt want to leave my first game as it was, so I decided to remake it from scratch. I hope to finish it as soon as possible.
In our game, there is a race called HeHe, made up of blue squares. One day, Professor Ooz gets tired of being alone, feels trapped, and eventually goes mad. Because of this, he creates a robot girl powered by artificial intelligence: HeHeBot.
However, the HeHe government realizes that this AI robot is highly useful. They decide to mass-produce her and use her in heavy labor like mining and even in wars.
But when Ooz refuses to hand over his āwifeā to the government, the HeHe authorities stage an āaccidentā and kill him. Still, they praise him as a hero for discovering such advanced technology.
This technology leads the HeHe people into an era of prosperity⦠until that day comes.
GamePlay
In this universe, we take control of HeHeBot, created by Ooz. We dive into mines, make discoveries, take part in battles, and much moreā¦
With 0.11.0.0, the Heroes For Hire development has started to shift towards the full game, thanks to everyone who has played the game so far and tested! I don't really think there will be NO more updates to the demo, but I don't plan on adding much more content.
This update focuses on cleaning up a lot of the stuff I've missed out on, and I've included a new font as that was one of the major complaints I've been receiving so far. You can pick the new font by changing the Font Type option in the menu.
Enjoy! And remember, please report any bugs I may have missed. Likely I have, especially with the new time speedup system.
Anyways, here are the patch notes.
0.11.0.0
Additions: - You can now send heroes off to sleep and relax on hero info pins, it's under the schedule tab as there wasn't enough room on the main tab. - Added heroes and enemies to raid maps, watch them battle! This is a little glitchy at the moment to save on performance. - Added animations for the cenitpede's squeeze attack, the scorpion's sting attack, and the genie's wish attack. - Added an option to use the localization clean font, and as a result, the CleanEnglish localization option is now gone too. - The current "clean" font has been replaced as the old file didn't look great with english characters. if you noticed the filesize tank, that's why as this new one is far smaller. This current font doesn't support every language, but this will be expanded in the future. At the moment, only english localization exists anyways. - The game's speed has been reduced again. Very slightly, this time, around a 5% speed reduction. - Clicking on an hour on the clock will now speed the game up to the time, unless there is a raid running. (While possible to go in super-speed during raids, it tends to cause issues.)
Other Changes: - All (unless I missed one) buttons that can be clicked now glow when hovered over to be FAR more clear what's a button and what is just something that can be hovered over. - Changed how shortcut pins work so they they can't be glitched. - The icons on popups have been made larger. - Items with commodity indexes now also show how the price for the commodity is trending. - Dragging a recipe out of the crafting popup will no longer clear all the placeholders if the dragged item is dropped onto a popup. - Crafting popups now show whether or not the item storage has enough items. - Smoothened popup functionality again. - Popups can now hang off screen in compact AND normal UI mode. - Slightly tweaked how the Get The Ball Rolling popup works again. - The guild audit preview now has the floor changes from a previous patch. - The cursor now scales up with the rest of the screen scale.
Balance: - Slightly increased the reputation from completing a raid. - Projects now unlock on day 4, or 125 reputation. Was supposed to be unlocking on day 5 but it appears as if it wasn't. - Services now unlock on day 10 (not 22), or 250 reputation or 250 guild rating. For the last two, you no longer need to be on day 3. (This wasn't ever happening, but just in case, it's been removed.) - More things now impact the commodity price of items. - Slightly tweaked some of the formulas that determine when heroes want to sleep and wake up. Heroes will now (almost) always wake up at least by shift start if they have more than 25% energy, and have slept for 7 hours. There was also a system in place to encourage heroes to sleep for a small period at least before waking up, but it was bugged and now it isn't.
Bug Fixes: - Fixed a crash related to the project list. Sorry, I think a couple people were effected by this. - Ventura can no longer request you create a project before you've unlocked projects. - You can no longer delay projects that have already been delayed. (Delaying a project impacts hero work ethic slightly so this could break stuff.) - Fixed the default Shop popup size. - The item storage now has the correct number of slots that it says it has. - Fixed some odd font offset issues with the clean font. - You can now change your localization options again. Oops. - Fixed a crash relating to hero skills, again. - Previously, when there wasn't enough potions in the item storage to start a raid, you'd get a warning. If you crafted potions then started again, it would not give the hero the potions. This has been fixed. - Fighting rival guilds in tournaments no longer destroys their ELO. - The tournament cost to enter, and the prize pool was mismatched.
šø Bullet Hit Reactions Enemies now react when hit by handgun fire - adding a sense of impact and responsiveness, especially up close.
šø Enemy Footsteps Youāll now hear a soft, subtle step as enemies approach. Itās not loud, but enough to help you sense their movement and presence.
Thank you guys so much for the support! I am a stay at home mom and this is my dream! I promise to keep fixing and adding to the game and improving as a developer for this game and future adventures! All of the support I have received is amazing and I can not thank you guys enough!
More achievements coming and possibly more story, spells and monsters!
