Dungeon Survivor - Airagone
Hello everyone!

We are excited for you to try out Dungeon Survivor in Early Access in less than 2 weeks! Leading up to our Early Access release, we have been able to get a few stats and achievements added into the game. We have more achievements to add during early access, so keep an eye out for that.

In addition to adding a few achievements, we have also added the first pass of 'scoring' for Leaderboards. Here is what that looks like right now:

  • Completing a level will award (100 * level) points. (Ex: if you completed level 4, you would get 400 points). This caps at 1000 points and drops to 500 per bonus level completed
  • Slaying monsters awards 25-50 points depending on the enemy
  • Opening a chest will award 100 points
  • Cooking and eating a meal will award 25 points
  • Points are DOUBLED in HARDCORE MODE

We will continue to assess how scoring and leaderboards work, and make tweaks leading up to final release as needed. Currently there is only a highscore leaderboard, but there may be a 'hardcore floors completed' leaderboard in the future.

What's next?!
  • A few more achievements to add (in progress)
  • Scoring and Leaderboard visibility within the game (next)
  • Improvements to Enemy Behavior
  • Missing SFX: Not everything that should have a sound effect has one, these will be added soon
  • Missing Controller glyphs: We only show 'xbox controller glyphs' at the moment. Soon we will detect the controller type and show the correct glyph for you
  • Improvements to lighting and level decoration (most levels are done; some still are in progress for 'decoration')
  • Improvements to bonus level system; These generated levels are playable, but not yet 'complete'

Known issues
  • We are aware of a performance issue causing a small stutter every now and then. We will start investigating this as soon as we wrap up current ongoing work. Expect updates in regard to this issue at some point during early access
  • A few maps have walls missing collision layers which allows the player and enemies to leave expected play areas
  • Enemies will sometimes ignore the player

Plains of Pain - Frost
Plains of Pain – Major Update v0.6 is Here

Dear Survivors,

This is everything to us.

From the very first day of development, we've pushed forward with one goal: to build a brutal, immersive, and meaningful survival experience. Every update, every patch, every late night and early morning has been driven by the passion of our team—and the powerful support and feedback from you, our community.

Major Update v0.6 is not just another patch. It’s a milestone. It represents months of effort, countless iterations, and a bold step forward into the future of Plains of Pain.

  • Environmental hazards are now biome-specific—prepare for low-oxygen zones or extreme heat areas.

    • 2x back slots for melee, ranged weapons, or heavy materials.
    • 1x sidearm slot for handguns or knives.
    • Backpack slot rework: carry jerry cans, crates, liquid bags—barrel backpack now serves as a 60L liquid container.
  • Streamlined 4-slot hotbar (expandable in future updates).
  • Drag-and-drop item combination with right-click Hotbar support.

  • New "namespace" parameter allows easier environment switching (e.g. production/test).
What's Next for Plains of Pain

This major update is a foundation—but it’s far from the finish line.

Our next patch will continue to expand on everything we’ve introduced here. We’ll be digging deeper into world-building, survival systems, faction warfare, and performance. Every area of the game will continue to evolve, and we’ll be doing it together—with you.

With your feedback and our full dedication, Plains of Pain will keep growing into the post-apocalyptic survival experience we all believe in. One step at a time, one patch at a time, we’re shaping something truly special—a harsh, beautiful, and unforgettable world.

Stay sharp. Keep surviving. And prepare—because the wasteland still has many stories to tell.

Vuntra City - Lara
New bugfix patch is out!

Demo Patch 0.1.5 Notes

Bug fixes and improvements:
- Fixed issue where items would be floating in the air if the player spawns inside a sky tram tower.
- Improved sky tram routing thanks to the glitchy seed found by Skish
- Throwing items in VR now transfers more momentum from the hand, allowing you to throw further.
- Bottles now break more easily
- Reduced the frequency of gym interiors, there were way too many of them.
- Fixed ground shadows sometimes persisting where they should be removed.
- Fixed items floating in the air near building entrances.

Also, I am now working on the NPC spawn and schedule system and I have something very cool planned for it. However, I can't talk about it until I finish implementing the prototype and make sure it actually works and performs the way I'm hoping it will, so bear with me in the meantime.
