Images over 700KB are now blocked during avatar upload.
If your mascot image is larger than 700KB, a "FIX IMG" button will appear. You must click it and choose a new image to continue.
The new image must be a 1:1 square, be a .PNG file, and be under 700KB.
If your avatar does not have an image at all, the "FIX IMG" button will also appear. You must assign a valid image before uploading.
MateEngine Improvements:
Scroll-to-Size now only works when the menu is closed, to prevent accidental size changes.
Scrolling in the Settings Menu no longer changes the avatar size.
UI scrolling is now smoother and no longer sticky.
Memory allocation performance has been improved. Note: this does not guarantee lower RAM usage. RAM usage depends on your model. Optimized avatars typically use 100 to 300MB of RAM. Heavy avatars with large textures or high polygon counts will use significantly more.
We've been working hard on new content for the full game, so for this monthly update we wanted to get closer to unveiling the masteries, which will function as the meta-progression system of the game. Our focus was to experiment with potential masteries that provide a few more goals to aim for in the demo, besides completing the collection.
Challenges
We added a few challenge runs that incentivize playing the game in different ways. They are also harder than normal runs, but we truly believe in the feeling of conquest through struggle that a good challenge can bring, and it's something we want to continue to explore with the other zones the game will have. The following challenge runs are now available after completing a normal run:
Timeless (the run is lost after 30 minutes).
Heartless (your dead characters revive as ghosts and the run is lost by failing a single combat).
Hopeless (rewards only offer 1 base option).
New Enemies
You can now find two new (spooky) level 3 enemies in the Shadow Woods.
Balance Changes
Fixes
Fixed multi-hit skills stopping mid use due to losing their target (they now try to get a new target within range to use their remaining hits instead of simply not doing them at all).
Fixed forge slots becoming enabled after increasing the forge uses while a forged item was already crafted but not yet picked (this was causing the first forged item to dissapear if you forged a second one before picking up the first one).
First of all, thank you for your recent feedback. I’ve noted many things to tweak and improve in order to make the game more enjoyable. Your comments are very important to me, they help identify what’s not working in the gameplay and also give me perspective on how to develop the different elements of the game.
I've kept many of the ideas that were recently suggested to me, and I’ll do my best to implement them in the coming days.
In the meantime, here’s a small update that fixes some bugs and introduces tooltips when hovering over an item in the inventory. These tooltips will provide more information about how to use an item or a feature.
Changes:
Slot machine cost has been reduced, and their rewards increased.
+ Added information bubbles when hovering over items in the inventory.
NPCs will arrive more quickly when you enter the shop.
Fixed some furniture items in the inventory that couldn’t be deleted.
Fixed a few translation errors.
Thanks again for all your feedback and suggestions! I’m really happy to see you’re enjoying the game, and I’ll do everything I can to keep improving it in the days and weeks to come!

Short but sweet, with over 500 playtesters signing up over the course of 3 days was a great success! We've learned a lot about the good things and bad things about the game and to make the best of our time we decided to end the test prematurely to focus on developing and improving the game!
Watch out for the next playtest and if you feel you want to be a dedicated playtester with access to the full game, let us know on Discord!
