I’d like to thank everyone who reported bugs, streamed gameplay, or posted beautiful screenshots on social media during this time!
Also, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who left a STEAM review. Reading your warm reviews gives me a huge boost of motivation to continue development!
If you haven’t written a review yet, I’d be absolutely delighted if you did!!
I’ll continue making all sorts of updates, so please stay tuned!
I wanted to take a moment to talk directly to both longtime players and those just discovering For What Will Come for the first time. Most of this will be a repeat, but I feel that communication is necessary!
Anyways,
If you’ve played the original game or even just looked at the store page you’ve probably noticed it’s in a pretty rough state. And... yeah, that’s fair. It was my first ever publicly released game. I made it with limited experience, limited tools, and honestly, a whole lot of trial and error. Over time, the game files were corrupted and became unrecoverable, which meant I couldn't go back to fix the bugs, improve pacing, or add features the way I wanted to. That’s why I made the decision to set the original game to free it stands now as a frozen piece of what it was, flaws and all.
I know the original version is the first thing people will see when they visit the page. It's what they'll judge the project by and I get that. If you've played and want to support this journey, now would be a great time to leave an honest review. It helps so much more than you think, especially in getting For What Will Come: Reimagined in front of new eyes when it launches.
But that’s also why Reimagined exists.
For What Will Come: Reimagined isn’t just an update. It’s a completely rebuilt experience from the ground up. New visuals. New voice acting. More impactful storytelling. A stronger emotional core.
I also want to be real for a second: I know a lot of new players might come across the original and make judgments based on what they see. Maybe they won’t even give Reimagined a chance and that’s okay. But I’m learning. I’m getting better. And I genuinely believe this is a huge step forward.
Thank you all for being patient with me. I work a full-time job outside of game development, and while I wish I could work on this every single day, sometimes progress has been slower than I’d like. But every minute I spend on this project is with the goal of making it something truly special.
I’ve also been working on some brand-new game art and a brand-new logo! In my opinion, it better captures the mood and tone of the story I’m telling now. I'm really proud of the direction it's going.
Thanks again for being here, whether you played the original or are just discovering it now. Your support means the world, and I can’t wait to share more soon.
I’ll also be hosting a giveaway closer to the release of the reimagined version, for 5 lucky winners!
