This is a minor content update but I think it makes the game look so much better that it deserves a "regular update" announcement
Alpha 1.16.2 - Small background visuals update -Updated every background art to a more simplified art style that does not clash with the character models -The previous background sprites were far too detailed in relation to the level of detail on the characters. They use very few colors and make heavy usage of gradients. -On top of the aesthetic matching and less distraction from the combat visuals, simple backgrounds are much quicker to make, which means that much more variety in background art will soon be made, such as multiple backgrounds art per room type, and more room types in general. -Player and enemy shouldnt hit each other simultaneously anymore if one stuns or ragdolls the other -Arcade mode music replaced with Sole Replicant and no longer breaks during intermission screens -Checkpoint flavor text updated -Removed WIP style from style select -Updated 1.16 patch notes to include the addition of axe kick
Fixed issue where game would crash when trying to create larger puzzles (10,000 to 20,000 pieces).
Of note, if you are still having issues of game crashing when creating larger puzzles on lesser hardware try turning off the bevel detail completely in the video settings.

This version focuses heavily on combat and the dungeon crawling side of the game. We are incredibly interested in feedback on our combat, progression, and level generation, and how the time mechanic ties into it all, so we've focused on featuring those aspects in the current release.
As it is freely available for download, you may do so at any time. If you try it out, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and, if you enjoyed, adding it to your steam wish-list. We will update this demo as we add more features in the alpha stage, so stay tuned!

Patch 1.0.6 has just been released. This patch overhauls the graphics for two heroes, Odysseus and Achilles! The patch also brings a few polish improvements and bugfixes.
Patch Notes:
Improved graphics for Achilles.
Improved graphics for Odysseus.
Added new sound effect for fire breathing attacks.
Updated how hero epithets are applied to allied units. This fixes a bug where the Lion-Hearted wasn't correctly increasing army health. This change also causes hero buffs and debuffs to display both during and outside of battles.
Fixed an issue where unit swap and tutorial sounds were playing on the Music audio bus rather than the Sound Effects audio bus.
Added labels to reroll and health boon previews indicating the exact amount of rerolls/health to be granted as rewards.
Notice: If you already progressing the story, to avoid game crashing or other problems please make sure to check the integrity files after the update is over. To make sure the files are corrected downloaded by STEAM. 10% of times STEAM doesn't download the files correctly for Them and Us, therefore the game may crash in different areas for missing the files.
1. We fixed a problem that we encountered with the new DLC, not displaying correctly her facial animations in cinematics. This problem is now fixed. 2. We added support for all steam workshop items to support facial animations correctly in cinematics.

5. For people that are interested in the Steam Workshop and wants to create characters for Them and Us:
- renaming is now available, simply name the package the name you wish to appear instead CommunityCostume_X. - the config file is no longer needed to update the name
-Fixed a bug where the game movies would not play.
We have confirmed an issue where movies would not play in some environments, and have now fixed it. We cannot guarantee that this fix has resolved the issue in all environments. The reason is that the problem only occurs in a limited number of environments, and the development team was unable to confirm the problem. We asked the users who were experiencing the problem about their environments and details, and investigated the cause. Based on that, we are making the correction. As a result, there may be environments in which the issue has not been fixed. In that case, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we would appreciate it if you could contact us by replying to the notification.
We will continue to work on this issue so that the issue is fixed in all environments.

Hey just wanted to come on here quickly and put out some patch notes, but first I want to thank everyone who's been playing and talking about The Obsessive Shadow, it's been really fun to see everyone excited about it and it makes all the hard work pay off!
Now enough with the rambling! Here are some patch notes:
- Fixed Echoing audio when TV's are playing video files - Fixed issue with Levers/Sliders resetting progress bar randomly while holding them down (VR) - Fixed issue with levers/sliders not letting you use them when progressing that hour causing you to need to go back to the menu and resume from that checkpoint (Flat Mode) - Fixed Credits not pulling up in bad ending - Fixed Some Achievements not being awarded properly - Game Over screen now auto redirects to main menu after 5 seconds automatically - Fixed an exploit at 1AM allowing you to evade death by not shining the light at the windows at all until the next hour starts. - Fixed an overlapping phone ringing issue at 3am - Removed Herobrine
