Hello everyone! Thank you for all the support on the HOMESICKNESS Steam page. I've been working pretty much daily over the past year to get to this point, leading up to 2025.
To give some more developer insight into this process, I wanted to write this entry; not only as the Steam page's first announcement but also to discuss my overall approach to this game and what I aspire to achieve with this solo-made project.
As previously mentioned, HOMESICKNESS has been in active development over the past year, starting in mid-2024 and remaining consistently in development until now.
As already explained on the main Steam page, one of the core intentions of this project is to explore nostalgia through an abstract, surreal canvas that extends to every layer of the game itself.
This has been carefully thought out, and overall, I am confident in saying that it has been achieved to its potential. There is so much I'd like to talk about and so much I'd love to go into detail on when it comes to this game's core story and layer of ambiguity, but I aim to save what is, to me, one of the most important aspects of this game for the full release.
Every element of the game has been designed to work dynamically as a whole, serving as meaning for many of its inner themes and intricacies. And as of right now, the game is actually very close to completion!
If I had to give a rough estimate, I'd say about 80% of the game as a whole is complete. I am mainly in the polishing phase at this point, though there is still quite a bit left to do, far beyond the polishing phase.
Working on this game entirely alone as a solo developer has taught me many things, and I am very glad I've been able to pull this off. Work will continue over the coming months, and though I can't give a definitive release date at the moment, my rough estimate is mid to late May. However, take this with a grain of salt, as it is not set in stone; just my approximate deadline.
This is, above all else, a deeply passionate project; one that I've poured so much of myself into. I can't wait for it to finally be released and for all the work to come to full fruition. I'm excited to share more, and I can't wait for everyone to play it!
As an adequate way to close off this post, I want to once again thank everyone for all the support given. This project has put my entire skillset to the test, drawing from years of developer knowledge. I've had to come to terms with so much as the sole developer of this project, but I promise it will absolutely live up to everything it is setting out to do.
I want this project to fully live up to its concept, its purpose, and its goal of telling a deeply intricate, psychological tale. And ultimately, to be a solid game, with tons of gameplay working perfectly in harmony with its story and concept; without sacrificing the focus of either.
Unfortunately, the Steam release of Sportvida CyberDash will be delayed for 3 weeks. The new date is April 11th. We're introducing two new modes to the game: Race Mode & Dodge Mode, and sadly, this means we need a little bit more time to get it just right. We're almost at the finish line and excited for players to experience Sportvida CyberDash on PC. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Adjusted construction restrictions near the boundaries of certain areas in the Northern Wasteland.
Increased the recovery time for Blade Mastery - Dash Slash. When in a movement-impaired state such as Slow, the charge distance is reduced.
Wilderness Mark - Firepower Guidance can now stack with the Triple Shot effect of Bow Mastery - Divine Power Possession, with the damage ratio being slightly reduced.

Tribesmen will now prioritize collecting resources closer to the target point.

Begin to celebrate St.Wodwose's Day in the world of Wild Terra. It's time to try your luck!
For a long time, miners have noticed that in early spring, when mining ore, you can encounter small green wodwose. They are very shy and run away immediately, but because of their prey they run slowly and it is usually not difficult to defeat them. Take a look in their bag! You will receive an additional amount of random ore (including iron and thozorium!). Besides the ore, the Wodwose always carry the rare Lucky Four-leaf Clover with them. Also, clover can now be caught when picking wild flowers, and especially lucky ones can find lucky clover flowers.
St.Wodwose's Day Event:
- When mining any ore, there is a chance to encounter small green Wodwose. - When collecting any wild flowers, there is a chance to find a rare type of lucky four-leaf clover. - Lucky four-leaf clover has begun to grow in the world, real lucky ones will be able to find it. - In the "Craft" window, the "Saint Wodwose Day" tab has appeared. There, you can make unique items and event food with the help of the lucky clover.
