Right now, I’m trying to create a new trailer. To gather enough video material, I played my game extensively and got my ass kicked constantly... I realized that running back all the time is pretty exhausting.
Additionally, I noticed a few bugs while playing and watching AresLps' stream (much love ❤️), which I want to fix with this update. That’s why this is a slightly bigger patch with bug fixes and balancing adjustments:
Brightness during rain and thunderstorms has been adjusted so it no longer looks like nighttime. The guy in the tavern has learned English – his dialogue is no longer in German! I also learned a bit of English – Wulf is now Wolf. Some collision issues have been fixed. Ranged weapons now deal more damage. Some ranged skills now cost less energy. The pistol now scales with Strength instead of partly with Dex. Items now have a higher chance to roll Dex for ranged damage scaling. Two-handed weapon damage has been partially reduced. The Defence stat on items is no longer a percentage but a fixed value. The stats of Cassandra Relic armor pieces now work properly. The light from Cassandra’s Helm has been reworked and hopefully won’t go out anymore. Enemy damage has been reduced. The armor value of bandits has been drastically reduced. Energy potions have been fixed. Gems now only drop at Level 1 and always stack. Lockpicks now stack up to 25. The monster volume for dogs has been lowered. The bear volume has been significantly reduced. The chest in the shipwreck for the logbook has been repositioned to be more obvious. The logbook tutorial questline had a bug where the quest kept reappearing even after completion. From now on, every quest in the questline will be removed upon leaving the first village – even if it shows up again later. The collision of barrels and crates has been increased so projectiles hit them more easily. I hope all these changes work as intended. I can only test it properly tomorrow – and hopefully, I won’t be eating dirt as often. At 42, running for miles over and over again is quite tiring. It might be a little too easy now, but we’ll see. Balancing and math are tricky.
Update: Fix ESC is now working on Pause Menu!
