To reflect the ongoing hard work and continuous improvements to the Kingdom of Rizia on PC, we will be adjusting the price from $9.99 to $14.99 after the launch of the 3.1 “Sovereign” Update. This aligns with the game's depth and development effort while maintaining its value.

A brighter chapter lies ahead, and we can’t wait to experience it with you!

With this change, the PC price will now match the price of the game on mobile, ensuring consistency across platforms.

Developer Interview with Game Designer Laurence

Today, we sit down with Laurence, one of our Game Designers, to dive deep into the latest changes and additions to the game. From refining war mechanics to introducing a brand-new aircraft system, Laurence shares insights into the design process, the challenges faced, and the exciting new strategic possibilities that await players. Let’s hear more about what’s coming in Update 3.1 Sovereign Update!

“Having been part of the Torpor team for a year and a half now, I was lucky enough to work on the war mechanics from the early stages. Over time, I’ve had the chance to refine, expand, and deepen the mechanics, hoping to create a challenging but enjoyable strategic gameplay experience.

With the Sovereign Update, we’re introducing my favorite feature: the aircraft mechanics. This new feature takes war mechanics to new heights—literally—by incorporating air support, airstrikes, and cooldown periods for different actions. Use them strategically or as a last-ditch effort.

Another key focus of the update was improving accessibility. We realized the war production panel wasn’t as intuitive as we wanted. To address this, we added a short tutorial to help players make the most of the feature early on.

Beyond warfare, I also had the opportunity to implement multi-tiered decisions that build on each other. I love including small moments of humor—tiny nods or bits of jest—to provide some levity without detracting from the game’s serious themes.

Seeing players engage with the mechanics we’ve worked so hard on is always the most rewarding part of the process. I can’t wait for everyone to dive into Sovereign and experiment with the war mechanics from a fresh perspective.”

Upcoming Feature: Archetype Selection

With the 3.1 Sovereign Update, we're introducing the Archetype Selection feature, allowing players to carry over past choices in a new way. When starting a Sordland or Rizia Story, those who prefer not to replay a previous one can now select an Archetype to define the protagonist’s past decisions.

Each Archetype has a title and characteristics describing their personality and political orientation, shaping the impact they would have had. For example:

“When I start my new run through the Kingdom of Rizia but don’t feel like replaying Suzerain, I can select an Archetype to represent Anton Rayne. In this run, I’m feeling a little chaotic, so my President Rayne Archetype will be a radical reformer who aggressively opposed the Old Guard. This will shape how the past influences the present in my new playthrough.”

If you have completed a previous Story, you can also select your own past playthroughs as an Archetype, allowing your unique decisions to carry over without needing to replay. We can’t wait to see how players use this feature to craft new narratives!

Upcoming Feature: Economy Graph

We’re also making key improvements to how the economy is displayed in Suzerain. Inspired by community feedback, the “Sovereign” Update will introduce two major changes:
  • The top-left HUD indicator will now clearly display four distinct states of economic health: Danger, Unstable, Stable, and Growing.
  • A new Economic Growth Graph panel will track how your economy changes over time, displaying real economic variables from your playthrough.
These additions will make it easier than ever to understand and react to Sordland’s economy.

Sneak Peek: New Character Portraits

Here’s a first look at some new pixel art portraits coming in the 3.1 “Sovereign” Update! These characters will play a key role in the upcoming update, stay tuned for more details.

Until the next update, take care!

Game:

The reminder quest for the summer festival now displays an info text at the beginning of the day, just like the auctions, so that you don't miss the event.

The Growth spell no longer works on dead plants or plants that do not grow at all during the season. For plants that do not bloom during the season, it only allows the plant to grow to the ‘fully grown’ stage.

Algae are now completely harvested during the picking process.

With the magic basket and the magic sickle, it is now sufficient for a plant in the harvesting area (3x3 fields) to be ripe in order to use the tool. Previously, you always had to centre the area on a plant that was ready for harvesting. Any information such as (germinates in X days) still only refers to the selected field.

After a time jump at a shrine, the collected info texts for natural events and other things that were spent in time and are no longer important are now deleted.

Bugs:

The icon for the algae oil recipe was displayed incorrectly in the shop and inventory. This has been corrected.

Gypsies were coming to Woddhome every day for up to a month after a world event without bringing their stall. This has been fixed.

The animation of lightning attacks on dragons and the lightning spell from the desert DLC still had the wrong animation. This has been changed.

The Destroy Vines of Death spell was not restoring the ground minimap correctly. This has been fixed

In the last update, a bug had crept in with the gifts from the NPCs to the player, which meant that you repeatedly did not receive a gift, although this was announced! This has been fixed.
Rogue Bricks - mikbal
Thank you, everyone, for being interested in my game.

Rogue Bricks has officially gone gold!

You can buy it at 20% off until the end of the Spring Sale.

But wait! Release does not mean I'm done with it!

Here are some of my future plans for the game:

-In the next few updates, I will continue adding new perks, power-ups, and special stages to the game.
Balancing a roguelike game takes quite a bit of effort. Not every power-up I added made the game more interesting—I had to remove some of them. If you have any ideas for new power-ups, please post them on the discussion forums!

-Aim Arena currently has only three sections. I scrapped the others because they weren’t fun. I left the first three as a way to teach players how to aim the ball. Aim Arena will eventually become a challenge gauntlet where I add my most difficult handcrafted levels. Look forward to it!

-Easy Mode is currently disabled. I found it too slow and not fun. I will think of ways to make it enjoyable.

-I need your feedback! Is the game too hard? Too chaotic? Or a piece of cake? Or worse boring :( Please leave a review or post on the Steam Discussion Board.

Thank you very much,
mikbal
Baldi's Basics Plus - Basically Games
Hello everyone!

I wanted to post a quick status update on how development of version 0.10 is coming along! Between how much work I've been putting into this update and some other business related stuff, I've got a lot going on this month, so I'm going to keep this update short and sweet.

So far, I have finished programming and designing pretty much all of the new features I had planned for this update! At this point all that's left to do is create and implement all the audio/visual assets and fine tune/balance everything. I'm very happy with how much I was able to get done in February and can't wait for you all to be able to play this new update

For this update, partly to keep it short and partly to keep the new features a surprise, I'm just going to post some WIP screenshots of some of the new stuff. Just a few teasers of things to look forward to! Please keep in mind that there are still plenty of placeholder assets in use in these screenshots, so the new stuff will mostly look very different in the release version.

Currently, I'm aiming to release the pre-release of this update on April 7 (Pre-releases are available via my Patreon) followed by the public release on April 14. However, audio/visual work can take an unexpectedly long time sometimes so don't be surprised if I have to push it back another week. I will certainly try to avoid delays though!

One more thing before I wrap this post up. I want to remind you all that, while 0.10 will be a pretty sizable update, 0.11 and onward will be smaller overall as I will begin shifting my development focus so that half of my efforts will be spent on content for immediate release and the other half on stuff that will be reserved for the future, primarily version 1.0. You can read more about this plan in a previous staus update I posted here, but the TLDR is that I want to get the game's planned structure (All the key moments I have planned from the beginning to the end) up and running by the end of the year. This stuff will not be a part of the early access, but having those things in place and somewhat functional internally will, I believe, be a huge help in finishing the game.

All that is to say, don't be surprised when 0.11 releases and seems significantly smaller than 0.10! It won't be because I'm slowing down, just due to me shifting my focus.

With all that said, I hope you all look forward to the release of Baldi's Basics Plus version 0.10!

Shattered Spines - kadon
The wait is over—Shattered Spines V2 has officially entered Early Access! This massive update improves movement, physics, and level design. While the game is still a work in progress, we’re excited to give you an early look and hear your feedback.

❗ Important Notes
  • This game is NOT finished. It is actively in development, and your feedback will help shape its future. Rather than delaying, we want to build it with the community’s input.
  • Shattered Spines V1 is now discontinued. While it will still be supported on the Speedrun.com leaderboard, no further updates or content will be added.

What’s Available Now
  • New UI – A fresh interface for a smoother experience.
  • Classic Levels from V1 – Ported to V2 with evolving physics (some may be temporarily uncompletable).
  • New Level Pack Previews – The first few levels of each new pack, showcasing their unique mechanics.
⚠️ Note: Due to evolving physics, some levels may not be completable. Once movement is finalized, levels will be adjusted accordingly. Your feedback is crucial—let us know how the movement feels!

⚠️ Known Issues
  • Level-Based Achievements – Often do not unlock correctly.
  • Double Jump Issues – Sometimes it works inconsistently or feels off.
  • Tutorial Load Crashes – The game may crash when loading the tutorial.
  • Hue Slider Bug – The hue slider does not visually reset when clicked, but the correct value is applied.
📅 What’s Next?
We plan to release weekly patches every week (probably/hopefully every Tuesday) to improve the game based on your feedback.

🏆 First Major Update – V2.1
The first major update, V2.1, may be tested on an alpha branch before full release. Timing will depend on community feedback regarding physics.

Planned Features:
  • 🎮 New Speedrun.com Board! – Updated for V2.
  • 🎧 Audio Design – The game is a little too quiet right now… let's fix that.
  • 🌍 Localization – French? Oui. More to come.
  • 👀 More Content – But we’re not ready to reveal that just yet!

💬 A Message to the Community
This update represents 300+ hours of work by one person (me). I’m working hard to make this game the best it can be, and your feedback is everything!

Thanks for playing, testing, and supporting Shattered Spines V2! ❤️
