Android mobile game update requires re-download and installation (download link has been updated) This week we have implemented the following optimizations and fixed several issues
Optimizations:
When players die in the same round, prioritize remaining HP for ranking - player with lower HP ranks lower
(If HP is equal, sort by elimination time - earlier eliminated player ranks lower)
Thank you all for your interest in SWEEP. I’ve added a lot of new content to the final version, which has significantly increased the workload. (Also, I got too caught up playing Monster Hunter over the weekend… Sorry!) As a result, the release of SWEEP will be delayed until April 11th.
I truly appreciate your understanding and support!
Added dice whist minigame to the game! Use the cheat command /whist to access it.
Back from a retreat, and during the season of Lent I will ensure to redouble my efforts, and make sure I am spending a bit more time with the game.
This is a bit of a frivolous update, but every RPG needs a unique minigame that NPCs play. I quite like whist, and whist would be an appropriate game, but it can take a while to play. So to speed things up: dice whist. It is very close to whist, but since dice are independent, there is a lot more volatility. Is it a cliche to take a card game and transform it into a dice game for use in an RPG? Maybe, but I'm going to do it anyway.
The rules of dice whist are as follows: each player has six dice, all of which have different orientation of numbers (1-6) and suits (keys, coins, mushrooms). To start the game, a player draws one trump die out of a bag. This will decide what the players will play for, as well as which suit will be double-trump. They then draw trump dice out of a bag. The players who drew the double-trump dice roll, and the higher roll leads first overall. The lower roll leads last overall. The remaining players orient themselves in order of keys, coins, mushrooms, and keep the trump dice for play throughout the game.
The players then roll their dice, and keep them hidden. The starter initiates play, and players must follow suit if they have the option to. The highest, most recently played die wins the trick, unless a trump suit is played, where the highest most recently played die of the trump suit wins the trick. There are seven tricks per round, for each of the seven dice the players have (the six normal dice and the one trump die). Opposite side players are on the same team, and tricks are tallied accordingly. My teammate led his trump die. Everyone must follow suit and play a coin if they have one.
There are four rounds per game, and each player will start one round. Trump suits rotate throughout the game, so that the starting player has a trump die of the trump suit for that round. At the end of the game, all the tricks are tallied up and the winner is declared. The team splits the pot, so each winning player doubles his ante. An albino carrot well earned. Actually, my teammate had a lot of good rolls and carried the team.
While technically the minigame is not in the game, it can be accessed by typing "/" (the slash character) to enter cheat mode, and then typing the command "whist" (/whist). Again, maybe not the most significant thing to update, but I did have some fun making it and it probably will be in the final game, at least in some form. And the dice objects could be useful in other minigames, like dice poker.
I'd love to hear what you all think! Remember to email any questions, comments, and prayer requests you have to roguesofeuropa@protonmail.com, or just leave them in the comments below.

Oh! And I've created a discord. Be among the first to join!
Peasants, gentry, and royalty alike: We're so excited to shake up your 21st century friends and foes' gatherings with a sparring experience unlike anything you've seen before. After being awarded the Most Innovative award this past fall from judges at Akupara Games, Xsolla, NetEase, and more, we've been hard at work behind the scenes to bring you the indie title that's sure to make your next party a bit more jester-friendly. Scroll on to read more about what you can expect from our full game!
1) TWO! new actions: Random + Swap
In rounds 1-4, players will use a brand new sabotage: Random! This sabotage allows a player to exchange a trinket on the board with a random trinket from the pool. We hope that players use this to both refresh their trinket options if their secret category isn't onscreen as well as to begin to make guesses on what categories their opponents may have on hand.
In rounds 5-8, players will use another brand new sabotage: Swap! This sabotage allows a player to swap the position of two trinkets. Important note here: your sabotage will take place after the round ends but before your trinket gets added to your chest. "Rats! I wanted the green weapon but now I'm stuck with a blue gem! There go my points." - your opponents, probably.
Demo players will be familiar with our egg bomb that's here to stay. This feature allows you to destroy one trinket of choice. New to the full game: You will now have *two* egg bombs in one of our new set of rules we're debuting. We'll be dedicating an entire future blog post update on these new rules specifically but you can expect two different sets of rules to keep your opponents on their toes!
2) Private lobbies
Don't want strangers lurking in the castle corners plotting your demise? In our full game, you'll have the option to host a private lobby.
3) Crows with even MORE personality
While choosing a bard crow versus a jester crow doesn't affect the points system, you can now expect the crows to be even squawkier than ever. We're debuting new lines of egg-celent trash talking to create an even more immersive gameplay experience.
4) Refreshed UI + UX and tutorial
The castle's looking a lot shinier these days! Our UX team has been hard at work making the castle more intuitive. In addition, our updated tutorial features tips and tricks on how to more consistently get higher scores and get better at deducing your opponents' categories.
5) More detailed scoreboard
Wanted to improve your gameplay but didn't know where exactly your strategy went wrong? We're debuting a more in-depth win/lose scoreboard that will help you level up and sabotage even better the next time the call of Trinkets! beckons you in.

Thank you so much for your continued interest in Trinkets! and your support this past week at Steam Next Fest! We were able to double our wishlists and wanted to thank you all for being a part of our growing crow-mmunity.
By order of our developer team, we've decreed that there shall be a future full game release date announcement and more exciting updates from us in 2025 and beyond!
WARNING: Do NOT open levels you care about in this version. You will no longer be able to open them in the latest stable version (because the save format has changed), and they may be corrupted due to this version being unstable. If you wish to open levels you've already made, you should back them up first. You can do this by opening up the game, going to the "My levels" or "Crusades" section, hitting the folder icon (a new button added in this pre-release), and making a copy of everything inside to somewhere safe.
It's time for a new beta with some of the biggest and most awaited features from Tanks v1.6: Custom player tank configurations (player builds) and the Steam Workshop! This beta also adds the ability to add fake players to parties for lonely people like me, along with a new player rankings screen for versus levels.
To play the beta, select the "Pre-release" beta from [Gear icon] -> Properties -> Betas.
What's new in Tanks v1.6.c:
Added configurable player tank builds
Added Steam Workshop support
Added public Steam parties
New crusade editor
Added option to add bot players to parties
Added best run display option for speedrunning
Added new versus mode rankings screen
Bug fixes and other minor improvements
Player builds are accessible from the level editor's object menu (the second icon on the top right of the editor), inside the player tab. From there, you can edit the weapons and behaviors of the player tank just like with a custom tank. You can also add more builds to let players decide between different options for what they want to use.
To support the new builds, the crusade editor has been redesigned to be a single list with everything (levels, builds, and items), instead of separate lists. I think that this new layout makes it a bit easier to understand what unlocks when, and to move things around, but if you have any feedback on it, feel free to let me know.
New social features are also available now! Parties can be made public with the click of a button:
And you can browse all the current public parties from the "Join a party" screen:
You can also now share your creations with others from the new Steam Workshop section:
Here, you can browse, download, play, and vote on creations others have made or upload your own.
Note: at the moment, the workshop is set to "unlisted," meaning that you'll only be able to access workshop creations from the game itself until 1.6's full release - not from the Steam community hub webpage. This means that the "View in Steam" button on creation pages in Tanks will give an error currently - but the content is still there for others to enjoy.
The player bots setting is accessible in party host options. You must make a party first, and then you can add up to 999 fake players to it. It's a lot of fun to watch hundreds of bot players shoot each other down, but you might want to be careful if you're using headphones :).
The names of these bots so far are randomly selected from submissions by members of the Tanks Discord community. I am still going to be adding new names to the list in future pre-releases, so if you'd like to suggest some of your own names for bots to potentially use, feel free to submit them in the following form. Your name could be immortalized as a bot in Tanks!
The new versus results screen shows the order in which player tanks were destroyed:
Please report any bugs you may find, as well as ideas or suggestions you may have, either as comments here or in the Tanks Discord.
