Cave Update

You feel the Earth move, the floor beneath you groans and rumbles as if alive. You are certain that something below shifted, but what, or who, caused it?

The seismic event caused the Werewolf cave to collapse in on itself, revealing an elaborate cave system.

The Werewolves now have a new home.

Roles

Serial Killer
The Serial Killer has always felt like a less interesting version of the Cannibal. I'm reworking him with a focus on his need to kill.

  • Notoriety resource has been replaced with Blood Lust.
  • Begins the game with 5 Blood Lust, and loses 1 per night.
  • If he ever reaches 0 Blood Lust he is removed from the game.
  • Still strikes players with an unstoppable attack if he can predict who they are targeting.
  • Now granted 1 Blood Lust for each successful kill.
  • Now untargetable at night.


Arsonist
  • No longer ignites two players.
  • Now ignites one player, and their targets.
  • No longer has permanent defence.
  • Now only protected from fire.
Night Owl
  • Now only invites 3 players to her Moon Party

New Features
  • The coaching carousel is here! As the season progresses, coaches will lose favor with their athletic director, leading to termination. You can review your own performance in the athletic director’s eyes in the “Performance Review” screen.
  • You can view open positions in the new “Available Jobs” screen. As coaches leave for greener pastures, watch their jobs open up as well, leading to a cascade effect that can shake up the entire landscape of college basketball!
  • As this cascade effect happens, you can view all the changes in the staff changes log. This will track where coaches have been and where they are going.
  • On the other end of the spectrum, when you succeed you can earn achievements (steam achievements integrated as well!). These achievements lead to achievement points, which you can then spend to upgrade your coach by purchasing coach skills!

The narrative has always been the strong point of The Secrets of the Lighthouse. Some aspects affected the quality of the final product, but most of them have been fixed, making this the most stable version to date, including:

- Adjustment to the inspection camera.
- Fixes for some map-related bugs.
- Tweaks to certain animations and cinematics.
- Improvements to some game interfaces.
- Fix for door mechanics, where a bug previously prevented the door state from being saved when respawning or loading a previous save.
- Loading adjustments to fix a bug that caused the screen to go black when opening the game for the first time.

We've been listening to your feedback, and Update 0.7.12 brings several improvements and fixes based on your reports! From better UI navigation to refining core mechanics like sleep and item consumption, this update is all about making your journey in Norovellir smoother and more immersive.

Improvements & Fixes
  • Added tab menu navigation UI
  • Improved codex organization for better readability and quicker access to important information.
  • Players can no longer interact while swimming, preventing unintended actions.
  • Improved quickslot functionality
  • Item сonsumption feedback is now clearer, so you always know when an item has been used successfully
  • Fixed an issue where players could climb trees (unintended, though impressive)
  • Reduced the spread of plague among villagers, making settlements more sustainable
  • Players can now select the number of hours to sleep
  • Sleep balance adjusted to better reflect fatigue and recovery
  • Game now saves automatically after sleeping, securing progress
  • Your plugged-in controller should no longer block you from using keyboard and mouse
