It was inevitable. It was by far the biggest community request after Chapter One released:
The Train Map.
The Train Station is by far the most complicated map ever made for CULTIC, that will have players fighting through sprawling cargo yards and dusty depots, connected by segments where the player will have to fight through a moving train! It's also physically the largest by far, spanning nearly a kilometer total, although a chunk of that is train travel stuff.
Getting all of this working with the Quicksave system I think took a couple years off my life.
Anyway, very excited for everyone to get to play this map, but for now, here's a little taste of some work-in-progress music from the map, and some fresh screenshots!
Fixed the bug in the previous version that caused the room to be unable to arrange staff after dismissing doctors and nurses. Now you can dismiss doctors and nurses with peace of mind. The previous save files have been fixed.
Think you've seen everything from Sid and Lia? In the grand scheme of things, that was merely a soundcheck. Buckle up for what's coming—bigger beats, heavier riffs, and a lineup that's ready to steal the stage!
Metalhead Set. Plug in, turn up, and let Letargica melt faces with her Combat Electric Organ—a sonic beast tuned for total destruction.
Rap Star Lottery. The rhythm takes over when Ace Vibe drops in, bringing an arsenal of weapons straight from the studio of our insanely talented content creator, Di Streets! Expect the DiStreets' Deck (special weapon), the Street Cash SMG, and the D-Ice sniper rifle—smooth, sharp, and headlining every fight.
Time to expand your sound, lose yourself in the rhythm, and ride the wave of musical chaos. No looking back—it's time to own the stage!
This week's event is all about speed, control, and torpedo mastery.
To kick things off, we figured we'd revisit classic Tidal Shock: Every match this week starts with a round of Reactor Rush to scratch that nostalgia itch! Reactor Rush is a winner-takes-all race where you collect energy cores and slam them into the ever moving reactors before your enemies do.
Seek bar and Play/Stop function added to video tutorial panel
Videos in the Video Tutorial panel can now be played back at any time using the seek bar! You can also Play/Stop videos by aiming the video and pulling the trigger!
Changes to the suicide button
The suicide button had many reports of accidental presses, as it was possible to suicide with one click! The suicide button now adds a grace period before suicide! (5seconds) When you press the suicide button, a slider appears on the screen and you have to hold the button down for a 5seconds to suicide!
Bug fixes
Introduce a countermeasure to a problem that Quest3 JoyStick may not respond in certain situations
We have not yet found the cause, we modified the code that takes the directional judgement of the controller's joystick.
I've been hard at work on the railroad and made it to the launch of the playtest! Let me know how you like the game in the Steam community hub! If you're a streamer then please feel free to make videos.
The playtest has one boss to defeat, two locomotives (you have to unlock the FP7) and two weapons (you have to unlock the wrecking ball). I'll be working on relics and that will probably come in the demo version when we get there. Ok lots more work for me to do!
