Hey there, Pachan Farmers! It’s time for another chapter of the Pachan Prophecies. In today’s update, we’re unveiling more details about fruit trees and plant mutations. As always, this is the point where you can stop reading if you wish to explore the new additions on your own. 😄

New Fruit Trees

Once you complete the main story, you will be given a new quest. During this process, you’ll get new plants, such as a cacao tree, a fig tree, and a vanilla orchid growing on its host tree, that you can bring back to your farm.

We really wanted to include the cacao tree in some way, since chocolate is a highly influential plant in our collective history. While it is easily found in our world now, its origins trace back to the cacao plant, believed to have originated in the northern parts of the Amazon rainforest. Its rich flavor and cultural significance spread across Central and South America before eventually reaching the global stage.

In Roots of Pacha, you will be able to use cacao beans to make hot cocoa, a recipe you’ll get by befriending a tea-loving Yakuan you may have already met in festivals.

Plant Mutation

Similar to animal mutation tokens you’ll find in the new caves, you’ll discover seeds of this ancient knowledge that had been hidden away. A familiar yet new plant that you can choose to plant in its original or newer version.

As with other seeds, once you discover this variety, you’ll be able to get more seeds from Igrork and plant whichever variation you prefer. Once you complete the new cave quest, you’ll also get recipes that use these new plants.

Today, we’re excited to share the Last Epoch Season 2 Launch Trailer: Tombs of the Erased.

Bringing a new Faction and new Woven Echoes, Travelers can learn more about the mysterious Weaver, Her influence over Eterra, and perhaps even Her plans for it in Last Epoch’s Season 2: Tombs of the Erased update.

While exploring these mysteries, Travelers will face formidable Champion Enemies and Mini-Bosses, earning powerful rewards along the way. Through enhanced Crafting systems, you'll strengthen these treasures as you prepare to confront familiar enemies who have grown even more dangerous in their pursuit to reshape your Fate.

The new Last Epoch Season means a new set of Twitch drops and a brand new “Support-A-Creator” campaign.

The launch of Season 2 will also bring new Supporter Packs. However, the Eternal Supporter packs will leave the store forever on May 2nd, so make sure to snag it before it's gone!

  • Added animations for some characters (more to come).
  • New introduction.
  • Raven's abilities now work like those of the Akumons: they are purchased with skill points and limited to four.
  • Based on player feedback: added grass to delimit Akumon capture zones (except in caves). For snow and sand, the character's feet will now be covered in capture zones, with an animation to indicate it.
  • The Overground is available from the start of the adventure.

We’re back with a new update for the INAYAH demo, bringing optimizations, fixes, and balance adjustments.

You’ll notice that some changes are marked with a [⭐️] – these are improvements made based on your feedback! We truly appreciate all your suggestions and are committed to making the game experience as smooth and enjoyable.

List of changes:
  • Optimized Steam Input to reduce input delay.
  • ⭐️ Adjusted the balance of certain enemies – reduced their health and damage.
  • ⭐️ Tweaked the Rider boss – lowered its health, and its spinning attack no longer damages shielded fists.
  • Added icons for the talent tree for better clarity.
  • ⭐️ Added cursor navigation in the talent tree window for controllers, along with an option to adjust sensitivity. To enable it, press “Toggle control mode” while in the upgrade menu.

Now – we're beginning to review the submissions. This process will take some time. Stay tuned for a future game update which will include many of the winning submissions. We're also looking to include some winning submissions out-of-game (such as on the game's store page) in the future as well!

Once we've reviewed all submissions, we will begin distributing the Screenshot Contest Sweater and Instant Camera (Shutterbug) cosmetics to any winning participants. Those items can take up to 72 hours (after we've begun distribution) to arrive in your inventory. You should automatically receive a Steam notification once the item has arrived in your Steam inventory.

Balance Tweaks
  • All vanilla magazines can be salvaged.
  • Increased player movement air strafing acceleration.
Quality of Life
  • Added a separate keybind [Left Shift] for skipping item context menu action crafting menu.
  • Added a HUD element when outbound voice chat is turned off (optional). Helpful if multiplayer safety menu was skipped.
  • Prevent quick-salvaging mythicals or items with kill counters or ragdoll effects. This should help reduce cases of accidentally deleting valuable items, but we can still assist through our support site when/if it happens.
  • Ping display now shows Steam Networking Sockets client transport calculated ping. This is more accurate than the (now fallback) ping calculation.
Anti-Cheat
  • Show a disconnect message for HWID spoofer ban. (Previously a "shadowban.")
  • Removed once-per-input-frame limit on server-side line-of-sight checks. This better protects against bullet hit spoofing at the cost of higher server CPU usage.
  • Increased server hit validation leniency against players in vehicles. Reduces false negatives when shooting fighter jet pilots.
Servers
  • Added warning on loading screen when game connection ping is higher than in server browser.
  • Changed default admin commands Internet server list filter to Any rather than No.
  • Servers with a GSLT can be bookmarked without setting "bookmark host." This makes it easier to reconnect to private servers.
  • Clarified anycast proxy is often used for DDoS protection in warning.
  • Added an option for server host to indicate an anycast A2S proxy is in use. When manually indicated the ping warning isn't red.
Server Curation
  • Added support for built-in "recommended" curators. This will allow us to convert some of our moderation lists to the newer curation feature.
  • Added server curation option for default action: Show, hide, or move to bottom.
  • Curation list shows web list dat parsing errors.
  • Entering a workshop file URL in server curation field subscribes to it.
Modding
  • Added NPC Vendor options to override item descriptions.

Changes to Anycast Proxies

This update changes how we handle "anycast proxies" to better balance server hosts' need for DDoS protection (a primary use for anycast proxies) with player concerns about accurate connection quality.
  • Currently—to avoid misleading players—servers found to be using an anycast proxy are flagged. This has two effects: (1) ping has a red warning label about "anycast", and (2) 50 ms is added when sorting by ping to prevent these servers from incorrectly showing amongst the lowest ping servers.
Server owners have expressed that this solution feels too punishing, as anycast is often used to mitigate denial of service attacks. Changing in this update:
  • The warning label clarifies anycast is typically for DDoS protection: "Warning: this server uses an "anycast" proxy for DDoS protection, so in-game ping may be higher than shown."
  • Server hosts can flag their own servers with a new "Is_Using_Anycast_Proxy" option in Config.json. To incentivize this, when the host opts-in the ping isn’t shown in red.
  • When there is a significant difference (>50 ms) between server browser ping and in-game ping, a warning is displayed on the loading screen. This reads: "Warning: the in-game ping (X ms) is higher than the server browser ping (Y ms), likely due to a DDoS protection mechanism. High ping may cause laggier gameplay than expected."
Travellers Rest - Isolated Games
  • Fixed an issue that caused blank dialogue windows to appear when certain market customers spoke.
  • Fixed an issue where multiplayer guests did not properly load the host's orders upon joining the game.
  • Fixed an issue in single-player mode where all player skills were being applied as if they were unlocked.
  • Added a 15% dead zone to the left joystick.
  • Fixed a visual issue with seagull shadows.
Castle Craft - Twin Earthling
Hey everyone, we have just publisher the first patch for the demo, taking various feedback into accound we've received. A HUGE thanks to everyone who has made suggestions and joined our discord. Here are the changes:

⏳ Gameplay & Controls:
* A separate stamina bar that is used for sprinting, double jumps, and shield smashes
* More Build Time in Easy and Default mode.
* Mouse Inversion Option for both character and building pawn.
* Pickaxe Speed Boosts at higher levels.
* Easier waves 1 and 2.
* Improved enemy army positioning.
* The tutorial can be skipped completely via a dialogue option in the first dialogue.
* Friendly archers aim better and predict enemy movement. They also don't charge into enemy units anymore when at a distance.
* We don't teleport minions home anymore if you build economic zones underneath them. We just lift them up.

🔥 Weapons & Combat:
* Improved Ballista and Multi-Ballista: they lock on target quicker and shoot more accurately
* Flamethrower Fixes & Improvements – Crash issue resolved while being destroyed, HUD updated, and fuel recharges faster.
* Smarter Army Composition Algorithm for more of a natural unit placement.
* The sword has a stronger knock-back effect & can be used while jumping
* Improved magnets: They now attract flying units too & have less of a performance impact.

📷 Visual & AI Enhancements:
* Improved Camera Angles when enemy armies spawn.
* Flying Skeleton Bombers Nerfed – Attack speed significantly reduced.

🔥Bug Fixes
* Crash fixed which was due to the flame thrower firing mechanism.
* Some players being stuck in the tutorial after the economic zone part.
* Sometimes brainlings don't get activated and stand around.
* Some players were stuck in the sword part of the tutorial.
* Enemy units now do the correct amount of damage to doors, traps, and other prefabs.
