The long-awaited American Dream add-on has been released! Exciting scenarios and game modes, new opportunities to serve VIPs and launch marketing campaigns are waiting for you, and all this on the expanses of the United States of America.
For one month from now, a unique game mode - “Expensive Fuel” - will be available in the add-on. The essence of it is that every time an airplane leaves the airport, money is spent on fuel. That's why you have to always ensure that all airplanes are profitable, i.e. do not fly without passengers or with a small number of them. In a month's time, this mode will be replaced by another. Do not delay and try it now!

The Steam page for The Backworld has been fully upgraded! There is a new trailer, cover art, and many updated character designs, portraits, etc! Also new updated descriptions.
Player Design
The player has been updated to be more unique, also the animations are higher quality.
Companions
All of the companions have had updated designs! Now they are truly badass (and cute).
Portraits
The portrait style has been updated to something more anime-inspired rather than the more Earthbound style we had before.
Cover Art
The cover art has been remade to show the duality between the regular JRPG-like areas versus the creepy Backrooms surreal areas.
As announced in the title, the game will finally be released in Early-Access very soon in May 2025! it should only have the 1st chapter of the adventure, which also serves as a tutorial. I think there will be plenty to do while waiting for the sequel, which will be released quickly in future updates. a Sandbox type map will likely be available. It will be available in several languages.
In future updates, many additions and modifications will be made: gameplay added and/or modified, map additions, graphical improvements, bug fixes, etc. The game is quite advanced overall, I've been working on it alone for several years, which therefore takes more time and requires acquiring a lot of knowledge in different areas.

After a few days of testing and reported issues we got to work, fixed some problems, and updated some visual stuff for this update!
Here are some of the fixed issues: 1. Fixed a bug causing the game to be locked when settings menu in the main menu is opened. 2. Fixed a bug causing the game to be locked when players reach the last stage. 3. Fixed a bug that caused tearing to shadows on the top side of the screen. 4. Added a low hp screen effect. 5. Changed reward pickup texts to show button images instead of text to interact. 6. Removed dash input delay and dash input stacking. 7. Lowered "Haymaker" weapon attack cooldown. 8. Added fencing in some scenes in which it was very annoying to fall down. 9. Made some performance improvements.
Thank you everybody for reporting bugs. Hopefully the gameplay should be smoother now!

Added SPUR Rock Cleaver. Unleash a powerful strike with your Sword
