This update focuses primarily on fixing bugs with a few additions and changes.
Important note: Horses might still have issues with being reset when entering your save. I was able to stabilize the issue but I didn't test it extensively. If you purchased one and you need to exit your game, try to have the horse near your shop if possible.
Additionally, for anyone needing to view the Roadmap.
If you'd like to download the unstable version:
Right click on the game in your Library.

Patch Notes
**Additions/Changes**
Reading Home Maker DIY book will show as owned when viewing the same book in stores. So that you don’t accidently purchase the same book twice.
Adjusted the process for crafting weapon components from metal bars. The quality of your hammer now determines how many strikes are needed based on the metal bar’s quality. For example, the default hammer has a quality of 10. If you strike a metal bar with a quality of 5, only 2 hits are required. However, if the metal bar has a quality of 13, you will need 4 strikes to shape it into the desired weapon component.
Items you sell to the merchants will be available for repurchase in the buy tab.
Added option to donate 1,000 and 10,000c coin to the Town Hall.
Added few more mining nodes throughout the world including Mithril and Adamantine.
More landscape edits.
**Fixes**
Fixed an issue where quickly opening and closing the inventory would break the camera when headbob is disabled.
Fixed an issue where the camera would sway left and right when headbob is disabled.
Improved character rotation for a more natural feel with headbob enabled. The character will no longer glitch into the camera when spinning too quickly.
Adjusted male character animations when holding items like a torch, positioning them slightly out of the player’s field of view to prevent obstruction.
Fixed an issue preventing the creation of certain metals like Tin.
Fixed issue with customer holding on to their coin purse when forced to leave the shop. They will now drop in on the floor.
Adjusted anvil ui to follow the player at slightly further distance.
Buying in stores should properly update stock amount.
Merchant items stock now update server side. So if a friend buys or sells something in the stores, you’ll be able to see the stock update.
Should no longer be able to mount a horse when you die.
If you remove a weapon from sale that has a high price and the customer wants to barter, the exclamation above their heads will be removed.
Customers will leave the shop if they get frustrated with a barter.
Fixed issues with the reputation system. The max reputation for the next level wasn’t properly adjusting if you leveled down when losing reputation experience. Additional issue was if you went below 0 experience at reputation level 1, the experience value would set itself to the max experience value. So the experience value has been clamped to no longer try to subtract if we’re already at 0 experience at level 1.
The Delivery Man should now be better able to deliver to your hard to reach areas.
The Delivery Man should no longer linger around if for some reason he was unable to deliver your package.
Fixed issue with Clothing Merchant being stuck in ground.
Fixed issue with being able to walk thru your shop while riding your horse.
Fixed issue with one of the minigames not showing up on loaded games if completed.
Fixed issue with being able to sprint infinitely.
Fixed issue with being unable to complete a few of the puzzles.

Hello everyone! Today I am happy to announce version 1.4 update to Idle Fields. This update brings out a brand new way to play Idle Fields with the first game mode, Skill Locked. More saves are also available and Smithing now has two smelters and some experience/recipe balancing changes.
Skill Locked
This brand new game mode allows you to play Idle Fields in a new way. When creating a new save, you can now select between the regular mode and Skill Locked. Skill Locked will by default have every skill locked. As you start, you get to choose 1 gathering skill to unlock for free. Any content within other skills will not be available until you have purchased the skill that it requires.
Save Slots
Idle Fields now allow you to create up to 3 different saves. This is so that you do not have to delete all of your main progress if you wish to play Skill Locked. You can also make multiple saves if you wish to challenge yourself in other ways.
Smithing
The last update, v1.3 introduced Smithing. I have received much feedback on this skill being a lot slower than others. To combat this, a new smelter has been added to the mountain area. All smelting recipes have also been reduced from 3 ores to 2 (exception of Steel). Crafting tools never provided experience. This issue has been resolved.
Changes
New Gamemode: Skill Locked. Progress Idle Fields 1 skill at a time! In this mode, every skill is locked by default. You must use gold to unlock the next. Be careful, each skill becomes more expensive!
Introduced new save slots. 3 slots are available now!
Changed how saves work to try and fix an issue where the game crashing deletes all progress made for the session.
Added an extra smelter with a new worker for the mountain area.
Tools now provide smithing xp when made at an anvil.
Balloons are now a lot more common.
The Minecart event in the mountain area now gives resources instead of exchanging them for xp.
Fixed an incorrect tile by the lake in the farming area.
All smithing recipes for making bars now require 2 ores instead of 3.
Achievements
Finally, I want to ask for your opinion. With the introduction of a new Game Mode, I am curious if everyone wants more achievements for reaching milestones for Skill Locked specifically. I wanted to publically ask before adding any since I realise it would require completing the game twice to fully unlock all achievements. Let me know what you think!
