It wouldn't be a proper release without a Day 0 patch! Our cold ales had to wait, we had some major bugs to fix, and here we go! Both of the first 2, the big ones, will also fix the problem on existing saves.

We're running what's hopefully the final-final BAPBAP Steam Playtest before launch - playtest will start from February 19, 11:00 AM PST.
You'll be able to play everything in new version of BAPBAP outlined in the Blog and more.

-a quick heads up that all the shops have a button prompt to open them now. If you hit PING or INTERACT (F on the keyboard or Y on the controller) when you are in or near a shop then the shop will open. They don't open on their own when you are close anymore to make them less jarring and unexpected.



-the red forest has undergone some seasonal changes ... it was feeling a bit too big and empty so I shrunk it down some and added a bunch more to it like enemies, a cave, and a new boss.

-the new boss has a laser head that will hurt you if it gets you. You can check out a bit of the fight here on Bluesky.

-the stalker enemy has had a bug fixed so it should be more aggressive, a little more challenging, and a bit more fun now.

-bombs now take multiple hits to kill instead of just one.

-bats have been added.

-small, laser robots had a bug fixed where they wouldn't follow you correctly at the right height. They also had their attack radius expanded so they'll feel more aggressive and challenging now.

-In the red forest, you'll also find a cave. It's a very small dungeon with a specific gameplay challenge and some rewards for working through it. You can check it out here.

There is another cave that you can find later in the game as well. The smaller nature of the caves allows them to have challenges that probably wouldn't work for bigger or more open levels. I'm hoping to add some more of these down the line.

-fixed possible bug with lower quality settings related to anti-aliasing.

-most items and pickups do a better job of explaining what they are and what they do now.

-a bunch of levels got some polish to make them better. Despite some of the new enemies being a little bit harder, the levels have been smoothed out to make them a little easier. Hopefully anyway.

-lots of other miscellaneous bug fixes and art improvements.
