Increased anomaly timer on Hard and Impossible by 1 tick to counter the long report timer
Replaced the Stock image on the Country House
Rewrote the anomaly randomizer (Anomalies now spawn more according to their difficulty (Example: Hard difficulty anomalies now spawn way more often than easier once when playing on hard))

The wait is finally over—Version 1.0 is here, and we’re incredibly excited that Reverse Problem will officially be purchasable tomorrow, February 19th! [@2:00 PM GMT+2]
After months of hard work, testing, and fine-tuning, we’ve reached this milestone and can’t wait for you to dive in!
Now supports DLSS. Toggle by pressing L3. Available in 20% increments up to 80%. (The resolution will be rendered at this percentage and interpolated with DLSS.)
How quickly can you outrun the horrors that plague you?
Let’s hope it’s pretty fast, because our first ever Voidwrought speedrunning competition has just begun!
Our competition will be split between two categories, each with a different challenge level and prize pool.
Before we get into the cosmic prize pool on offer, we’d ask any prospective speedy Simulacrums to please read the competition rules carefully:
Players must use the Livesplit Timer on their videos to verify their times;
Players must not revert back to older builds to play. They must play on the latest build available at the time of their run. Updates to the game may occur during the duration of the competition, so please update your build before recording your run;
Players are permitted to abuse all game mechanics and glitches to get the lowest time;
Players who edit their videos or try to cheat their time in any way will be immediately disqualified and ineligible to re-enter;
Players can submit multiple runs throughout the competition for both categories. When the competition ends, only your fastest run for each category will be counted;
All players can enter both categories;
All entries will be verified by the developer and publisher team for Voidwrought before a winner is selected;
Players must play on a brand new save file created when pressing 'New Journey' in the main menu to start the run. They cannot exploit any glitches that would allow them to play on an old save file, even if they have selected 'New Journey' in the process;
For Category 1, players must defeat the Council Boss and get the Ledge Grab ability in the clip for it to qualify.
Now let’s take a look at the two categories you can enter, starting with…
Category 1 - The Council Boss Fight & Ledge Grab
Challenge Level: Beginner to Intermediate Run Start: Time starts when selecting New Journey in the main menu. Players may skip through the opening cut-scene. Run End: Time ends when the player touches the Ledge Grab ability after defeating The Council boss. 1st Place Prize: £100 GBP (approx. $120 USD) Steam gift card 2nd Place Prize: £25 GBP (approx. $30 USD) Steam gift card
Category 2 - The Eternal Engine Boss Fight
Challenge Level: Intermediate to Advanced Run Start: Time starts when selecting New Journey in the main menu. Players may skip through the opening cut-scene. Run End: Time ends when you defeat the Eternal Engine and the words “Herald Vanquished” appear on the screen. Time ends at the last input (i.e. the interact input to get the Ledge Grab ability). 1st Place Prize: £200 GBP (approx. $250 USD) Steam gift card 2nd Place Prize: £50 GBP (approx. $60 USD) Steam gift card
The challenge levels are only suggestions so, even if you are a beginner, we still encourage you to try entering both categories to see how quickly you can navigate our world of cosmic horrors!
To submit your run, all you need to do is follow the link here and upload your run for each category. You can either submit your run by uploading a video or by linking a YouTube video depending on what’s easier for you.
The competition will end on Tuesday March 18th, so make sure you’ve submitted your run(s) before the deadline!
Are you exterminating the Heralds and Progenitors with ease? Looking for more of a challenge on your cosmic horror adventures?
Then look no further!
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve added New Game+ and Hard Mode to Voidwrought for all of you skilled Simulacrums.
We’ve added not one, not two, but three New Game+ paths for you to enjoy!
Once you complete the main game, you’ll unlock all of the New Game+ paths. After defeating the Weeper, a New Game Plus Unlocked Message will appear on the screen to let you know that all of the paths have been unlocked.
From there, you’ll need to go back to the main menu and then you’ll have the option to convert an eligible save file into a New Game+ profile. Your main path progression will reset, but you will retain the following regardless of which path you choose:
Health upgrades
Damage upgrades
Relics
Souls
Void charges
So what are the 3 exciting New Game+ paths you can choose from?
The Reborn
For those of you who like a major combat challenge, the Reborn path might be the choice for you. On this path, enemy damage and enemy health have been increased, so you better be ready for a fight!
The Harbinger
If you’re a connoisseur of fine Relics, then the Harbinger might be the right path for you. On this path, enemy damage is increased and your regular attack damage is greatly reduced, but you have access to unlimited Void Charges so you can take full advantage of your Relic abilities at any time!
The Undone
This path is for those Simulacrums who love a lot of risk with their reward. On this path, death itself becomes a weapon. You permanently lose 1 health bar per death and you cannot regain health outside of dying, but your regular attack damage is increased every time you die. On top of that, enemy damage is increased, so you’ll need to carefully consider every hit you take and die tactically for the greatest advantage.
If you revert your New Game+ save file on the Undone path or start a new path after finishing the Undone, the health penalty and damage increase will be reset.
Once a path has been chosen, you must complete that path and defeat the Weeper before you can move on to another path using that save file.
Please note that you can revert your New Game+ save back to a main game save, but the following conditions will apply:
Reverting will restore the save file back to the exact point just before it was converted into a New Game+ file;
Reverting will erase all New Game+ progress made on that save file;
Once a New Game+ save file has been reverted back to a main game save file, it cannot be undone;
Reversion works in layers. For example, if you’ve completed all three New Game+ modes on one save file, you’ll need to revert three times in order to return to the normal game mode.
Alongside the three New Game+ paths, we’ve also added Hardcore Mode to the game for any Simulacrum who yearns for an extra challenge, regardless of whether they’ve completed the game or not.
Hardcore Mode
When creating a new save, players can select the “Hardcore” option instead of the “Normal” option to enter Hardcore Mode without needing to have completed the game first. Please note that this cannot be changed once the save file has been created and you will not be able to revert to Normal difficulty on a Hardcore save file.
In Hardcore Mode, death is permanent and the save file is deleted upon death. It is important to note that, if you complete the game in Hardcore Mode and want to convert your save file into a New Game+ save file, the New Game+ save file will also be in Hardcore Mode.
Please Note: With the addition of New Game+, we have had to change the way save files work. Once you update your build, all of your save files will be converted to this new system. Save files from this version are not compatible with earlier versions of the game so, if you revert to an older build of the game, you will no longer be able to access your save files. If you for any reason need to access your old file, a copy of it can be found here:
Along with all of this new content, we’ve added four new achievements for you to unlock:
Hardcore - Beat the game on Hardcore Mode
The Reborn - Survived the path of the Reborn
The Harbinger - Survived the path of the Harbinger
The Undone - Survived the path of the Undone
We’ve also included the following bug fixes in this update:
Fixed an issue with the player dying and killing the Prince simultaneously.
Wandering Fossil enemies no longer stick to the walls on death.
To celebrate the release of New Game+, we’ve decided to run our first ever speedrunning competition! Follow the link here to find out more about how to enter.
