Thank you everyone for your patience! We have been hard at work since launch to fix some bugs identified by our players. Below are the following changes that are made with this update:
Adjusted spawn zones and frequency to limit 'dead-zones'
Adjusted damage values
Quitting game from pause menu no longer holds a freeze on stats updating
Added additional spawn zones to help keep the flow going for activity
Add some more directionality to the airport to help players locate the pilot & aircraft
Fixed volume issues not tracking player adjusted values
Fixed issue where trees visually blocked player
Fixed grass issue where players and enemies were falling through
Added prompts to end game starter NPCs
Added image to show key bindings (Accessible via pause menu in game)
Added a map that can be accessed via the "M" key during gameplay
Adjusted some weapon and equipment details for balance

THE FIRST GAME BEGINS ON THE 22nd OF FEB AT 11PM GMT
This version includes 2 new playable character classes to unlock and 4 new difficulty levels. The higher difficulty levels also give a sneak peek of some new enemy types including ranged enemies.
Quit and resume run
By popular demand, you can now quit mid-run and resume where you left off but will be reset to the last time you leveled up. To support this change the save system had to be reworked so your save file will be reset again. Hopefully this is the last time!
Scrolls
Scrolls are a new mechanic that function as consumables. A few examples of scroll effects:
Increase damage by 50% for the next 20 seconds of combat
Reduce enemy movement speed by 50% for the next 20 seconds of combat
Reset shop reroll price to $0
and more!
Scrolls can be used at any time, including during combat! Once used they are removed from the factory grid allowing that space to be used for crafting.

If you can make it to near the end of a run there is a new type of enemy to encounter 👀
Quality of life features
Tooltip overhaul
All tooltips have been completely reworked to improve clarity.
Totem tooltips now include their relevant effects: [expand] [/expand]
Assembler tooltips now show their status including, recipe craft time adjusted by Power Crystals, and inventory status: [expand] [/expand]
DPS meter
A new DPS meter can be opened by clicking the stats button in the top left of the factory grid allowing you to optimize your build by seeing the changes in your damage over time or just to watch your big numbers get bigger.

Balancing & Bug fixes
Balance: tweaks to rarity levels and totem bonuses
Balance: improved knockback
Balance: minor attack damage adjustments
Balance: buffs now apply to elemental damage over time
Fix: leveling up with 0hp and dying immediately after
Fix: leveling up as the portal disappears
Fix: the delay when the factory grid is filled up with Rabbit/Locust totems
Fix: incorrect totem stat buff calculations
Fix: buying a totem when you don't have space for it
Currently only Survival Mode is available, but more content coming very soon.
Press [Esc] for Custom Inputs
Enemies have a limited guard. When you attack them or successfully defend, their guard will be weakened until their guard is lowered. Then the enemy can be killed in a single move. However if the enemy lands a successful attack on you, they will recover some of their guard.
Press Defend before an enemy attacks you to block it.
Player will die in 3 hits, however if you can avoid getting hit while the screen flashes red to recover.
Focus attacks act as heavy attacks, they deal more damage to an enemy guard.
If an enemy has a broken hard, you will automatically perform a parry counter attack if you defend their attacks.
Defeated enemies have a 90% chance of dropping a firefly. You can have up to 3 fireflies following you around. Certain abilities will cost a certain amount of fireflies.

- Saves now include a time stamp. This obviously isn't retroactive, only new saves will have that. - Map shows your location. Only works outside. - You can now bug anyone with the listening bug. - Pandemonium and Soul Guide slight redesign. Soul Guide now has a little bit of background information on spirits you bond with. - A book on the Ancients named The Travelers & The Impostors. It's in a bookcase in the Sanctuary. - A journal of the interrogation of Crom named The Word Of Crom. It's in a chest in front of his prison, it unlocks after you defeat him. - A few more hints on certain puzzles. - Enemies won't attack spirits that were summoned that turn now. - Empathy trait now shows if the spirit will accept your bond, and if they'll break the folio. - Emancipation trait is called Unionization now and it makes all your spells cost 0 hp. - You can use Grow spell on yourself now. It only wears off after you sleep. - Acheos has a secret interaction now (might be related to previous point). - There is a new room in the Sanctuary (might be related to previous point). - Redesign of the henge to be more in line with the architecture of the Ancients. - Arena fights on level 4 and 5 have a bit more variety now. - There is a quicktravel connecting level 2 of the arena (at the vault), and level 6 of the arena. - Chomsky has two new quests. One is the existing 'Get arm blaster' quest. If you completed that quest already you can still bring it in to get the dialogue. - All witches, including Hakuin, have something to say after you defeat Crom. - Artemis has something to say when you visit the resistance with her. - Moshie as Mephistopheles has something to say about the ancients (you need to read The Travelers & The Impostors book to unlock it), - Bonewinkle, Spirit Union and Yonah have comments on CEO's death. - Yonah has comments on the Anti-Spirit League (you need to see their booth to unlock it). - New NPC Baphomet, located at the docks - New NPC Twist-Tail, located in the secret room in the Sanctuary. - A whole bunch of small fixes.
That concludes the final part to the crafting system in the form of trader encounters.
Traders
You'll now meet some traders selling a variety of items you can either equip or disassemble. There are three of them in total each specializing in different slots although the third one may be a bit tricky to find.
Translation
I've reworked the language system slightly. Each language will now display how much of it is AI translated when selected with the only current (partly) human translated language being Polish.
In the coming month, I'll be getting the majority of the UI translated in German, Polish, French and Japanese (based on wishlist numbers). This should make the game far more playable in those languages.
Reality Break
Finally, our friends over at Reality Break have launched this week. So if you're impatiently waiting for a space-based Action-RPG I'd highly recommend you check it out. It's very fun!
