If you encounter any bugs, please reach out either as a comment or on Twitter.
Since the game is now out, I would like to speak about it briefly. Peril in the Pines was a game I made in just under 2 months, with a third month of bug fixes, so the majority of it was done in 2 months. The game is a short horror game, and I think it turned out ok. Hopefully, it isn't too buggy but let me know if you encounter any bugs, so I can work on fixing them.
I have plans for one major update with a few fixes and improvements, but that will be it for this game. Or will it...
It's me, the developer of Office Rivals here! Thank you for your interest! This visual novel has been in development for quite some time now, which is almost 2 years.
As you can see, it is very faithful to its inspirations, which are slice-of-life doujinshi and webtoons centered around the office life. If you enjoyed works such as "Dusty Miller" by Hiroya, "I Knocked Up the Lady from My Office" by Special G, "More Than A Sex Friend, Less Than A Fiancée" by Saru no Koshikake, or "Muramatasan's Secret" by Igumox, and many other OL-themed doujinshi, then you're going to enjoy Office Rivals as well.
Currently, I'm working on completing the 4th chapter of this visual novel, which is almost completed at this point. Next, I'll move on to the 5th chapter, and then Office Rivals will be ready for release.
Oh, and Office Rivals will be a part of the Steam Next Fest and the Visual Novel Fest! There will be a demo available for you to try. Do note that it's still work in progress!
If it piques your interest, please keep it in your wishlist! Stay tuned!

In previous posts, we gave you a small taste of the upcoming improvements to one of the rooms. Now it's time to introduce an exciting part – the tools that will enable truly professional work!
At the first stage, you had access to a basic set of tools: sandpaper of various grits, a putty knife, and spray paint. On the second level, you will have access to a professional toolset:
🔧 Angle Grinder – This essential tool is perfect for precisely removing rust, sanding difficult surfaces, and smoothing out irregularities in the hardest-to-reach areas. With the angle grinder, work will be fast and efficient.
🔧 Hand Polisher – A tool that allows you to smooth surfaces after applying putty, preparing them for the next stages of work.
🎨 Pressure Paint Gun – No more time-consuming and uneven painting. The paint gun ensures an even coating, saving time and delivering a perfect final result.
And this is just the beginning! These tools are only the start of what we have prepared for you. More upgrades are coming soon to further streamline your work and help you achieve even better results. Stay tuned and let us know what you think!
Our friends at Drago Entertainment will soon be releasing the free Drive-In Cinema DLC, and to that end, they are publishing a devlog today at 6:00 PM UTC, outlining what to expect from this free add-on.

Full tree trunk collision working, you can stand in the branches just fine. The collision only exists when the player is nearby, so it shouldn't affect performance.
Right now my brother is working on the LOD models, we are using an Impostor system, where the LOD model is a dynamic billboard instead of a simplified model, which is even more efficient (but very hard to set up), when he is done we will check how many trees we will be able to have existing in the world at once, but looks like large forests will be possible.
As for which trees we will have, at first there will be 3 dynamic and 2 permanent types
The dynamic trees will grow in the wild and the player will be able to plant them eventually: -Edenian Lightwood (on the picture) for Softwood -Dark Oak (background) for Darkwood -Apple Trees as our first fruit trees.
Permanent trees will exist on the world at fixed positions and cannot be destroyed or added. -Ladrasil are the fairy trees, these magical trees will have more relevancy when the fairy colony mechanic is fully implemented, they will also be points of interest useful for nativation when the map is expanded due to their unique appearance, here how the trunk looks like (leaves for it are not implemented yet) -The other tree will be Trees of Wisdom, a magical variant of the apple tree that only exists inside the city of Edengrall, they will replace all the random birch trees inside the city gardens, and they will produce seedless fruits during early summer. These trees were created with alchemy by the founders of Edengrall and the secrets for recreating them is lost with their disappearance.
We need at least two more weeks to get something playable out.
