Reworked changes from last patch which was preemptively rolled out.

Important changes to chests and personal stashes were made to prevent stash wipes and empty chests on non-host players.

Fixed a bug where chests and stash inventories would only save the next to last action that you made on it as a non-host player.

Changes to savedata were made to prevent data corruption.

Important change to equipment weight, from all the equipped weapons, only the one currently held in hand is added to equipment weight, the tooltip in the menu has changed to reflect this. Armor weight and spells weight still apply as usual.
This change was made to encourage players to have a variety of weapons on hand at all times to deal with all kinds of weaknesses and enemy types.


Fixed a couple of attacks from the pillbug pugilist that had no damage type assigned, bypassing characters defences.

Feature Updates
1. Controller Support
You can now enjoy seamless gameplay using a controller. This update enhances accessibility and makes managing your farm and store even more comfortable.


2. Radial Menu for Growbed
A new radial menu has been added for growbeds, providing quicker access to important interactions and streamlining your workflow.


3. Info Text for NPC Cashier
When the NPC cashier is idle, an info text will now appear above their head, keeping you informed of their status.



Optimizations
We’ve made several under-the-hood improvements to boost game performance and smoothen your experience:
  • Optimized fish flocking mechanics for better visuals and efficiency.
  • Improved data transfer processes to reduce delays and make interactions faster.
  • Enhanced loading times, ensuring you get into the game quicker.
  • Streamlined canvas performance for a more responsive UI.
  • Optimized handling for racks, growbeds, and boxes, reducing lag and improving stability.

Gameplay Improvements
1. Marketing Improvements : Boosted the number of customers visiting your store, increasing sales opportunities.
2. Plot Node Adjustment : The plot requirement has been updated, reducing the "Own $5000" node to "Own $3000" to improve progression balance.
3. 2x Employee Work Speed : Employees now work at double the speed, helping you manage tasks more efficiently.
4. Shorter Hold Duration : Reduced the hold duration by 50% when moving racks and growbeds, making adjustments faster and easier.
5. Improved Reticle Visibility : Enhanced reticle readability during daytime, ensuring clearer targeting and interaction.



Bug Fixes
1. Fixed an issue where growbed parts could become unpickable when placed near certain objects (walls, roofs, etc.).
2. Resolved the problem of players not auto-leaving cashier mode when switching roles with the NPC cashier.
3. Adjusted employee harvesting sounds to 3D audio, so it no longer sounds too distant.
4. Moved hover object info text to the right-hand side for a cleaner UI experience.
5. Fixed the legend duplication issue when changing languages.

Drivers!

In today's update, you’ll be able to explore the streets of Barcelona with the Delivery Driver DLC. This includes a new way to make money in Taxi Life along with normal jobs, company management and now package delivery. We talked a bit in our previous blog and did a deep dive on some of the main features of this update so, if you missed that check it out!

New Vehicle: The Victoris
The Delivery Driver DLC includes a new vehicle called the Victoris. It’s a powerful pickup ready to tackle package deliveries with ease. No worries, you’ll still be able to pick up regular passengers also.


(funfact: the Victoris was named after our 3D Artist,”Victor” - Shoutouts to Victor!)

New Game Mode: Delivery Driver
In this new game mode, you'll be able to pull up to any one of the new warehouse icons on the map. From there, you’ll be faced with a UI showcasing the deliveries. You’ll be able to pick and choose which deliveries to take based on the size of your vehicle. So for example, the Victoris will be able to hold 8 packages as compared to smaller vehicles which will hold less. We talked a lot about this and even answered some questions about it during our last livestream, so feel free to check it out!

Now it’s time to get to the nitty gritty. We have a good amount of actual patch notes to get through. So lets go ahead and take a look at some of the bug fixes and changes we made:

AI & World Adjustments
  • Pedestrian spawn rate slider added—so you can finally decide how many jaywalkers you want to deal with.
  • Parallax vehicles now properly break and get dirty instead of remaining pristine after collisions
  • Fixed an issue where passengers would appear below Parallax cars instead of inside them (we promise, no ghost passengers!)
  • Various small spoiler adjustments on certain vehicles
  • Stability & Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a crash when resetting perks
  • Addressed a bug where dialogues could stop working after canceling a Challenge
  • Mouse steering no longer interferes with the lean keybind
  • Fixed a bug where the game could freeze after multiple save reloads
  • Fixed issues with engine behavior in simulation + clutch mode

Other Additions
  • Added version number to the main menu widget
  • Various AI pedestrian logic tweaks (yes, fewer suicidal pedestrians)
  • Optimized backend FMOD updates for better audio performance
  • Fixes to in-cabin interactive panels for multiple languages
  • Fixes to clock display
  • Fixes to impact detection for AI vehicles
  • Fixes to experience bar calculations

For two weeks since the demo dropped, we were watching friends and streamers play our tiny little game, carefully recording the things that we can improve, and working on the new big update!

So here it is, NEW BIG UPDATE OF THE DEMO!!!

What's in the new big update?
  • Anomalies, which feel like mini boss-stages
  • Now the game displays which upgrades you already bought
  • More juice and animations
  • Updated the list of prestige upgrades: removed sad upgrades, added new cool upgrades!
  • Adjusted the game progression so it should feel more smooth and satisfying
  • Added several card upgrades: more shards to everyone!
  • Made descriptions more clear, fixes a lot of UI things, added new sounds
  • Added support of custom screen resolution, including 3440х1440
  • Fewer bugs

Please note that this upgrade will reset your saved game. Sorry, such things will happen until the release date, because we're still doing some major changes in the game. Hope it's OK!

We're still can't believe how many people checked out our demo and how many positive responses we had from friends, streamers and people we don't even know!
