Hi everyone! I'm excited to announce that version 1.11 is now live! As I've said previously, this is the last backer update and introduces some new content as well as a new character. I will continue support on the game in the form of bug fixes and other updates, and it's not out of the question that I may add some content later down the road. But if you're looking for a "100% complete" version of the game, this update is going to be pretty close.
Memoirs has been a long road, and one issue I find myself constantly thinking about is whether I hid certain concepts too deeply within the content, or behind various obfuscating layers. Perhaps even to the most dedicated finder of secrets, it will appear too disorganized.
This is another part of my craft I intend to improve on for the sequel. Maybe Vampire Syndicate will be similiar to Dark Souls, with players obsessively smacking on walls. But there are few hidden chambers to be found, just the whispers of ideas.
I'm getting ahead of myself, hope you enjoy the latest update!
New Content:
Meet Nova, a mysterious hooded woman, long waiting in the shadows, that has finally approached you with a request.
Explore more of Pike's Infinite Library! An ominious location run by a totally really trustworthy dude that only appears on the overworld map once you obtain 20 Esteem. It's a peaceful place, no running or fighting allowed.
Read books! Because it's a library! Discover horrible secrets! Have fun!
Also a new threesome scene for female Facilitators with Kore and Thassia.

What Awaits You?

Three survivors step up to the challenge… but there’s a hidden fourth waiting to be unlocked. Steel and circuitry weren’t meant to survive in the void. And yet… something has awakened. Was it always meant to think? Or did the void change it?

This season, Crush Zone: Demolition Derby is celebrating the thrill of couch co-op as part of the festival! To mark the occasion, we at Desert Beagle have added some fresh quality-of-life improvements to our demo.
Whether you're side by side on the couch or tearing it up online via Steam Remote Play, Crush Zone is built for pure multiplayer mayhem!
So, grab a friend (or a rival), jump in your ride, and wreak some havoc! And if you haven’t already, wishlist Crush Zone: Demolition Derby to stay in the loop! 🚗💨💥
Shed Bucks, Screen Resolution, Vital Colliders. This is a test session to see if shed bucks still exist. Some changes were made. But even if there are still some this will help me narrow it down greatly!
To mark the occasion, we’re revealing some new content and updating our demo - try it out over the next few weeks and tell us what you think!
New Character Sprites - Meet the Gentlemen!
New Core Feature - Hat Stealing!
Whenever a player is pushed (or dies), their hat will pop right off and become interactable. Walking over a hat will automatically stack it on top of any other hats you already have and, of course, give bonus points if you manage to carry it over the finish line!
New Game Mode - King of the Hat!
In this mode, all players will begin hat-less and have to fight over a single hat in the middle of trap-filled arenas!
New Equalization Mechanics
On a different note - a core design goal we have with “Manners Be Damned!” is making the game engaging for groups of players with different skill levels. To that end, we have a number of systems that subtly aid players with less points, but we’re always thinking of what else we could do. With this update, we’ve added more of these “equalizers”:
Trap durability - all metal-themed traps (axes, sawblades, etc.) now break after a certain number of kills, making those areas easier to pass over time.
Revenge ghosts - in the King of the Hat game mode, players that perish spawn ghosts that chase down the current “Hat-Holder”, creating more catch-up opportunities for everyone.
Other Changes and Improvements
Enabled jumping on heads! Added new music tracks by our good friend, Mint Out. Updated a number of old art assets (level entrances, backgrounds, torches, etc.). Added new VFX (level finish, player respawn, hat respawn, etc.). Added scene transitions. Iterated on all level designs. Improved platforming feel. Fixed a number of old and new bugs.
We hope you enjoy the fest and we can't wait to hear what you think of the update! - The Cheeky Stork Team
