Welcome to PROJECT TACHYON.
This project will make you a special agent called a Tachyon Agent, who can bring information obtained in the future back to the past in order to stop the rebellion of the A.I. mainframe, Omega.

For those who wishes to join, I’ll hand you the mission brief.
This time, the material is about “Combat”, which is inevitable to accomplish the mission.



Agent Sigma's attacks can be divided into two categories.
“Basic Attack” from a long distance using firearms
and “Melee Attack” using melee weapons.
The battle unfolds by interweaving these two types of attacks.

The basic strategy is to use “Basic Attack” to destroy each enemy individually while maintaining a safe distance from them.
Knowing the range and characteristics of each weapon will make it easier to get around.





Enemies will attack in large numbers, and you may be surrounded.
In such cases, use “Melee Attack” to deal with them calmly.
Some melee weapons can drown out or reflect enemy attacks.





Refer to the briefing for future missions, and aim for the success of the project.
It might be a good idea to join early through the demo and prepare for the battle.

Sunflowers and the Goddess of Death - theincandescentbard
First off, huge thank you to everyone who has given our demo a try and/or checked out our game over the last few months, including those just now discovering Sunflowers and the Goddess of Death during RPG Maker Festival 2025! We are truly humbled at the interest our small studio's first title is gathering. Our journey continues on this quest to build a truly memorable and enjoyable RPG that hearkens back to the great, story-driven adventures of our past.

On that note, we've been hard at work implementing some updates to the demo that we've put together for the full version. We wanted to get this update out before the start of the festival...but as game development sometimes goes, the new features were just not quite ready in time. Quality and polish come first for us, so we had to delay the release a bit to make sure things were as good as we could possibly do.

We hope you enjoy this update to our free demo and have a wonderful time playing Sunflowers and the Goddess of Death :). If you enjoyed the demo and/or are looking forward to the full release, please consider giving Sunflowers and the Goddess of Death a Wishlist on Steam!

In order to experience the new features including spatial ambience, a New Game will have to be started. We apologize to anyone in the middle of a play-through of the demo; you may experience some issues on saves made prior to 1.6 due to the large amount of backend code changes. That being said, we very much recommend starting up a new save and taking a look at the updated features and artwork! :D

đŸŒ»Added spatial ambience BGS to Amuniai, Temple Grounds, Verdant Temple
-Waterfalls, rivers, campfires, and other sources of ambient sound now grow louder as you approach them and pan depending on the direction you are in relation to them. Our goal with this is to bring our audio systems up a notch, to make them more immersive and further envelop you in the world of Urdin.



This spot is my personal favorite area with the new spatial audio. You can faintly hear the crashing of the waterfalls alongside the gentle bubbling of the river.


đŸŒ»Updated Growth (field map) spell for smoother climbing animations.
-No more jerkiness running near climbable vines and now you'll feel resistance when climbing.

đŸŒ»Fully implemented Einno's Terraflare Arte.
-The Arte before, while learnable, was not fully implemented and, due to a bug, had no real effect at all. (Truth be told, this Arte was not meant to be obtainable in the demo, it kinda slipped its way in there.) However, we thought, why hold our favorite dryad back? We've decided to fully implement the Arte in the demo including the animations, background code, description, artwork, etc. Everything is now fully in place and the Arte is completely functional! Enjoy!

đŸŒ»Changed health bars to green and AP bars to orange. Small swap here but better matches skills, status effects, etc.

đŸŒ»Updated text colors relating to a variety of game information.
-Overall, item and skill effects colors will more closely relate to what they do and what they affect for better clarity.

đŸŒ»Updated the base resolution used by the game engine. What this ultimately amounts to is better support for widescreen monitors (which today are more common than traditional size monitors). Most players likely won't notice a change here, regardless of monitor type, but for some monitors it makes map scrolling/map edges much smoother.

đŸŒ»Wedelia now fully restores her AP after waking up from pacifying the spirits of the wood (main story quest). Just a small quality of life change here.

đŸŒ»Adjusted the color of the scroll bar seen in multi-part windows to a soothing forest green.

đŸŒ»Added arrows to various windows throughout the game for better clarity when windows have additional options that can be selected. (Thanks Hatton!)

đŸŒ»Updated art for Dwynwyn in all of her scenes. We felt her character art was lacking a bit and there were some issues with the shading on her portrait. Cleaned that up so her confident, put-together self can shine (for awhile).

đŸŒ»Fixed a typo in Wedelia's monologue about her tea ingredients.

đŸŒ»Fixed an issue where Wedelia had a character shadow indoors in the opening cutscene but no other NPC did...ominous, but not intended.

We will continually update this notice with any additional issues and bugs that are found, as well as any impactful issues identified before February. Please keep track of the updates during your gameplay.

[February 27th]
■ (#10) Public Matchmaking Not Canceling After Switching from Private Matchmaking

- When attempting Public Matchmaking after switching to Private Matchmaking and entering content, the Public Matchmaking request is not canceled.

- As a result, if a player enters content via Private Matchmaking and continues playing, the Public Matchmaking request may succeed, causing the player to enter the new content unexpectedly.


[February 19th]
■ (#8) Missing Effect Description in ‘Continuous Exaltation’ Module Tooltip for Languages Other Than Korean/English

- It has been identified that in languages other than Korean and English, the effect description stating that the ‘Continuous Exaltation’ module applies to the ‘1st Active Skill’ is missing.

- Please note that the cooldown and skill power reduction effects of the ‘Continuous Exaltation’ module are applied only to the ‘1st Active Skill.’



■ (#8) Awards and Battle Pass Challenges Not Counting When Responding to Support Requests

- It has been identified that when responding to a Support Request, awards and Battle Pass Challenges requiring ‘Respond to Support Requests’ are not being counted.

■(#8) (Resolved) Issue with Incorrect Description of ‘The Last Dagger’ Unique Ability Effect

- An issue has been identified where the description of the ‘Ultimatum’ effect in ‘The Last Dagger’ unique ability was incorrectly stated.

ㄮ Actual Effect: Firearm ATK × Rounds per Magazine × Damage

- This issue will be fixed in Hotfix 1.2.8. Please note that the actual damage is being applied correctly.

■ (#8) (Resolved) Incorrect Display of Item Quantity When Purchasing Packages (Excluding 'Paint Bundle')

- We have identified an issue where the item quantity displayed in the ‘acquisition notification window’ is incorrect when purchasing packages from the shop, excluding the 'Paint Bundle.'

- Please note that the actual items are granted according to the quantities specified in the bundle information.



■ (#9) (Resolved)Purchase Button Appearing Active Before Reset for 'Weekly Fine Adjustment Control Axis Package' and 'Weekly Ion Accelerator Package'

- We have identified an issue where the purchase button appears active as if the 'Weekly Fine Adjustment Control Axis Package' and 'Weekly Ion Accelerator Package' can be purchased again before the reset period, after an initial purchase.

- Please note that clicking the purchase button during this period will not allow the purchase, and you will be able to repurchase the packages after the reset period has passed.



■ (#9) (Resolved) Unable to Match When Attempting Private Matching While in Public Matching

- We have identified an issue where attempting private matching for another content while in public matching results in an infinite matching load, preventing access to the content.

- If you encounter this issue, please move to the title screen or reconnect to the game to resume normal gameplay.


■ (#6)(Resolved) Issue with the Fellow’s Abilities Not Functioning Properly

- An issue has been identified where the Fellow’s "Item Auto Pickup" feature is not being applied.

- An issue has been identified where the Fellow’s "Auto-Dismantle Items" feature is being applied without a cooldown.

- This issue is currently being addressed, and a hotfix is being prepared. Please note that the patch schedule may vary depending on the platform. We will provide further updates through an official notice once the patch is complete.

■ (#8) (Resolved) Issue with Duplicate Shortcut Keys Applied to Quantity Adjustment Buttons in Certain UI

- It has been identified that the same shortcut key has been redundantly applied to quantity adjustment buttons in certain UI elements.

■ (#8) (Resolved)Operation: Kate’s Experiment Support Event Reward Display Issue

- We have identified an issue where the reward item for Operation: Kate’s Experiment Assistant Event – Continuous Operation II was incorrectly displayed.

- We sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by the incorrect reward information.

- As an apology for this issue, we will be providing additional compensation. The details of the compensation will be announced through the in-game notice “Kate's Experiment: Call of the Flame Event” on Friday, February 14.

- Only the image of the Hagios Sheepdog is not displayed, but the product can still be purchased normally.



■ Freyna’s Exclusive Quest Icon Appearing for Other Descendants

- Freyna’s exclusive quest cannot be played with other Descendants and can only be progressed with Freyna or Ultimate Freyna.



■(#8) (Resolved) Support Request Mission Not Disappearing from the Support Request Board After Abandonment



■(#3) (Resolved) The issue where the purification score of elite monsters is applied twice in Void Erosion Purge stages 21, 24, and 27

- In Void Erosion Purge stages 21, 24, and 27, the purification score of elite monsters is applied twice, causing you to achieve 100% purification without defeating some monsters.

■ (#3) (Resolved)Issue where random mission icons occasionally appear in the top-left corner of the radar UI during field transitions.



■ (#9) (Resolved)The issue where the Award names ‘Acquire Ines’ and ‘Reach Ines Level’ are displayed in English instead of the appropriate language, except for Korean.



■ The issue where the Fire Rate option of the Tactical Augmentation Core (Tactical Rifle) is not applied under certain circumstances.

- In Update 1.2.4, the Fire Rate option has been temporarily removed when equipping the Tactical Augmentation Core (Tactical Rifle).

- This will be improved in the future to allow players to obtain the Fire Rate option once the issue is resolved.



■ [PS][XBOX] Display of the Top Menu When Clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ Buttons to Navigate to the Homepage

- On the ‘PS’ and ‘XBOX’ platforms, clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ buttons to navigate to the homepage results in the top menu being displayed.

- Please note that, while navigation to other pages within the homepage is possible, actions such as ‘Login,’ ‘Start Game,’ and ‘Enter Coupon’ cannot be performed due to this issue.



■ 'Sigvore's Proof' Item Progress Not Applying in Access Info.

- There is an issue where the progress for the 'Sigvore's Proof' item is not being applied in the Access Info.



■(#8) (Resolved) [English] Mislabeling of Skin Set for male Descendant as "Unisex" in the Store

- This issue is scheduled to be fixed in January 2025. Players who purchased the skin due to this mislabeling can request a refund.

- Details on how to request a refund will be provided in the future "Known Issues" notice when the fix is implemented.
* Players who purchased the skin due to this mislabeling can request a refund through our Customer Service with the account that made the purchase.

- Please provide (1) the name of purchased Descendant skin and (2) purchase date in your request ticket.

- Once refunded, the affected skins will be retrieved from your account. For more details, please contact our Customer Service.


■ [PS5] Voice Chat Issue When Creating a Party on PS4 Platform

- It has been identified that voice chat does not function properly when creating a party on the PS4 platform.



■ Intel CPU Issue.

- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.

- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating 'Out of video memory' when launched.

This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.

- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel's official response for your reference.

 

■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs

- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.

(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]

- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.

(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]

- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.

 

■ Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly

- If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.
